Have you ever heard of a utopia? It’s an imagined place where everything is perfect. It may sound great, but one person’s utopia could be someone else’s dystopia. A dystopia is an imagined place where everything is unpleasant or bad. In utopias you must give up free will and your equality.
Utopias will always cause one person or another to be upset or feel abandoned. Utopias simply do not work. In a utopia not everyone will be equal. There has to be a leader in all societies to avoid chaos.
The ruler would be higher up in rank than the citizens. They would have more power and authority.

The handicapper general is the leader and everybody is doing what she thinks is a good idea. All of the citizens hate the life they live, but they have to follow the leader’s utopia. So, already the utopia is somebody’s dystopia. In a utopia you have to sacrifice free will. Free will is the right to decide what you’re going to do and how you’re going to do it. People will not have the choice to walk to work or to run to work. They will not be able to choose what color shoes they wear or how they do their hair. For example, in
John’s utopia everyone may have to wear grey shoes, but what if Rachel doesn’t want to wear grey shoes. In “ The House of the Scorpion”, which is a book about a drug lord who has a clone that is trying to find a place in the world. All of the eejits have the same uniform because it is what El Patron wants them to wear, not what they want to wear. The citizens will not have free will because they are being controlled by someone else’s utopia. Lastly, utopias will never be perfect because someone will always be upset.
