For the United States, a lot has happened with terrorism. The Pearl Harbor attack and the 9/11

The first news event that was chosen for this assignment is the Flint “Serial Stabbings”, a string of 18 stabbing attacks in the spring and summer of 2010, which resulted in five deaths.

RWANDA- Yesterday, during the brutal massacres of the Tutsi people a young man courageously protected countless bystanders and civilians against the Hutu. The young man risked his life for the civilians, and managed to save a majority of the town.

Many lives were taken by the known group Isis 3. 90 people were injured in all of the attacks and 63 people had died

The terrorist responsible for this attack is Timothy McVeigh. Months before the bombing, McVeigh, along with his accomplice Terry Nichols, was believed to be involved in an “anti-government militia group” (Casey 3). McVeigh believed the government was devising a plan to deprive him and as well as the rest of his country of their rights as Americans to bear arms (Casey).

There were also Somali American’s that were killed in the bombing. Mohamoud Elmi, a Somali American from ohio was confirmed killed. The Second Somalia American was Ahmed Eyow, 50, who lived in Minnesota.

The exact reason of why the committed this crime to this day is unclear. The personal journals of the two perpetrators referenced that they wanted the event to compete with those of the Oklahoma City bombing and other deadly events that happened in the United States around the 1900s. The attack is known as the deadliest High School shooting in the history of the United States.

The attackers were Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia and several other Arab nations. Purpose: To inform readers of the effects the recent terrorist attacks have on society today.

For example, terrorists attacks were made in Paris, France in 2015. On Friday November 13, 2015 at 3:20 p.m, guns went off, bombs exploded, and many people killed and wounded. Gunmen and suicide bombers all had hit a concert hall, a major stadium, and restaurants and bars almost all at the same time. It had left 130 people dead, and hundreds wounded, with more than 100 in critical condition. The President of France described this attack as an “act of war” against the Islamic State. Three teams were believed to be behind these attacks. Instantly after the attacks, French police carried out hundreds of raids across the country in search of the suspects. This tragedy hurt, and touched every single heart in the world. The U.S. sent troops over for support, and to help Paris out. Carried throughout all social media, were messages and prayers going towards Paris (Paris Attacks;BBC News, 2015).
