This proves that dodgeball teaches skills that can make kids better at sport. Now that we know that dodgeball is good sport to play you should know that cheerleading is a good sport to play two. And this is why cheerleading is a good sport to play because when coaches have certifications they know how to teach cheerleading to avoid injury. This shows that cheerleading is great to play. You have been training all summer. You have been in the weight room almost every day and wake up so sore you can barely walk. You give encouraging words to your teammates and pump them up right before a game. You are tough and fearless when you take the field. You strive to do your best and want to win. How would you feel if every time you took that field your peers didn’t believe in you and did not respect your sport? Cheerleaders go to the gym and work just as hard as other athletes do, and are not receiving any credit. This makes us frustrated and let down. There are many aspects of cheer that people are unaware of. Being a cheerleader, you have to be able to tumble, stunt, be competitive, have teamwork, and most of all dedication. Cheerleading is a sport because it is physically demanding, requires teamwork, and is very competitive.
This shows, the logic of the school board saying that students are participating. That could be that they are getting targeted and/or getting injured. That is important, because it supports the claim that dodgeball is not appropriate for school, because kids are not playing and getting active. Finally, the author shows that he used
Kids all over the nation love Dodgeball. I know this because I’m one of them. Our class always wines to play it and we get to on Fridays as our reward for making it through the week. Kids love the game so why should you take it away? When taken away from school children will just play the game elsewhere. If we
One reason why youth football shouldn't be banned is because, if u want to play you need to have good grades. For example, Pop Warner does not let their players participate unless they have a 2.0 average or above. This shows that youth football coaches care about their players achieving in the classroom and not just on the field. Also AYF, (another youth organization) believes that their players should excel in the classroom as well as on the field.
Most people overlook cheerleading as a sport unless they were once a cheerleader or know a cheerleader personally. Many people do not realize that most all sports are equal. People do not realize the similarities cheerleading have with basketball. Many people do not think cheerleading is a real sport, yet cheerleading and basketball have a lot of similarities like workout ethics, competitions, professional league and scholarship.
I am a cheerleader, and was taken away from what I love due to an injury. When you think of cheerleading you imagine the make-up, the pom-poms, and the groups of people throwing cheerleaders high in the air, but cheerleading is more. Cheer is the performance of athletic skills, jumps, dancing, and chanting to get feedback from crowds at events, games, etc. Cheerleaders can be featured at games in support of sports teams, or at cheerleading competitions to earn points. According to varsity.com, which is a foundation that makes articles, social media, and supplies cheer groups with equipment/clothing, frequent drama that speculates when we tell people we cheer they say “cheerleading is not a sport”. Cheerleading fits all the criteria to be considered
When it comes to cheerleading, most of us will readily agree that it is not a real sport. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of why not. Whereas some are convinced that cheerleading doesn’t meet necessary qualifications to officially be a sport, others maintain that it does have qualities deeming it to be a sport. This is because the competition level in high school and college exceeds the expectation of those other sports that put in the time, hard work and effort to win a championship or tournament. Many don’t consider the cheerleaders that get tossed in the air, have extensive acrobatic skills, and the strength to carry their teammates on their shoulders or even in their hands in the competitions. They don’t get the credit they deserve or are recognized appropriately enough for the sport they compete in, earning them the respect of being the athletes they are in the sport they’re apart of, therefore I’m in favor of cheerleading being considered a sport.
Many people say cheerleading isn't a sport. They feel that if you don't have a ball in your hand then you are not an athlete. Also people feel that cheer isn't a sport because they think cheer does"t compete against other teams and having a goal. There is many reasons to why cheer is a sport .
Youth shouldn’t be banned from participating in sports such as Dodgeball, cheerleading , and football. One reason dodgeball should not be banned , because it teaches physical and mental skills. According to NADA founder Rick Heatheo he says, “It allows kids who are not athletes participate in a team sport. This shows that the kids who don't play on team sports get the opportunity to play a sport a be on a team. This sport is also teaching kids eye hand coordination and the ability to think and draw quick conclusions, plus kids say it’s a fun sport If properly supervised. Cheerleading is one sport that definitely shouldn’t banned. A reason Cheerleading shouldn’t be banned because most coaches are trained and certified. According to Cheerleading
With 7.8 million student athletes, some are bound to get injured. On average 2 million student athletes are injured each year. Although there are regulations in place, athletes compete to be the best that they are able and push the boundaries of the regulations, and they still end up injured. The NCAA looks over college athletics and controls the regulations that athletes are obliged to follow. Without regulations, sports would be “a-wall”, athletes would become even more injured, that might be why cheerleading is the most dangerous sport for females, and on average 26,786 cheerleaders are injured each year. The NCAA does not count cheerleading as a “sport” which means that they do not govern the cheerleading rules and regulations. If the NCAA would adopt cheerleading as a sport, the cheerleading regulations would change, and it would become a safer activity for all participants.
Whether cheerleading is considered a sport has become a very controversial topic over the past few years. Due to lack of education of the sport, it is very frowned upon by other athletes. Other athletes seem to feel that cheerleading isn't difficult and requires minimum to no effort. These accusations can be very hurtful when coming from a cheerleader’s perspective. Based on their strength and skill, the amount of practicing and maintaining health, the number of injuries, and its competitive aspect, cheerleading should be considered a sport. The talent that these young men and women have is phenomenal. The performance of their skills looks extremely flawless but no one truly knows what goes on behind the pretty stunts and synchronized
Could you imagine not having the option of playing sports when you were a kid? Although some people believe concussions would be lowered if children under the age of 16 did not play sports, the school district shouldn't ban sports because children's mental, physical, and social health are improved.
Dodgeball is just the start of the Physical activity war. The Physical Education Directors start with getting rid of Dodgeball then they will slowly make students start to walking in circles for an hour then going back to class! Like Reilly says in his article Weak Shall Inherit the Gym “Human targets? What's tag? What's a snowball fight? What's a close play at second?” Dodgeball is just one of many “human
Acne can be a huge confidence-buster amongst people of all ages. Both fresh breakouts and scars from previous acne flares can make a person feel conscious about their appearance. While topical treatments, medicines and ointments can greatly reduce the number of fresh breakouts, one needs to deal with the scars left behind by acne as well.
You are worried about your child going to get injured in his first game of football. Little did you know, there's nothing you should be really worried about. In fact, sports to young children or teens might seem dangerous. But on the other hand, it is just a fun sport for young children and teens to play.
