Do you think that we can use a spaceship for deep space and time travel using dark matter as fuel and wormholes as gateways? Travelling through space-time is not so much a thing of sci-fi. In theory, wormholes are tunnel-like connections made out of space-time, offering a shorter distance between two vastly separated areas of the universe. The idea is that space travelers can use these tunnels to make long space travels that would usually take thousands to tens of thousands of years and make the distance in minuets faster than the speed of light. According to my research in a few years, we will be able to travel through space and time with wormholes and dark matter because Scientists have already created a small wormhole in a lab and have …show more content…
And I am not the only one who believes this is possible. Kip Thorne from the California Institute of Technology has asked questions and made theories about using wormholes as time machines. In theory it’s all about speed, when your moving faster than the speed of light, time slows down. So if you enter a wormhole, go for a trip for 12 hours, when you come you will be ten years in the future everyone you know and see will be ten years older than they were a couple of hours ago. Which is what Kip Thorne has proposed. But keeping a wormhole stable would need something called exotic matter. Exotic matter would act as a scaffolding preventing collapse of the wormhole, however, we have not yet found something like that; we know its there. Dark matter can also Help us cover great distances in space, Dark matter is the most mysterious thing known to man. Dark Matter. Dark matter is the exact opposite of regular matter. It can be used in many thing including spaceships and deep space travel. But to do this, we must know more about this mysterious dark matter. But how can we do this when it’s so illusive? We duplicate it in a lab, in a particle
Astronomers believe there is enough dark matter in the universe to slow its expansion gradually toward a stop.
Scientists assume that dark matter is real. Gravitational theory requires dark matter to explain why our universe looks the way it does. Without dark matter in the galaxies, the circular force of the galaxies would push stars out of their orbits and off into space. Scientists also assume dark matter is plentiful. Scientists theorize that there should be five or six times more dark matter than the matter we now detect. Scientists also theorize that dark matter must be made up of particles that obey all or some of the known laws of physics.
When discussing ideas like travelling through space time one must maintain an understanding of how the causal chain functions. The causal chain is a series of
In my book, “The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” by Douglas Adams, if I could meet any character I would want to meet is Trillian. I would ask her how she has not gone insane yet, dealing with Zaphod Beeblebrox. She puts up with him often because he is basically insane and they are dating. Zaphod is the President of the Galaxy. They see the sights of the universe together in the Heart of Gold, their spaceship that Zaphod stole. I would ask Trillian how she puts up with him and everything in the universe. She sees many things and they are all beautiful and wonderful. Trillian is a curious person and I wish that everyone had that curious nature because as most say, “Curiosity killed the cat,” but I know that, “Satisfaction brought
The Hubble helped scientists to discover that dark matter is the key to why galaxies are moving away from each other (Space.com
Eureka! The year is 2050, and we have finally made a breakthrough. For years, we have studied the properties of this discovery, and for almost four decades, its existence has been denied by almost all scientists, but my team has relentlessly continued the search. My team, the SpaceX2451, has discovered something that will change the future of mankind. No, really, our discovery will actually change the future of mankind.
They did it! They finally did it! The wormhole was open and it was stable. The scientists had seconds to celebrate before a figure fell through the wormhole to the floor of the room. They all leaned over the control pad to look through the bulletproof glass. The figure tried to move, but fell back to the floor.
No school in the country gets more research funding than Johns Hopkins, and as a result no other university would be able to provide me with as many incredible research opportunities. Although I am excited by the opportunity to learn new and fascinating information inside the classrooms of Johns Hopkins, my true passion lies in doing research during college. I have always been intrigued by mystifying concepts such as general relativity, dark matter, and black holes. The learning atmosphere at Johns Hopkins University will encourage me to pursue these mysterious subjects by working on research with the brilliant minds of professors and other
Isaiah Akwitti recently traveled to ancient Ghana 10 seconds ago and came back five seconds ago and he told me his story, and Professor Colby Brooks told me the science.
Using analyzation from the move Interstellar an easy assumption to make is, the personality type someone is, is likely to dictate their moral values. For example, Cooper prioritizing time over fuel in hopes of seeing his family again and in doing so he was willing to risk the concequences that having less fuel might make, ie the end of the movie where he essentially sacraficed himself. This shows that he is an emotionally motivated person, as a father and a member of the current human race, although he makes strong connections and emotionally driven decisions he still an outgoing and funloving orange evidence of the opening banter between himself and Dr.Brand about conversation and when to do it. Another good example of a character's priorizing giving away their personality traits, is Dr. Mann's decision to kill Cooper. The decision to kill Cooper was highly premeditated and on the way to his death Mann asked about his life and children, knowing what Cooper had to lose did not deter him from the choice to take his life because of a bigger more logical underlying plan.
The particles include photinos, neutrinos, gravitinos, axions, and magnetic monopoles, among many others. Of these, researchers have detected only neutrinos -- and whether neutrinos have any mass remains unknown. Experiments are under way to detect other exotic particles. If they exist, and if one has a mass in the correct range, then that particle might pervade the universe and constitute dark matter.
Little is known about the mysterious force called dark matter and dark energy. The information that is known about dark energy, is that it is causing a more accelerated expansion of the universe. This is why dark energy is so fascinating, because it makes up seventy five percent of the universe, yet we don't even know that much about it.
Astronomers are still in the hunt of the Dark energy and dark matter but they haven’t found none. They are undetectable which makes it
Besides time travel theories on physic and philosophical, there are also paradox theories about time travel. One paradox theory is the grandfather paradox. The grandfather paradox means that if someone can go back in time and
Throughout the ages, outstanding physicists, to the movies, to some of the greatest science fiction novels of all time, have pondered the idea of time-travel. The thought of actually being able to travel to another time or universe has long since enthralled, enveloped, and overwhelmed some of the greatest minds in the history of physics. No one person can actually prove any of their theories, but a few actually make sense. Meaning that they do not violate the laws of physics. One of the main theories suggested, are wormholes. Wormholes are considered to connect two regions of flat space-time, two universes, or two parts of the same universe. There is a lot of theoretical evidence that wormholes exist, with an equal amount of
