It has been less than a year since my last suicide attempt. Applying to the Drake Davis Scholarship is important to me because of how suicide has affected my life. I am determined to use the money I earn from this scholarship and others to receive an education that will enable me to spread suicide awareness. In the future I plan to become a high school teacher or a professor. It is in high school and college that most young adults experience depression.
