“Sometimes life can feel like an obstacle course, but if we try hard enough, we can usually make it over the hurdles.” This quote, written by Pearson, means that in life we will face difficult challenges if we try hard enough we can overcome them. When I read this quote a question popped in my mind, “How do we overcome obstacles?” I thought about it and I think we overcome obstacles by looking at what options we have to solve the obstacle and we choose the best one.
An example of looking at our options to solve a downfall is in an article titled “Against the odds”, by Pearson is an Informative text about a US Airways pilot facing an obstacle. When he was on a flight to North Carolina from New York a flock of geese struck the plane. After a loud explosion both engines were disabled. The pilot discussed what options he had. The pilot could either turn back to New york, land in New Jersey, or land in the Hudson River. He thought that landing the plane in the Hudson River was the best option so he went for it, against the odds he landed it safely. This article is a good example of overcoming obstacles because the pilot looked at the options he had to solve the situation and choose the best one. “The Grapes of Wrath”by John Steinbeck, is about farming families who had to move because of a severe drought that caused massive dust storms. On page 459, paragraph 9 it states, “Maybe we can start again in the new rich land-in California, where the fruit grows.” This shows that they

Everyone has different aspects of life that come with multiple obstacles. As many think they aren’t able to overcome and moving fourth, believing they will fall apart and behind everyone else. Most of mankind has experience some type of obstacles and we all have a wide arrangement on how to cope and overcome. The truth is, we only see challenges and obstacles when we take our eyes off the goal. Every goal has a challenges but once we overcome the world becomes bigger.
Imagine having the perfect life- you get into all honors classes, you get straight A’s, you are the first chair in the orchestra, you get into the A Cappella choir, you are on the varsity volleyball team, President of the Student Council, and you have a perfect home life. You have never had to face a single obstacle throughout your journey in life. When your whole life is like this, you do not know what failure feels like and will never experience the need to rise up after a downfall. There are many types of journeys one can take in life and dealing with obstacles has a prodigious impact on the outcome. The obstacles and hindrances are the things that shape us as we experience the ups and downs in life.
No one has really did through what i have been through other if they did they had a different solution but it fits for me because it was a big obstacle in my life.I wanted to have a better life for me and my brother I was tired of taking care of everybody but myself the definition in the dictionary is a thing that blocks one's way or prevents or hinders progress. And it was true i was letting everybody else hold me down i was no longer a innocent little girl i felt like i was a mom i took care of so many kids when i was a kid myself. It was a huge obstacle in my life letting go of the hurt i felt because i didn’t have a childhood i was suppose to have but i learned to forgive those mistakes that i had to suffer from and now i can move on with

Throughout everyone's lifetime, one will confront an obstacle. Obstacles can obstruct or hinder one’s process. Most of the time obstacles have a negative a affect on people because of how difficult they can be. Not making a team, loss of a loved one, loss of a job are some examples of common obstacles that occur to many people. Obstacles are barriers that block people from pursuing what they want to do. Time management is an on-going challenge that is important for my overall sucess. I currently work a full time job that requres many hours of travel. Gradaute work requires many dedicated hours of study time. Maintaining a healthy lifesytle is important for my overall well being. One challenge that I must overcome is maintaining enough sleep. One goal that I am working on to impove my sleep hygeine is to go to bed at the same time everynight and disconnect from social devices in my bedroom. Another goal is scheduling most of my work for completion before noon, when I am most alert.
The human race is faced with obstacles daily, it's how we handle the situation that determines the outcome. The many obstacles we face such as a teen pregnancy, losing a friend, and getting laid off can be hard to see the good outcomes for such horrid obstacles but in the end, the outcomes that were thrown your way may have been the best thing that's ever happened.
From personal experience, any obstacle or disadvantage can be used for something good. When I was a high school senior, I broke my wrist playing basketball right before state playoffs. It devastated me and my team. For a sports enthusiast like me, this injury was a major setback. Through this experience, I became a better team captain by raising moral from the bench dispite not being able to play. Life will always come with obstacles but we must determine whether we want to use the obstacles to fuel greatness or disappointments. This paper will discuss people throughout history that have used their personal struggles and setbacks to achieve something great.
My goals are to pass all my classes of at least a 3.5 GPA, study at least 2 hours a day, and to show up to class everyday as possible. I think the biggest barrier is time and the reasoning for that is because you have to make a schedule of when you’re going to study and when to go to bed, so you’ll wake up on time to class. My biggest challenge is procrastination. This is true because I say I’m going to work on it the next day, but I usually don’t and I wait to the last-minute. I assume that I always have the time to work on it later, but end up doing it the day before the assignment is due. My biggest strength is paying attention and writing notes. I say this because I was always taught by my parents, if you pay attention and write notes,
In my life I have faced many obstacles. There has been times when I was unsure about how I was going to handle a situation and how I was going to move on from it. Although some obstacles may be abominable, I am a firm believer of "everything happens for a reason". If God brings you to it, he will help you get through it.
My obstacle that i had to overcome proves many things about my def of an obstacle which is ‘‘An obstacle is something that you have to overcome in your life.’’ Having to deal with an obstacle like mine which is having to move to a different city is really something that is a thing you have to overcom in life. I had to make new friend, meet new people, and pretty much have to start miy life all over again because i wont know anything about the city i would be moving to. Having to start over in your life is a big obstacle to overcome and it made my life very hard until i met one of my best friends that i will talk abou later in my story. My def of an obstacle will soon be proven when you read the rest of my life story.
Everyone faces challenges and complications in their life but i strongly feel what is important is what you learn from that obstacle. Throughout my junior year i was dealing with a situation that lead to events that i never thought would happen to me. My mother, father, sisters, and i have been going through some challenges that caused my family to split. It began when my parents divorced and my mother met someone who didn't respect me nor my sisters. I couldn't explain how difficult it was to listen to the negativity that went on in that house. Its hard to wake up and smile knowing you're not welcomed in your own house. My mother agreed with everything he said and he was clearly the king and we had to bow down to him. Eventually i ended up
Obstacles are imperative for feeling successful because they allow recognition of one’s weaknesses and teach one to overcome them. Furthermore, there is no such thing as success when there isn’t anything preventing it: how can I feel achieved if I have not ameliorated anything? According to Winston Churchill, "Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm." In saying that, Churchill implies that one must go through failure before they reach success. Failure is when obstacles prevent a goal from being reached, which is the end result of having a weakness. When these flaws are analyzed, taken action against, and overcame; that is true success.
I don’t know how to start this, but I believe that everyone in life at least goes through one sort of form of an obstacle. An obstacle I face in life right now would have to be the fact that my grandma is working her butt off just so she can keep her family alive. The only reason why this bothers me is because I can’t do anything about it. Like I want to help by working, but I’m only 14 and still have two more years until I can get a part time job. Since, I’ve been a little kid, I always admired my grandma. She was my role model. She taught me that in life nothing is easy and that you have to work very hard for the things you want in life. She left her family just so my mom and I would have a better life than she did. I know this is how
