The purpose of this speech is to inform students about negative consequences of the drunk driving. INTRODUCTION Attention Step. I believe many of you had experience of participation in some everyday actions under the influence of alcohol. You should not raise hands, just let’s admit these situations had place and had different levels of potential and real consequences. Establish Need/Relevance. There was an old joke: Why did the amount of car accidents raise compared to the animal-drawn transport? Because the driver depends only on his own head now. The development of self-driving cars can improve the situation, but will be in the future. Today drivers depend mostly on their own heads, which are not always dependable. Statistics shows people often do not treat alcohol as a setback for driving. Thousands of car accidents happen because of drunk drivers each year in each American state. I should admit I have never been a drunken driver. However, I have an experience of sharing a car with such a person. I was a child and I was really scared when the man swerved on the road with me and his son (my friend) on the backseat. We came home safely, but there were many possibilities for the horrible accident. I also saw many examples in newspapers and other sources, where people were less lucky. Thesis.
