The book I have been reading for the past few months is called superfudge. Written by Judy Blume. It's about Fudge, he plans to be a bird when he grows up. As far as his older brother, Peter, is concerned, Fudge will grow up to be a big plain! Dealing with Fudge has been hard enough, but now Peter has a whole new set of problems. His parents have decided to move to New Jersey for a whole year! What's more, Peter’s mom is going to have a new baby. How will Peter survive if the baby becomes a carbon copy of Fudge? Basically Peters's family was living in New York & their parents hit them with a bomb shell saying that they're moving to New Jersey for a whole year. They also mentioned that the Mom would be expecting a baby. Peter already had a little brother Fudge that he couldn't stand and …show more content…
They move to New Jersey and Fudge and Peter made a new friend. So far Peter still doesn't quite like his little brother and he's kinda rubbing off on the new baby , Tootsie. They eventually decided to move back to New York after Fudge and his friend had decided to run off to the bakery without either of their parents knowing and Fudge made a point that his parents ran away from what they had put in New York and the parents thought about it and decided to move back out to New York. Peter was the oldest , he was in the 6th grade. He felt as if he was too old to play with his little brother. He was a fun boy who liked to hang with his friends and kinda had a mouth on him. 75% of his remarks were sarcastic. He felt as if his family kind of abandoned him and forgot
Having six siblings as a child, and being the youngest, not much attention was payed to him. His family was not very wealthy, and having five other siblings did not help. His father was in World War II,so he grew up most of the time with basically one other boy in the house, his older brother. Growing up, he was generally left to himself, so he was out of the house often, more and more as he grew up, with his friends. He did not play any organized sports, because their really was not enough time for it with so many children, although his brother was involved in Little League Baseball.
Plot: A main event is that the one who sent the letters wasn’t actually Laura's dad. It her little sister Kitty. She sent them because Laura was being mean and she wanted to get back at her for being mean. Another event is that Laura goes with Peter on the ski trip. After she thought about it she wasn’t going to go but then she did. A 3rd event is that Laura and Peter broke up for good. They got into a fight about Peter still having feelings for his ex girlfriend. A 4th event is that Laura says she will never like Peter again but after she thinks about their relationship she starts to like him again. She went and found some stationary and began writing another love letter to Peter that would never get sent.
Peter changes a lot during the whole story. At the start of the book peter is a reckless boy that is always getting into trouble and never listens to the directions. Peter and his class are doing and plant project where they have to bring in ingredients for the plant to grow. Peter got something things that were rather different from everyone else.“I brought in cat litter (used), soda and a little bit of maple syrup.” (26) He brought this in even though Mr. Terupt told them not to bring in something that would stink up the classroom. Peter did not obey the rules Mr. Terupt had given them. Peter always

Peter is quiet and a shy boy. He has many duties chopping wood, fetching vegetables and potatoes from downstairs, and looking out for his cat. Anne thought he was boring and awkward. She later thought different and in up falling in love with him after she found him as a decent boy.
Peter is also involved in a huge plot twist at the end of the book. I think what Peter says
Peter has changed greatly because of the vents inside the annex as soon as he got in the annex he took off his star of david he said too burn it anne said she couldn't throw it away peter said ¨You can't throw…?Something they branded you with…?that they made you were so they could spit on you”
While Peter’s lover realizes that she no longer loves Peter, it is clear that she finds love for herself. “And that was how I fell out of love with my professor…to which I am grateful to this day.” (186) She is now free from Peter’s constant complaining and blames him for her not getting to see the city in which they vacationed, “though I never got to see very much of it, because of the rain.” (186)
All he wanted to do is play games and swear. The boy always had this evil look and was an allusion of Jack. I remember that one day when the teacher said “Go to the office right now! I’m sick and tired of your behavior.” The boy was so close to flipping a table and was ready to burst out crying.
He had suffered several unfortunate events that sent him on an emotional rollercoaster. He had a counterproductive childhood and did not get to experience most of the joys that regular children do. He was forced to relocate a lot, and this caused him to become emotionally unstable.
Anne was very immature, while peter acted more adult-like. Peter had a mean and abusive father, while Anne had
-Obnoxious, when he announces his disapproval towards his mother's new relationship publically. -Acting crazy/mad, when he was running around the theatre targeting his mom and uncle negatively. -Skeptical of his friends, when he accuses them of trying to “play him like an instrument.”
Since his grandmother had raised him for most of his life, he had a closer bond with her. This bond created tensions with his mother who accused him of being ungrateful. Instead of a bright and cheery teenager, I sat across an empty shell. He replied to my questions with downcast eyes, in a monotone voice, without a hint of any affect. He said that he
A college education is worth the cost of time, money, and many sleepless nights. For those upstanding men and women who ask the question, “Won’t college cause a large amount of student debt?” the answer is yes, but only for a miniscule amount of time. Obtaining a college education shows employers that a college graduate is hard working, which increases the job spectrum, and allows a person to seek their dream job.
Peter's going on sixteen, a shy, awkward boy whose company won't amount to much.” (Frank 165). Anne thought of Peter as a let down. Because of his “lone wolf” personality that greatly differs from Anne bold personality, they don't seem like a good fit; but later they becomes closer. After bonding over books, Anne goes on to state, “Kitty, I sound like someone who's in love and can talk about nothing but her dearest darling. And Peter is a darling.” (Frank 165). Anne's use of the word darling shows how fond she's become of Peter. They read together and talk about serious topics, that not even the adults care to think about. Although Anne has grown and changed through the duration of the novel, she still remains the same in one way.
