Melanoma is a type of skin cancer. The stage of melanoma, it means how the doctors describe a melanoma growth or spread in the body. It is important to determine the stage of melanoma it will help the doctors decide the best treatment for each stage. When the doctors discover melanoma in its first stages, so there is a high chance to treat it. Each stage each describes the level of the skin is affected, the size of the tumor. This stage will identify the five stages of melanoma. The first stage of melanoma is stage 0. This stage is the tumor still on the skin, which cancer cell not growth or spread through another type of the body. The next stage is stage I. The stage 0 and stage I its the tumor not spread to any part of the body. There are three primary characteristics of melanoma in stage I are tumor thickness, mitotic, and ulceration. There are two subclasses of the stage I are IA and IB. The different between two subclasses in ulceration and mitotic count. The next stage is II tumor. the tumor thickness and ulceration which are occurring on stage I determine stage II. Stage II tumors are larger than stage I.
