Bev and Sheila met 19 years ago . At Bev's daughter ,Meredith's wedding. It was Christmastime. Sheila was the harpist at the reception. She was smitten by the love bug, the instance she caught a glimpse of her.Bev was tall with olive skin and oversized brown eyes that blinked a lot. She was willowy for a woman late in middle age. The way Bev sashayed around the dining hall like a butterfly in that lacy light pink pantsuit was mesmerizing. It was improbable anything would come of her fantasy. She was mostly a lesbian in theory these days.
Other women rarely asked her out. Short people with reddish brown hair in a ponytail and coke bottle glasses were not in style. To top it off she was painfully shy around people she didn't know. Her mother usually had to order for her because Sheila was so embarrassed of

They talked about about everything late into the night and Sheila didn't stutter once.Even though this is the most she had ever talked or laughed in about ten years.A round of drinks turned into a lot of drinks. Then ended up staggering out of the hotel bar after they closed and went up to Bev's room.
'' Their is a few things you should know about me,'' Bev said slurring and hanging onto the wall
"I have never been with a women before , although I thought about it all the time over the years.Their always seem to be something missing in all my relationships with men. I like to think at 53 it isn't too late to change. My hair is actually a wig.Just In case my hair flies off my head in the heat of the moment, .Because my real hair never grew back right after I had cancer about five years ago. Also, I am pretty frightening looking naked. My ex- husband was completely turned off by my mastectomy scars, stretch marks and a c section scar and wrinkles, so I understand if you have to do it with your eyes closed or leave, Bev said. She looked ready to say more things to deter her, but Sheila cut her
I am reading “ The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” by W.D. Wetherell. This story is about a boy who has a crush on a girl named Sheila Mant. He has asked her out on a date, and it doesn’t have the best start to it. In this journal I will be questioning and characterizing.

In this speech, Jane Addams references George Washington’s accomplishments in his past, including how things would be if he is to be present today. Throughout the course of this novel, many relationships are revealed and some had a tremendous impact on the book’s storyline. The two sisters, Nettie and Celie, exhibit a mother daughter relationship, which is completely broken apart when Mr. takes control of the situation by separating the two and concealing the letters that were the last chance for the girls to stay connected. Mr. and Celie’s relationship displays a soft spoken young girl, who lacked much self-confidence, fearing her husband, who was much older than she, because of his abusive behavior. The relationship between Celie and Shug, which in my opinion is the most dynamic relationship in the novel, sets the tone through the love and compassion the two share, and it is used as the kick
Do you know that only 1.6% of college football players make it to the NFL? Less than 1% make it to the NBA, and only 10.5% make it to the MBL. All of these athletes could be enjoying their weekends at home, they don’t have time for a job to make extra money, and they miss family holidays and events for games. College athletes should get paid.

This thriller novel, The Returners wrote by Gemma Malley is an action-packed novel. Filled with unexpected twists and turns. The narration that takes place in this book is different than other young adult books like “The Hunger Games.” In the novel The Returners the author reveals Will Hodges, inner dialogues to the readers. For example the narrator guides us on what’s happening in his dreams. Whereas in The Hunger Games we don't get as much information on what’s going on through the character's mind. Without knowing the characters inner dialogues in this book it would cause confusion to the audience . Also many of the characters inner thoughts are expressed well. For instance, on the cover page, it says “A past life doesn’t mean a good one.” After reading this sentence we can tell this book has something to do with the past and the feelings some characters will go through.
A huge obstacle that women only in the near past have been able to conquer is their status in society. Women today have the freedom to take up any profession they desire, attend any school they desire, and most importantly marry anyone they desire. In the 16th-18th centuries, the time of the Renaissance, rebirth, and discovery of grand new worlds, women possessed the status of children in many ways; women were considered minors dependent on their fathers until marriage when that dependency transferred to their husbands. They could not own land, they could not be educated, and they most importantly could not marry whom they chose. The poor could possibly marry for love, but the new wealthy merchant class and the

"I imagine every man this side of Vegas would love to try. You're not exactly unattractive, however I'm glad to hear you apparently have taste" Duane smiled as he shot her the compliment, and alluded to himself. The woman had approached him, and the conversation had quickly turned sexual; the undercurrent of their words left that in no doubt; but it was in a flirting and teasing manner, almost a competition as Duane saw it, and to be spoken to so boldly was something he was unsued to. The women back East had either been prudes or hussies, and hadn't dared reciprocate to his humour and wordplay with their own, or had just lacked the wit an intelligence to do so. No matter how good they were in the sack, he'd quickly become bored of them.

It's been several weeks since I met Julia and started dating her, and I can´t still believe that she shares my ideas of opposing the party, she is so amazing, she is… she is… the best thing that could happen to me.
Monogamy was a word she hadn’t heard. She hadn’t been old enough to learn the old rules concerning relationships. Though she did know, some women got jealous. Jealousy was nothing to her; the world with its empty cities had everything. There was nothing you couldn’t get if you searched hard enough… except companionship. But Gypsy had never wanted that anyway… Cassie
In Katherine Mansfield’s “Miss Brill,” a lonely elderly lady goes to the park every Sunday to listen to other people’s conversations and temporarily live in their lives, which creates an inner conflict after Miss Brill overhears a young couple speaking ill of her. To avoid this confrontation, Miss Brill repositions her feelings and the negative comments onto other objects, such as the woman in the ermine toque or her fur, thus enabling her to continue living in her deluded fantasies without actually addressing her problems or seeking a solution. Miss Brill lives by herself and has only her fur as her companionship. When she pulls it out of the box, she “rub[s] the life back into the dim little eyes” (175). This is already an indication that
“You’ll be okay as long as I’m here,” I reassured her. She smiled her perfect smile, and I thanked the darkness for concealing my heated face. As light from the television illuminated the room, I studied Evelyn’s face, which was sallow in the white glow. Her eyes were squinted in concentration, as if she were determined not to be afraid this time. I’d never noticed how long her nose was until now. It was actually kind of cute, the way it protruded at the tip just a little. Stop thinking like that, I scolded myself. I’ll get hurt anyway. She probably has a boyfriend. Have we ever talked about stuff like boys?
