Divergent book report
One of the differences of the book and the movie is, the order of the events. Before that, I want to talk about what the difference is from start to finish. The first difference is, in the aptitude test, that is a test that says what faction you should choose. The factions are Amity, they farm the land and are always happy. The Abnegation, are kind, and they feed the factionless which don't have a faction due to quitting their faction or they don't belong in one. The Dauntless are the guards of the the city and the warriors, and are very dareing. Then Erudite the are intelligent and try figure out how everything works. Finally Candor they are honest and help the Abnegation with the laws.
In the test in the book an old lady in the cafeteria

Another difference is when she chooses Dauntless and jumps off a moving train. Tris sees a girl that missed the roof of the building and died. In the movie that did not happen. When one of the leaders announce what they are doing next it is not Eric, it is Max the main leader. Eric is not announced until later in the book, in the movie he is announced right away. After Four and Eric describes what they are going to do for ranking in the book they shoot guns at targets, Tris goes to box, loses the first fight to the second best boxer, and is knocked out for a couple hours. In the movie, she runs, shoots guns, then fights Molly, which in the book she fights second and wins due to the anger she has. In the movie the film creator have the fights backwards; she loses both of the fights. Instead of winning the last fight she fights. In the book ranking she stays in the top ten.in the movie, she goes from last place to twentienth. The next difference in the book she gets four tattoos, in the movie she only gets one. In the book, when she gets her first tattoo, she gets a new dress and eyeliner. the movie left that part out along with she kisses four more than one time. When the Dauntless play
One book that is very similar to this book is Divergent by Veronica Roth. This book is a ‘sequel’ to the whole Divergent series technically. One part of the book that is similar is the fight scenes. In the beginning of the book, Four is training at Dauntless and he starts to train and learn how to fight. Which also happens in the book Divergent. Both characters, Tris and Four, aren't the best at fighting and have to learn. Four has to fight Eric. Four wins the fight against Eric and Eric is obviously
over is whether the book or the movie is better. So which one is better, the Divergent book or the Divergent movie? When comparing and contrasting the Divergent book and the movie based off of the book, you notice there are some features that are the same, and some features that are different. Some examples of these features are the details, the process, and the accuracy. The level of details are different in the Divergent book than it is in the movie. In the divergent book, there was more detail
The divergent book written by Veronica Roth made a big hit in dystopian literature. This book as it got popular, moviemakers decided to make this book to real. As many movies, Divergent has many differences and comparisons with the book. Usually like always, the producer adds and edits some parts of the book that makes the movie have differences with the book and things missing because of course he cannot put the whole book in the script. The differences that are shown below will show you that the
1) Which movie/book/game are you using and explain the plot in a paragraph. The movie I choose for this project is Divergent. Divergent, set in an unspecific time in the future, takes place in a post-apocalyptic Chicago. Tris Potter must choose one of five factions in which she will spend the rest of here life, Tris chooses Dauntless and the pursuit of bravery. However, Tris is found to be divergent and will never fit into just one faction. Concealing her status, Tris is able to uncover a coming
The movie Divergent is based on the novel by Veronica Roth. The book and film takes place in future Chicago where there are five factions; Dauntless, Abnegation, Erudite, Amity, and Candor. People in future Chicago take a test to determine what faction is most like them. If multiple factions are the result of the test, then it is determined that the person is Divergent. This is a rare story of Beatrice Prior’s experience as being Divergent and surviving in the Dauntless community. The movie starts
For the most part, the main conflict is the same. Divergents are considered threats. There are many differences when we discuss the Divergent book written by Veronica Roth to the Divergent Movie directed by Neil Burger Through the beginning of the movie things seems to be very similar to the book. The first difference we notice is when Beatrice take the aptitude test, is in the book it was said to pick a knife or cheese but in the movie she had the option of picking a knife or a steak. Knowing
In the Divergent Series: Insurgent movie, Neil Burger makes major changes in the movie from the original book that Veronica Roth wrote. Although Burger has a plethora of reasons as to why he made specific changes in the movie, there is a greater purpose. On screen, Jeanine Matthews, the antagonist, believes that there is a mystery box with an important message about the faction system she is running. The box itself is representative of the five- faction system on the outside of it. Unlike the movie
Essay Most of the times when a favorite book is turned into a movie a lot of the important details and side characters are completely left out, or they add crazy changes that seem to add to the action but doesn’t add up to the plot line. The novel series “Divergent” is an example of one of these movie vs book issues. Spoiler alert, for example people that died in the book didn’t die in the movie. That took away the emotional response most people had in the book and left a feeling of shock in theaters
in a writing career, Roth transferred to Northwestern University’s creative writing program for the rest of her college education. During her senior year, she drafted the first copy of Divergent. She quickly rose to fame when Divergent was published. After releasing the whole series,
Escapism particularly combines with and is seen in the utopian/dystopian genre. The utopian and dystopian genre is often false and excludes certain people, an example of this is Divergent. Divergent showcases this genre especially well. In case you haven’t seen the movie, basically the world builds an enclosure for a civilisation as an “experiment”, attempting to create a better society. This experiment saw the beginning of modifications to genes that resulted in disastrous
Brave New World vs Divergent Everyone wonders how the future will be. What will change, what will stay the same? Everyone has their own views and scenarios on the future just as Brave New world and Divergent do. Brave New World and Divergent both take a look at the theme of social stability by analyzing setting, perspective and control. They both depict the future to be divided into five factions or castes where everyone is designated to a specific one. However, that may not always be the case as
I liked the book I read, The 5th Wave. It was full of action, hardships, and love. The hardship was shown when Cassie was in the woods fighting for her life. It was also evident in the parts where Ben was being turned into the soldier that he is. Evans hardship was trying to figure out why he couldn't kill Cassie as well as when he was blowing up Camp Haven. Blowing up Camp Haven is also an example of action in the novel. An example of love shown in the novel is, “Holding my hand across his chest
advancement in life. The main goal of the entire journey was for him to discover himself and ignore the world, money, and titles. All he ever desired was the truth, to be at peace with himself, and to leave the world behind to live freely. In the movie "Into the Wild," McCandless idealistically expresses, "I'm going to paraphrase Thoreau here... rather than love, than money, than faith, than fame, than fairness... give me truth". Although most people believed that his goal was idealistic, McCandless
