I am interested in attending the Future Agent in Training program because when I was about 8 or 9 I realized I was really interested in becoming an FBI Agent. I started watching television shows such as Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU, and Without a Trace and I couldn't get enough of it. I would spend all day watching those shows because of how fascinating and interesting it was to me. When I reached my freshman year in high school, I tried to get into criminal justice and add it to my electives, but unfortunately my counselor told me that criminal justice wasn't open to freshmen students, so when time came to start selecting courses for my sophomore year, I asked my counselor again and this time she said I could and I immediately signed …show more content…
I know how it feels to not have justice given or not get the help you deserve. I hope that doing this training will give me a jumpstart on pursuing my career and that it’ll help my resume in the future. I am really interested in learning what an FBI’s job is and how they have to do their job and what duties they have to perform to be able to make this world a safer place. I hope that I can learn about the different scholarships available to kids like me that wish to further their education in the area of Law Enforcement. My dream is to get into a good college that will lead me to the right path of pursuing my dream. I want to prove to myself that I have what it takes to become an FBI agent and show myself that I have the qualities needed to become an FBI agent. After college I am going to the police academy so that I can work for Pearland Police Department. There is at least three reason why I want to work for Pearland PD. Finally, the department provide the best training program.
Not only might this program ignite an interest in me pursuing an engineering field in the Army or Navy but would also give me a foundation to build off if I do decide to pursue a profession there. Once I graduate from college I plan to pursue a job that would allow me to gain experience while also giving me the opportunity to continue exploring my career path. After I gather some more experience from my job, I hope to open my own business, specializing in my chosen engineering discipline. The experience and knowledge that I can gain from this program will be valuable in every step of attaining my career
If you plan to live, work, or study in another country legally, you need to receive a resident, work, or student visa. One requirement of the visa process is a statement from your government that you are not a habitual or wanted criminal. In the United States, this is accomplished by obtaining an FBI Criminal Background Check, also known as a Criminal History Summary. You can download the required fingerprint cards and forms from the FBI website. Once completed by the FBI, the forms are good for six months.
Ever since I was a young child the FBI has peaked my interests. The FBI Teen Academy will give me the opportunity to see what the FBI is like. I like to set goals and one of the goals I have is pursuing a career in the FBI. I want to be part of something that has a greater cause. The FBI Teen Academy will show me an overview of how the FBI functions.
I am interested in becoming a member of FLOC because I know I have the potential to succeed as a leader at University of Texas at Arlington. My skills as a speaker and a guide make leadership something I can utilize to inspire those who follow me.
I want a career at NSA because at the NSA I will be able to use the skills that I have gained throughout my life to best protect and defend my country. Since around my freshman year of highschool I have felt a calling to serve my country, this calling urged me to explore the military and other public service careers. However, I felt my skills of technology and engineering were not quite what the military was looking for. So I explored further and found the NSA, an agency, part of the Department of Defense, that could allow me to use my skills to best serve my country. The Stokes Educational Scholarship Program would be most beneficial to me and the United States because it will allow me to build further on the skills I know now through a college education, summer internships, and finally a guaranteed employment for my country.
Adults and peers have described me as dependable, fair, honest, trustworthy, intelligent, empathetic, respectful, and friendly and I do my best to live by these characteristics. One of my main mottos is to treat others the way you want to be treated. I am by no means a perfect person and I try to accept help and criticism whenever it is offered in an effort to keep improving upon my character. I am a reliable student, sister, daughter, and friend. I believe I would learn a lot from being a member of this program because being surrounded by peers with similar moral and academic character would allow me to do even more to make my community a better place. This would be a perfect opportunity to benefit from any experiences this program has to offer me and make a positive impact on my school and
Seven students with majors ranging from criminology and homeland security to marketing attended this event to learn about career opportunities with ATF.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is a federally-funded agency that was founded in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. The FBI, formerly know as the Bureau of Investigation (1909-1935) recruited men with previous law enforcement experience to become a part of this exclusive team that aimed to solve law violations such as bankruptcy, naturalization, antitrust, peonage, and land fraud. The Mann Act of 1910, which made transporting women over state lines for “immoral” purposes a crime, led to the first major expansion of jurisdiction for the bureau. During WWI, the FBI took over the responsibility for the Espionage, Selective Service and Sabotage Acts. With it’s head quarters in Washington, D.C., the FBI today has over 56 field offices throughout the United States and Puerto Rico and an estimated 35,000 working agents.
Ever since I was in the 6th Grade, I have always wanted to attend the USMA. I did not have a specific reason “why” back then, all I knew was that I wanted to wear the Full Dress Gray on the brochure I saw lying on the kitchen table one day. Then came high school, where I decided to attend the Explorers Police Academy.
The mission and values of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is up held with strong Constitutional values. Over the years since the FBI was created in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt. As a progressive during this time period Bonaparte applied his philosophy to forming the FBI with several corps of agents. His thought was that these men should have expertise and not political connections. With the U.S. Constitution based on “federalism” a national government with jurisdiction over matters that cross boundaries, such as interstate and foreign affairs.
This field allows hands on interaction with all different situations and come across different people. I pride myself in being one of the few American-Indians interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. I have done research on Rutgers, and it makes me content to know that Rutgers offers such programs that allow transfer students like me to relocate at ease. Also, I have learned that Rutgers is both energetic and prominent not only to the fabric of the nation, but worldwide as well. Due to the selection of courses and to the diversity of the student body and faculty, I know that I will be vastly enriched culturally, socially and educationally. I look forward to face the new challenges in my life after graduating Hudson County Community College to university and becoming a student at this highly accredited
For my career I chose to do FBI field agent. I want to do this because I always wanted to do something with the government. My mom worked with the government and got to meet tons of celebrities. My brother-in-law is in special forces and told me some things he did that I think is interesting.
Freshman year, through the GT program I researched multiple careers of criminal justice, forensic and law enforcement backgrounds. I tried glancing for careers that would include traveling, but yet protecting people from danger, one in particular stood out to me becoming a federal agent or detective. Willing to risk my life to save countless others, but also trying to make the nation or community a better living environment for the future. I researched for more information, considering what colleges had great criminal justices programs, what classes help with understanding the major, what would be my second major and especially what would stand out in an application.
My main focus for making this program is to become part of law enforcement and help protect the people that I will serve. I think I am fit for this program because I am athletic, intelligent, and outgoing. I always try to make the right decision and look out for my fellow peers. My father is apart of law enforcement and I look up to what he does which peaked my interest into law enforcement. As I watch a cop car go by I always imagined what it would be like to be that officer. Every year, my family and I go to the National Night Out when my town hosts it and our neighboring town, Manalapan. They have all types of law enforcement, DEA, K-9 unit, sheriffs, and police officers that participate and demonstrate what it would be like to be one of
