Everything that has the potential great enough to change a generation has equal potential to greatly harm society and the future of many. Anything and everything that has a negative effect to one person has the ability to benefit another person greatly. A prime example of this is within politics. Doug Ford is basing his 2018 political campaign off of the harm that many believe comes from the use of specific items that are an asset to living normally in today’s society. It may not come as much of a surprise that within politics as well as campaigns, candidates will say or do anything that sounds even remotely pleasing to the public. The political promises made to eliminate the use of these items will not result in beneficial outcomes. If Doug Ford chooses to stay true to the promises within his campaign in regards to banning technologies as well as cellular devices, a future that is not attainable, safety concern among the children of this generation, and a setback in the education that is taught and obtained by students today will all be at our disposal. Every person in this world has their own rights. These rights differ from one another when compared from country to country for obvious differences in laws and governments. In North America, within the Transcript of Human Rights, Right #17 states that, “everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others, and no one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property,”. This right relates to the ownership of properties in the form of land as well as properties in relation to items. An example of an item commonly taken without consent is in fact, a cell phone. Not only are teachers as well as school boards not allowed to take phones away from students, it is in fact against the law
