Music Biography
In this music biography, I would like to divide my life into four phases. The four phases are the 5-year cycle of my life, which are 1 to 5 years old, 6 to 10 years old, 12 to 15 years old and 16 to 20 years old. I would like to use music or songs that are similar to the feelings and experiences of those phases to represent my life.

I do not have many memory during the first five years of my life. In fact, even I say that something happened during this phase of my life, I am not sure if I had confused my memory with other experience I had when I am older, or some scenes that I saw in television

The lyrics mainly describe a group of young children playing hopscotch, reading books and learning how to write. They are all scenes of happiness and freedom that I believe must had happened many times when I was young. There is also a video on YouTube that shows quite precisely of the meaning of this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKzVBcWmXuU. The tempo is quite fast, also there are subdivision of pulse, which makes me feel energetic. This song is quite suitable for children to sing because the melodic range is narrow and the progression is rather stepwise. As a result, I believe this song would be the best representation of my life during the first …show more content…
The song “Mama I Love you” is also the theme song of a movie, The Unwritten Law. Unexpectedly, although the song title is “Mama I Love You”, it was not sung by a son or daughter, instead it was sung by a mother figure. The lyrics of this song all touches my heart deeply. My favorite lyrics is, “you don’t have to feel burdened to repay (for my love), just say Ma Ma I Love You”(無須負重任 催逼一生答謝只須講 Ma Ma I Love You). This line might seem to be a cliché, but it really works for me. When I listen to this song, it reminds me of how my mother, and father, love me, it support me to fight against stress and other bad emotions. Apart from the verbal meanings, the dynamic of this song is soft at the beginning, but when it comes to the chorus, which is the part of my favorite lyrics, it becomes stronger. I think it suit very well with my perception of maternal love, at first, it was like a mother treating her baby, and even how the baby has grown up to be an adult, the feelings of being loved and concerned by mother bring sense of security and stability. When it comes to the chorus, the dynamic and the singer’s volume turn louder, as if the emotion and the love from mother become
Is a mothers conditional love ever fully appreciated? The song “Dear Mama” by Tupac and the poem “Mother To Son” by Langston Hughes both proclaim how growing up, people don not fully appreciate their mothers. They do not acknowledge what they went through to raise them and give them the necessities of life. These two pieces express how you have to be at your worse to cherish the best.
Relationship affects how you feel about yourself and how you deal with things that happen. A positive relationship with children are more likely to make them feel happy and satisfying while, a negative relationship with children impact them with fear, anger and sadness. Though “Parents' Day” by Sharon Olds focuses on the admirable side of the parents and “Say You Love Me” by Molly Peacock focuses on the miserable, awful side of the parents, both poems uses imagery, figurative language (simile) and tone to bring richness and clarity to their texts.
The song is about a grandchild asking his grandfather about some old black and white photographs he found from back when his grandfather was a child, also from when his grandfather was in World War II, and when his grandfather married
Poems like these are still written in today’s society but are expressed through different mediums than the poetry of old. While this song was originally released in 1928, it didn’t gain popularity until 1939. In today’s society, poems are found more often in music than in a book, although those are common too. Song’s in today’s society often rhyme or tell a story and can be analyzed just as poetry
“There are a number of different lyrics used in songs that have been derived from poetry” (Kumar). Poetry is an older form of art and song lyrics have evolved from the art. However, it is a great debacle over which one can be considered the higher art form. The underlying question is if song lyrics have evolved past poetry, or has poetry remained artistic and intellectual. Despite bearing some superficial similarities, the differences between “To a Daughter Leaving Home” and “Never Grow Up” in imagery, message, and point of view are prevalent causing poetry to be considered a higher form of art.
This song goes to capture the love and can be relatable to other couples. Both artists wove their crazy love together to create this work of art that is currently at number two on iTunes top Hip Hop chart. “Mama Always Told Me” and “No Less” describe true love and fresh compromises for romance bring a more uplifting feel on the album. Then, the plot twist with his song “Fly Away” goes further to reflect on a breakup leading to his substance abuse with a much more darker feeling.
The struggles of a single mother is not something everyone will fully understand. In the late 90’s there was huge poverty and gang violence in Los Angeles, California where Tupac grew up. Many of his songs reflect on how his experience was in this environment. In Tupac Shakur’s song, “Dear Mama” found in album, Me Against the World, for a single mother to show love for her child takes a huge struggle, especially when it was a time where gang violence was really high and fathers would leave their children. Throughout the song Tupac uses imagery to capture the feeling of pain and struggle and fluently illustrate the moments where he was young, until he grew up and realized the love his mother gave him. “Dear Mama” is also portrayed as a
My story has a meaningful story behind it. The story is deep for me and even for the artist and probably for many other people. Hearing songs like this can inspire you. It inspired me to be thankful for the people in my life. One day they can be here the next they could be gone. You never know what’s going on in their lives.
This song represents the talents that i have and what I have that we call determination. the song is fun and addicting for the whole family and more. Talent is tricky subject to get into, because this can go into many categories. I don't have many talents, but i get by and get the job done. In oak hill high school i was a silent and did not interact with anyone during class and man did i have bad acne. That's in the past and I grew confidence and i'm a manager at kfc. So things are not bad as their were back in the day when i was young and free. That's not the subject at hand, talents are really helpful and can entertain for years to come. Having no talent would make a person into that business guy that nobody likes. I mean nobody wants to be left out (except emos). The artist artist 009 sound system can be a good contender on what a person wants to be when the grow up and goto college” You can do anything you want to” that phrase helps represents the talent of adapting which I found out to be the most helpful to me. anyways talent can be a major part of like and should be taken seriously one day that talent can get that job the everyone else
So why would the band choose to illustrate such a serious stage of personal development with the nursery rhyme-like style of the song's chorus? Before we get to that, the song's emotional and psychological message must first be examined.
Love You Forever is a classic heart-warming story by Robert Munsch built around a simple, but eternally meaningful commitment from a mother to a child to love him forever. Robert Munsch has become a world-renowned author of children’s books for his unique use of exaggerated expressions that produce sounds that are very appealing and fun for children. In Love You Forever Munsch uses words like “crazy” and “zoo” to add the effect of comedy but the overall theme of the story strikes chords that are much deeper than exaggerated expressions (Munsch np). Robert Munsch started Love you Forever as a song: “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll
The three simple words “I love you,” are words which we all need to hear. These words are magical words, but yet they are hard to say and often hard to receive. A lot of this goes back to the family. When a baby isn’t properly nurtured and loved, he/she is more than likely to grow up struggling to give or receive love. We must make sure that these three magical words are said and expressed within
“Tiwnkle Little Star” by Jane Talyor describes my Pre School years. I heard this alot during Pre School because my teacher played it and we sing along with the tune. This song used to stay in my head because it was a catchy song. Also as a kid almost every one knew this song when they were younger. A lyric from the song is “Twinkle twinkle, little star,How I wonder what you are.” Therefore, whenever I hear this song it brings me back to my early ages of school.
generation has songs that are popular to them and that they will never forget the lyrics to.
This very slow song, so in my opinion I think it reinforces a sense of bittersweet, because even though she mentions how she wants to be remembered for the good things that she did she also mentions death and regrets in her song.
