In this day and age, people are very passionate about their beliefs. Many change their lives to do what they believe to be right. Many people are very concerned about animal mistreatment, so they do not use any food or products that come from animals or that harm them in any way. This lifestyle is called veganism. According to an article on veganism, the definition is "a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practical—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose." Vegans are devoted to stopping all cruelty to animals, and therefore, are the voices for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Vegans are at less of a risk of many diseases than non-vegans. They have lower body mass and less body fat, which contributes to a lower risk of diseases involving body weight. Additionally, vegans claim that they have clearer skin, and stronger hair and nails. Vegans also typically have more energy. According to a man named Randy Hale, being a vegan is very beneficial to your health. Hale grew up in the midwest eating plenty of red meat and very little vegetables. He was later in life diagnosed with high blood pressure, unsafe cholesterol levels, and type 2 diabetes. He adopted a vegan diet, and within a few weeks, he was almost cured of all his medical issues. Randy Hale is an example of how adopting a vegan diet is truly better for your health. Vegan diets are very beneficial due to their ability to prolong your life and overall make you happier.
