The 10-part mini series ‘Fargo’ is a Crime thriller based on a true story. It follows a series of murders that happen in the cold Minnesota; however, these murders somehow always have a link back to Fargo, ND.
Following a successive first season, the series has continued with a fresh story line and a second season, with speculation that a third season is on the horizon.
I will be exploring and analysing how multi-platform, genre, performance and narrative contribute to the appeal of Fargo to its target audience.

The term narrative could be defined as a chain of events that help craft a story.

We discussed how the narrative contributes to the series and how Todorovs theory fits relatively with the first season of Fargo, however we also discussed an alternative view on Todorovs theory and how the audience may think that the theory is out-dated and does not fit the style of this series. In terms of the style and the genre that this series is based on, we discussed how Fargo has leaped forward in order to keep the audience interested by adding humour to the crime and thrill aspect of the series, ensuring for a boredom free viewing for the …show more content…
