She is known for fighting for the middle class and because of this she is skilled in the topics of bankruptcy and financial pressures that face the middle class (Biography). When she was campaigning for senate in 2012 Elizabeth proposed the question: : Do we want to be a country that thinks "I got mine, and the rest of you are on your own? Or are we a country that believes that we make investments in our future so that we can thrive and our kids can do better than we do?
