I think dog parks are a good idea. Dogs need alot of exercise and play time. Many cites and urban areas just dont have the room for that to happen. But there are optoins there many open unused lots, and empty building that could be torn down to create these places. I am a dog owner myself i live in the country were open space is abundant. Limiting a dog's physical activity can lead to many other problems such as dog-bite reports increasing, crowded dog shelters, and bad behaved dogs. In my opinion a dog park could be great for residents. It could raise property value for nearby residents. The benefits are gained by dogs aswell considering they'll be happier, get proper exercise, social interaction with other pets, and a day out with their owners. Also dogs that get proper exercise are more likely to live longer.
