The movie has some very positive attributes, starting with the island itself, it is very luscious and tropical, which when reading the novel is exactly what you envision. The director picked very good points in the movie to have sped up and slowed down, which added to the dramatic and thriller effect of the turning points and the climax of the movie. The movie really emphasizes the main characteristics of characters, with Ralph portraying the “good” character, and Jack portraying the “bad” character. The sound effects and the soundtrack is exceptional, and really captures the mood during all scenes in the movie. The special effects, props, and character’s material visuals were very well done. The Maze Runner begins with a young boy, Thomas, starting his new life in an elevator. Thomas has no memory of his life prior to this moment. In his mind he could see things, and he knew things, but he did not know where he was, or where he came from. His life was a mystery. When the elevator doors finally open, Thomas finds himself standing in a glade surrounded by walls. There are several other boys, who like Thomas, do not know where they came from. All the young boys knew were what their names were. These boys, who have no memory of their lives prior to entering the Glade, pull Thomas into the Glade. Thomas quickly discovers that the Glade is like a farm. The farm is run by Alby and Newt. Alby and Newt are two boys who control everything and everyone in the Glade. They force all the boys to do farm work while at the Glade. Alby and Newt are very mean to the boys, and force all of the boys to adhere to a strict set of rules. The Maze Runner by James Dashner is a young adult/ science fiction book which takes place in a maze known as the Glade. Some of the most important characters include Minho and Thomas. Minho is one of the most interesting characters in the book. He was the leader of the boys, called Gladers, and one of the wisest characters in my opinion. Thomas is the main character of the story. Despite his memory loss, he helps guide the Gladers out of the maze they have been placed in. His strong efforts to save the Gladers and do what’s right has earned him the respect and trust to become a leader.

Overall I found the movie to be quite interesting and exciting at times but a bit slow in others. The story itself was very clear to me and didn’t cause any confusion. It had a good flow also, just as you were on the verge of falling into boredom with a scene they switched it up on you to keep you

Over time though, he begins to accept where he is (the Glade) and that the people in the Glade have nothing but each other. Thomas also adapts to the Glade’s slang, and talks like a Glader. At the end Thomas became a sort of leader, trying to make the best decisions when the rest of the Gladers didn’t know what to do. Thomas is the narrator and protagonist of the story. He arrives in the maze with no knowledge of who he is or was. He only remembers his name and nothing else about his life. Thomas proves to be brave and clever even though he only has a very limited memory of previous knowledge of the Maze. Since arriving in the maze, Thomas makes both friends and enemies and proves to be a leader among the other boys with him in the maze.

The famous book The Maze Runner by James Smith Dashner, is the famous story about a young man named Thomas who wakes up in the middle of a metallic box that serves as an elevator with no memory of his past, the box opens up to a place called “the Glade” with 60 other boys staring back at him as he tries to run away pass them. Every thirty days a new boy or supplies arrive from the box and for three years they have lived together trying to find clues through the maze that surrounds them; but as they start losing hope it all changes when something unprecedented happens and a girl along with a note arrive through the box. The book along with amazing imagery and relevance to today’s world manages to attract more than just teenagers but anybody that is up for the challenge of the maze, and that is just the purpose of this paper to demonstrate multiple reason of why this book not only deserves to be read but it should hold a place in the literary canon.

The title The Death Cure, seems almost oxymoronic, falsely true. From the first book, The Maze Runner, it seems like WICKED is desperately searching for a cure that could possibly prevent the extinction of the human race from the Flare. Mainly, The Death Cure is focusing on the cure to the disease. But as we read on, it seems like there was never a cure, but death. The cure looks like it could be letting everyone who has been infected, die while the immunes get to start over. WICKED should have been searching for a way to stop the spread of the disease instead of finding a cure for death, which has been their main problem.

“The Maze Runner” is a book that was written by James Dashner, he made a series about it. His book was the bestselling book in New York Times, so they made a movie about it. The book was mostly about young men were put in a maze, due to a disease that was attacking the people outside it. They had to escape the Maze. Thomas was the guy who figured out the code to get out of the Maze. The book was amazing to read, and the movie was wonderful to watch. However, there will always be differences and similarities between the movie and the book.

The Maze Runner, directed by Wes Ball in 2014 is Science Fiction action film. It follows the journey of a band of teenage boys trapped in a glade surrounded by a seemingly endless maze. As we meet each character, their power status is conveyed through film techniques such as camera angles and colour as well as through their personality. This is especially shown through the characters Thomas and Gally as they often clash in both their power struggle and curious verses security beliefs.
