1. Name of individual, where are they from, where do they currently live. (2-3 sentences) Edgar Morales, also known as Ricardo Arjona, was born on January 19, 1964 in Jocotenango, Guatemala. When he was three years old his family moved to Guatemala City, where he lived during the remainder of his childhood (“Ricardo Arjona Biography” 2016). Arjona currently lives in Mexico and has since the 1990’s (Quintana, 2017)
2. What was their childhood like (2-3 sentences). Arjonas’ father gave him a guitar at an early age because could tell that his son had a passion for music. When he was eight years old, he was fully able to play the guitar (Quintana, 2017). Arjona began school in a Catholic school, and then moved towards a military type school (Artist Direct, 2017). He attended the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, where he earned a degree in communications (Quintana, 2017). After he graduated college, he became a rural schoolteacher then, went on to basketball for the Guatemalan national team (Bush, 2017). Why are they famous? What are some of the significant things this person did (3-4 sentences) Ricardo Arjona is a famous Latino artist who has sold more than 20 million albums(Herring,2013). When he was 21 years old, he came out with his first album, Dejame Decir Que Te Amo. The album was not a success for him, feeling discouraged, he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina then later moved back to Guatemala where he was a schoolteacher for five years (Quintana, 2017). Jesus Verbo No Sustantivo, was a song that Arjona wrote about his Catholic upbringing, the song brought controversy, but it gained him a contract with Sony Records ((Bush, 2017). In 2000 he produced a record called Galería Caribe, which became his first ever number one album on the Top Latinos Hit Chart and in 2002 he received his first Latin Grammy with the album Santo Pecado ((Bush,
