In the article, Trump stirs outrage after he lashes out at the Muslim parents of a dead U.S. soldier, by Jose A. DelReal and Anne Gearan, it summarizes that Donald Trump does not have what it is to be a president. Most of this has come from the fact that because his actions stirred commotions amongst the press and caused for people to think he does not have the qualities such as compassion to be president. Other people even went on to say that what he says is not even normal and worthy of saying that he has no redeemable qualities. As a result, from this event, a man named Khizr Khan talked back in opposition against Trump in his ideals about Muslims and immigrants. Afterwards, Trump gained an overwhelming amount of backlash from this and he
“Donald Trump is the only Republican candidate who seems to have any inclination to act strictly in America’s interest. More importantly, he is the only Republican candidate who is willing to even address the problem. Trump may not have been right to say that we need to stop letting more Muslims into the country or, at least, examine the issue, but he wasn’t crazy to suggest it either”.
The Rolling Stones were right when they said, “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, well you just might find, you get what you need.” Barack Obama, after 8 years of darkness, you were what we needed as a country. You got a lot accomplished in your residency of the White House. While disaster seems destined in this upcoming election, I have become entirely more grateful of everything you did for this nation. Barack, you were left a huge mess and I commend you on your ability to clean it up make a difference.
So I've been contemplating the whole Khan family vs Trump's exchange of words in the media. Trump claims to have respect for our veterans and their families yet he showed no compassion when he went after a fallen hero's parents. He didn't even hesitate to throw in the religion card when he insinuated that the mother of Captain Khan wasn't allowed to speak and correlating it to her being a Muslim. For those on the right that claim to love America and its veterans, if any of Donald's many hate filled tweets and speeches didn't wake you up earlier from supporting him, then this should be where the buck stops. Otherwise, you're reaffirming his insensitive and racist rhetoric. I want Trump to know that the sacrifice made by myself and the thousands
According to the article, President-elect Trump won Tuesday’s night Presidential Election. First, Donald Trump won because he was helped by a depressed voter turnout, which always helps Republicans. Second, Hillary Clinton received the most votes in the presidential election, a higher percentage than Richard Nixon received in 1968, and Bill Clinton in 1992 but does not mean she won the whole election. Finally, another reason why Trump won is because prices for Obamacare increased substantially in some key states, including Arizona, just weeks before the election. This happened on Elecetion Day after results were officialy
There’s a reason we don’t let brand new pilots in the left seat of passenger jets. They might look like they know how to fly, but really they only know how to crash. And there’s a reason that if Donald Trump is elected president, he will destroy America’s foundation.
These early instances of political trouble are further reflected in Trump’s exceptionally low approval ratings, which indicate the public’s swelling dissatisfaction with the current operation of government, the weakening of the Reagan regime, and the looming possibility of political disjunction. Recent polls establish Trump’s approval rating at 38 percent--a number largely unprecedented so early into a president’s first term (Gallup). Disjunctive presidents often suffer from the lowest approval ratings of other regime leaders because of the shortcomings and disadvantages they already face when they first enter office. Carter experienced similarly low public favor relative to other presidents during the F.D.R. regime, garnering an average
On November 8, 2016 the US election took place. The two front runners, the Democratic nominee Hilary Clinton and the Republican nominee, Donald Trump went neck to neck in the presidential race. On this frightening night, millions of people watched America’s worst nightmare unfold right in front of their own eyes. Donald J. Trump the islamophobic, xenophobic, misogynistic, homophobic, sexist, racist bigot defeated Hilary Clinton and became the 45th President of the United States of America. Donald Trump shouldn’t have even been nominated to run for president.
This past Friday Donald J. Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of The United States, and through this election race and his actions already as president I believe it is very clear that he will make quite a unique president.
Through the ages, America has been a very influential country therefore a great president is needed in order to continue its legacy. The United States of America has had many great presidents that came and go. From the founding father, George Washington to the wise president, Barack Obama. Many of these presidents had good reasons as to why they want this challenging job, whether it was their true virtue of being a man or having the support of the whole nation. But this year, the nation faces a difficult decision which is whether or not Donald Trump is suitable to be the leader of America. However, my opinion states that he is not suitable for president because of the following reasons, he has a horrible personality, he is bad in business and
In a Politico website article titled, “Trump defends himself on response to Obama Muslim question” by Ali Breland, published on September 19, 2015, it talks about the recent Republican debate where controversial issues were brought up regarding faith and religion, leading Donald Trump to a loss in his polls for his presidential election. On the day of the debate, Donald Trump was encountered by a harsh statement, made by an audience member, who had called Obama a Muslim. At that time, Donald Trump did not react to his statement, but because of that he was being questioned by many of his voters, on his take of the controversial issue. Some people believed he was a supporter of Muslims and not having said anything lead him to a downfall in his
Donald Trump has criticized many before. Last year, Trump denounced Senator John McCain who was a prisoner in the Vietnam War. But, all of his criticisms were usually aimed at politicians. This time, Trump took his bullying a step forward by attacking Khizr and Ghazala Khan, parents of a solider who died in battle. The Khan family has the sympathy of Americans, making Trump look unpatriotic.
Being that the President of the United States is an iconic figure in the economic world, they should possess necessary qualities as they represent the country. There are many qualities that the President should have. Such as being a master negotiator, being competitive and driven to win, having the courage to do the right thing, dealing peacefully with disagreements and anger, and self-control/self-discipline. For one, a President should be able to excel in world negotiation. Negotiating with other countries is an essential role to holding executive office since foreign interactions are necessary for the economy. For example, mastery of negotiation is crucial in international trade because the United States is one of the most active trading
The greatest gift that America could have given to me, has been given to me. Our president, Mr. Donald Trump is America’s Gift. The thing that I most admire about him, is the amount of work that he has put in to win the election. There are many people who dislike Trump, and against all odds, he was able to pull it off and win the election. He is now working to Make America Great Again™.
Now first question we can ask to Trump what exactly happened that he made this kind of statement about all Muslim. Actually his message comes in the wake of a deadly mass shooting in
There are many reasons as to why Donald Trump shouldn’t be president. He’s a man who thinks it’s okay to make racist comments and who thinks it is okay to make fun of a disabled person. He doesn’t realize that America is made up of a huge minority groups including: Hispanics, Muslims, and African Americans. He is someone who has no clue about political issues because he has never had any experience in the field before. We ask ourselves why did the United States choose him to be president. The reason why he won is because he won the electoral college votes. He did not win the popular vote and this has been controversial. Trump isn’t fit for the job. He says whatever he wants when he wants and doesn’t care if he hurts people. Therefore, I think
