King Tut was found by Howard Carter in 1922. Carter was an archeologist who spent decades to find King Tut. Once the discovery of King Tut comes out, people all over the world were intensely enthusiastic about him. Even today, many people are still interested in him, his popularity does not fade. People still talk, write essays or research articles about him. Although there are many other mummies, King tut is the most fascinating. In fact, I believe that the discovery by Howard Carter in 1922 is the most significant archeological find ever!
The sheer number of objects found in the tomb make the find significant. In the tomb, Howard Carter found more 3000 separate objects. From the numbers we can figure out it was a huge tomb. Astonishedly, many of them were pure gold this reveal the time when King Tut died Egypt was rich. Howard Carter even spent 10 years cataloguing and cleaning the items in tomb. The content in the tomb were a broad range of sizes, from the bigger items such as boat, to the smaller items such as games, it was all in the tomb. For example, the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood was originally planned to be built in the Spanish Mission style, however, the news of King Tut came out all over the world. The architects stopped the construction and they changed the style to Egyptian. It is an amazing and funny building in Hollywood. Also, mummy movies became popular and people started to get crazy for mummy movies. The Wife of the Pharaoh was one of the mummy movies popular in 1922. Jewelry had also been affected by King Tut, the style of jewelry changed to Egyptian. In the 1970s, a pop song about King Tut suddenly came out called King Tut. It was sung by comedian Steve Martin, this song was a big hit during 1978. In addition, it reached top 17 in Billboard Hot
