A dugong is a mammal weighing up to 600kg and can be 3m in length when fully grown. They do not have feathers like a bird to keep them warm they have a thick layer of blubber underneath their wrinkly grey skin to keep them warm when they are cold. To push through the water Dugongs use their tails, but use their flippers to balance and steer. To spot them in small groups you will be lucky, but spotting them in herds of hundreds or small groups are not rare at all, although they are not usually found with their own children. It is rare to live up to 70 years but in some cases that can happen, I am saying it is rare because the food supplies is limited now. The shape of their body makes them look slow but if they need dugongs can speed up 15 miles
At the beginning of seventh grade, I would always joke around that I would do wrestling, like with all the other guys. Later on that year when wrestling season was starting I decided to sign up. I didn’t know what being in wrestling was going to be like because it would be like nothing I’ve ever done before.

The leader of tribes name is Thayendangea also known as Joseph Brant, he made the rules. The Mohawk’s had to fight their neighboring tribes for their dominance of the beaver fur trade, and they won. They did not really have a good relationship with other tribes. Overall the Mohawk tribe was warlike, they
The Hmong Culture is very interesting. Approximately 25,000 Hmong reside in Fresno, California. In the Hmong culture the men must pay a price for their wives. Usually the price for a bride often ranges from $3,000 to $10,000. Traditionally, the groom’s side of the family must go to the bride’s home and ask her parents for permission to be wed. After both sides reach an agreement, then the next day a feast is held to celebrate their engagement.
I believe that the Makah Indians should be granted the wavier to continue to hunt whales. Particularly, since the U.S Government signed the Neah Bay Treaty in 1855 with the Makah people, stating that it was OK for the Makah Indians to continue to hunt for fish, seals, whales, in exchange for 500 acre of their ancestral land. I feel it is only fair for the U.S government to keep their word and continue to let them hunt. In addition, the Gray Whale population has risen tremendously since 1926 and hunting 5 whales per year will not cause anymore damage. It is also very apparent that the Makah people care about the whales and don't view them as just an animal to kill because they volunteered to momentarily end their whale hunting in order to save the species when the whale species nearly went extinct. In conclusion, no part of the whale is wasted, the Makah people find uses for all parts of the whale.

There is a tribe of humans called Nawoi. They are located next to a river that they have named after themselves. They are truly a small tribe but are able to attract large populations of humans who have just passed into adulthood. These young adults will tend to migrate to the tribe in August and return their origins in May. This would suggest that they are hibernating in this area, but that is not the main purpose for the large migration of these people. They migrate to be taught by gurus of the subject of their choice.

The Hmong people are a people of diaspora and are an ethnic minority group who, have been a group of people who were basically unknown up until three decades ago. They are of unknown origin and are often misplaced from country to country and often have to assume many different hyphenated identities to fit in with the mainstream culture. As Hmong Americans they have gone from being unable to read and write to being educated; which has led to Hmong writers, congressmen and women, to scholars, and to many other respectable occupations. Though, before being able to become a writer or a scholar, a Hmong American student is often troubled and stressed about their ethnic identity and that can lead to struggles in their academics. This topic is important to me because being a Hmong American and a college student; these two aspects of life are playing a big role in my life right now. Through my paper there is one question that I am hoping to answer and the question is: How does having a hyphenated identity affect Hmong American students in their academics?
The film Sleepy Hollow directed by Tim Burton, centres around a detective who is sent from the city to a small country town to investigate a series of bizarre murders. While he is in town he has to deal with love, past issues and also discover why the horseman has returned from the dead to kill townspeople. The story is based around the battle of good and evil with Ichabod Crane being good as he believes in finding the truth in everything and the Horseman being evil personified as he will not stop killing. Burton displays the constant battle between good and evil throughout the film through the characterization of Ichabod Crane and the Hessian. Burton also uses settings to show what each thing represents like the forest is the gateway to hell
As a young kid, I grew up knowing about my ancestry on my dad’s side of the family. I had always known that I had some family that was Native American. But as I grew up, I would tell my friends about the Tribe I am apart of, but hardly anybody believe me because I didn’t look like a Native American. Later, when I was older, people would ask if I lived in a Teepee or on a reservation. I always felt that it was fair to make assumptions like this or to not believe me when I said I was Native American even though I don’t look it.
As Christians, it is important to look into the history of the church to examine what the forefathers of the faith have been through in order to bring the Christian religion to where it is today. It is also important to see how the faith has developed over time and how doctrine was written and rewritten. One of the figures that have had an impact on the modern day Christian tradition is Athanasius.
