So it’s Monday again worst day of the week, and the first day of school thats when everything is horrible for me. When you walk through those doors to Dogwood high school ( which is literally hell on planet Earth ) all of your positive feelings or vibes just disappear. I hate that school so much not because of the work, or the homework, or the teachers, its the students that make me dislike school so much. People can be so mean and nobody even really knows me besides my best friend Blair Rhodes, pretty much my only friend to be exact.
Seventeen year old, Edward Pierce Jr. and best friends, Bobbi Brown and James Farley are nearly done with their last year of school at Pioneer Lake High School. One week before graduation and their descent into the real world, tragedy strikes. James has committed suicide, leaving Edward and Bobbi to pick up the pieces. Could they have prevented their best friend’s death? Are they to blame? Can they handle the loss of a loved one without breaking in half?
In the early months of 2002, Juneau-Douglas High School in Juneau Alaska, held a school-sponsored and faculty supervised event, held off of school property, to observe the Olympic Torch pass through their area. When television cameras began to turn in the direction of a group of students, they unfurled a banner with the phrase “BONG HiTS [sic] 4 JESUS”. The school principle, Deborah Morse, told the students to remove the banner and one of them named Joseph Frederick refused, compelling Morse to confiscated the banner claiming it promoted illegal drug use and suspended Frederick [1]. The school district superintendent supported Morse and permitted the suspension, stating the banner was in violation of school policy by endorsing the use of

Muldrow Middle School students had the opportunity to create a school wide demonstration about their educational path. The student body created a maze in the gym and an individual student was blindfolded. Instructions for the blindfolded student to walk through the maze was given by another student from the bleachers. Students learned even though there are obstacles in their educational path, it is important to listen to the right voices to guide them to their destination. This demonstration was part of the Muldrow Middle School House
Being a student of Greenbrier High School I have lots of opinions that the school could change for better or worse. Now I know that my opinion doesn’t matter to the school and to the faculty. Many times there are searches of student lockers and backpacks along with the student being there in person. Most of the time the people that get searched are the ones that look suspicious. Also are the people that are known for doing drugs. So attracting attention is one main way to get searched. I believe that it does keep people safe. It helps know we are
On March 16, 2017 in Rockville, Maryland, a 14-year-old ninth grade girl was raped in her high school bathroom by two illegal immigrants aged 17 and 18 also attending the high school. This has shaken the Maryland community and is raising a lot of questions about student’s safety at school and the state’s immigration policies. This is not an incident that should ever have happened and should never happen again in the future.
You are attending a school and the same people that are into athletics getting all the fame. The Athletes are put on a higher pedestal, because everyone recognizes their talent. Deep in the shadows lurks people talented in other activities such as chess, dramatics, singing, video games, and plenty more other non-athletic activities. This is exactly the situation at East Jordan high school. At every pep assembly the athletes are recognized for their talents. Which they have deserved, but other students deserve to have their talents show too. Here at East Jordan high school, we do not have much clubs for people with other types of talents. One way we could solve this problem is adding more clubs to give everyone that moment to shine. East Jordan Middle/High School must add non-athletic after school activities because it will help
The location is in a very good spot in town. The store is near a shopping mall, so if athletes are looking for shoes, or other things, they can go into star physical for an exam. Its also near HWY 51 bypass, so visitors can visit, or just look around. Athletes, no matter what sport, would go to star for multiple reasons: injuries, workout advice, or just to learn about physical therapy. The most targeted customer type for a physical therapy office is athletes, so if runners, ball players, etc. visit, the business has served its purpose. Its also located near a highway, so if people moving into town might see it as a possible work opportunity.
This social issue has been in the spotlight for quite some time now and is the leading cause for students to miss school, become less social, cause self harm and even in some cases death. Bullying and harassment are commonly seen for the most part amongst teenagers who face issues at school, not only does this happen here in the United States, but in schools universally. ¨17% of American students report being bullied 2 to 3 times a month or more within a school semester¨ (Valerie). Although this is mostly seen among teens it can also happen between children and even adults. Bullying can occur everyday throughout Madera High School and no one would be able to acknowledge or stand up for the victim. Vice Principals at MHS have said that more
Madera High school in its past years have dealt with many cases of bullying and harassment among the students on the campus. A hand full of students from Madera High stated that people being harassed and picked on was something that was seen often on social media and up in personal. This became a major problem when social media such as Myspace were first made. This was the beginning of online harassment and bullying. Cyber bullying isn’t something that other people should just look past and ignore because people take their lives from it. People don’t notice what’s going on in the life of a victim that is bullied. Nowadays mostly all of Madera high school students have social media and physical bullying is more rare to see because most of the
Mt. Vickson High School contains a little over 1,000 students total. It's a small high school in Connecticut that doesn't have much recognition. My last 3 years working here have been interesting. Fresh out of college, I applied for a job teaching science or math. I applied at many other schools, but the Mt. Vicks school board got back to me very quickly and offered me a choice: either honors and scholars biology or essentials and scholars algebra 1. Although both were strong suits of mine, I had been an honors student all my life and my biology teacher had inspired me to become a teacher in the first place. I knew I needed the job so I came for an interview and signed the papers. It felt right to take the job teaching junior biology. That
I want to attend Archbishop Mitty High School because I believe that I can have an excellent education while having fun at the same time. When I went to the Open House at Archbishop Mitty High School, I immediately knew that this was the school for me. At Archbishop Mitty High School, I saw that they have Debate, Student Council, and Volleyball. I am especially passionate about Debate. I also love volleyball because I know can stay active while having fun at the same time. Since Mitty is a catholic school, I can have a spiritual growth along with a good academic education. When I was shadowing at Mitty, the people were very polite and welcoming which I really liked. My ambassador was very nice and friendly with me. The day I was shadowing
It just so happens that the lack of certain classes affect how "boring" or "entertaining" school is. Such classes are that of art, which can be essential to some teenage growth. My school is no exception, Odenville Middle School needs an art class.
