This is how I came up with the idea of identifying my four values. I choose them because they describe certain characteristics about me and how I am as a person. These values that I have pick mean a lot to me very different ways. I used the exercise to identify what my five core values by all my accomplishments in these categories. The first is creativity, I love to create something out of nothing whether it's building a computer out of spare parts or learning new thing around the world. Creativity is a big part life I enjoy it because it is everywhere you look it is there. I am here to make a positive difference despite being imperfect. The decision I have made in the past have inspired me to move towards my future goal on getting educational degree. As my creativity level increase on to how to set goal to accomplish my classes one-by-one I feel more motivate to push myself to finish. My family encourages me not stop for anything and see it to the end. I feel better by the day as I get further threw college. I will accomplish something that nobody in my family has ever done before. To be recognize by my family, well that be honor, when I finish college and walk the stage. As for my job while I am going to school they have offered to help with my workload at my workplace so I will have more time to study. My work reflects my values and enables me to offer a hand out and enhance the lives of others at the company. The employees will remember me for being there to lend a hand, keeping an open mind, and for getting involved in issues that matter most. My life right now is hectic but manageable both work and school but I see myself in a new career right after college. This will be my greats accomplishment in my life but I feel I wont stop there. Because more door will open and I will have other paths to choose from. I will have a chance to make more money than I ever made before and be able to afford another thing I could afford with my current job. I look at it as a step up in my journey in becoming a computer
What do I consider my core personal values? A value can be defined as trait or attribute inherently desired. In essence, they are intangible qualities that are deemed worthy of possessing. Yet, I have never given much thought to identifying what my desirable qualities were as a person. I believe through my life I have I claimed or believed I had values which guided me, but I made these claims without consciously identifying these values. This seems rather problematic. Essentially what I am considering is this, that the set of positive standards that are to be used to guide or determine how I distinguish from right or wrong, the principles that help regulate my
Identify some core values of this organization as best as you can. What do they believe in (beyond organizational success or profitability)? How might their revealing these values to customers and employees create opportunities to exceed expectations? How can they translate core values into actions to produce A-plus value, thus strengthening relationships?
In order to be successful, a company’s core values must work cohesively with its vision and mission statements. Together, they provide direction for the company, motivate and inspire employees, aligns and guides actions throughout the organization, and communicates to stakeholders management’s aspirations for the company’s future (Thompson, 2016). Targets mission statement created in 1994, is to fulfill the needs and fuel the potential of their guests by making target their preferred shopping destination in all channels by delivering outstanding value, continuous innovation
It is extremely important for everyone to give back to their communities and I hope I can inspire others to continue their own dreams of being successful. When I become a family physician, I will be able to help many different people and advise them on how to live a healthy life. As one of Jordan’s valedictorians this year, I know how important school is and have always worked diligently to get to where I am today. I am determined and will always continue to push myself to achieve my goals. I never give up and am able to learn from my failures in order to grow and succeed. I have always loved helping others and know that I will continue striving to provide the best care possible wherever I work. I will continue working tirelessly when I am at CSU Long Beach because I know college will be more challenging than high school, but I will not let that stop me from being successful. I am going to try my best to graduate with honors because I know I have the potential in me to accomplish that goal. Family is extremely important to me and I do hope to someday get married and have a family of my own, but I know that can wait until after I accomplish my career
3.) I love to stay active which includes swimming and golf. Values: accomplishments, health, advanced, education, freedom,
Personally, it is not difficult to identify the core values that I hold dear, that guide my behavior. It is, however, much more difficult to rank them in terms of their importance to me. If I’m paring down a list of important values that I believe are most influential to me, responsibility, sacrifice, laughter, and integrity stand out as those that simply guide my behavior on a regular basis. If I’m attempting to put them in order, it would be as follows:
Have you ever wondered why states spend roughly one billion dollars a year on children (20 and under) who are attempting suicide or have attempted suicide (Nami, 2010)? That is due to the thousands of children who live their daily lives with an undiagnosed mental disorder. What is children’s mental health? Children’s mental health is defined as growing emotionally while developing healthful social skills and learning how to deal with problems (CDC, 2013). Some mental disorders found in children include: mood and anxiety disorders, behavior disorders, Autism spectrum disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia, and substance use disorder. ADHD, a neurodevelopmental disorder, is the most common disorder of children
Core values define who people are, what they believe in, and how they live their lives. Many core values shape people. Three to five core values that describe Americans today would be freedom of speech, freedom of religion, equality, diversity, and unity. Freedom of speech has affected advertising because it allows people to display and talk about whatever they want including things that are provocative. An example would be the marketing of KY gel and Viagra on television. Many commercials show couples in bed, and for me, when I was younger, I didn’t see displays as often as I do now. Freedom of speech is being free and open to discuss ideas and issues at any given time (Brodsky & McIlrath, 2001).
“People ask the difference between a leader and a boss. The leader leads and the boss drives”- Theodore Roosevelt. What does it mean to be a leader? What defines a good leader? History has taught us many things about leadership. Good Leadership can be the difference between winning a war and losing a war. Even in everyday life, a good leader is capable of achieving much greater things than a normal person. But leadership is a powerful tool that can be used both for the good of mankind and its downfall.
Honor, Courage, and Commitment are three core values that has changed me to become a better citizen. First of all, I follow the Navy core values, Honor Courage, and Commitment, outside of JROTC. Like; Being honorable, and having respect for others, treating everyone the same, no one is different and making hard decisions through my JROTC life. As a cadet, I learn from my mistakes. I see the world differently from others. I've noticed I always push myself to do better and I've been thinking about my life after high school, and who I want to become. JROTC is just a small step. When I first joined JROTC, I didn't expect such a dramatic change. Oh no, I didn't.
Building my relationship with God is my priority because my faith is extremely important to me. Although I grew up with Christian values I lost my way while on my journey with God. Around the time I began high school, I was influenced by my peers and started to go down the wrong path. I did not realize the damage I was doing to myself and my family. It wasn't until I had to experience life the hard way and wanted to change the way I was living. After I went through my rebellious stage, I wanted to make God my priority and live a life that served him because it was him who helped me get through rough times. Azusa will help assist me in building my relationship with God by using the values of the four cornerstones. These cornerstone values will
Life is hard. I don’t know what the situation of others is; maybe some people do not need to worry about anything and live comfortable life. Nevertheless, from my perspective, life is hard for most people. Kids need to grow well, while parents need to take care of kids. Students want to from under control, while teachers want to manage them. Labors want a high salary, while their boss has no money to hand out. For me, as an ESL student now, it’s tough because I have to take English classes in the university every day, especially the classes that begin every morning at 8.
Values are the fundamental beliefs of a person, and they help guide us in making decisions and how we live our lives. Values are a part of our everyday life and in the workplace. Values are intangible things that are important to us, and that guide us, individually, to make decisions. Each person has a different set of values, morals, and ethics, which is the reason that each person handles a situation differently. Here, I will discuss my top 5 values, and why they are important to me.
My core values consist of the following: accomplishment, benevolent, determined, gallant, helpful, merciful, opportunity, optimistic, perseverance and vigorous.
