This semester I am enrolling as a senior at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota with an expected degree in History. However, I hope to remain for one extra year to concentrate on my minor in Political Science. In the future, I hope to attend graduate school and expertise in the field of Social and Political History. Thought an introduction of the Dewitt Dunham Scholarship by Professor Brendan McManus and Professor John Ellis, and after a close review of the scholarship requirements, I am very excited to send my application for consideration for the Dewitt Dunham Scholarship. The Dewitt Dunham Scholarship is a great match to my interest in the field of Social and Political History. I discovered my passion for History as recently
Spiritual: The pre-stage is infancy before & language and conceptual thought. Sometime between two and seven a child enters intuitive/projective faith marked by the rise of imagination, but lacks logic for questioning perceptions or fantasies. Next, children progress into mythic/literal faith. Here the child develops a
Jane thinks she will be taking ten months’ maternity leave after the birth of their child. Her employer’s maternity package is full pay for the first six months, and then on the statutory maternity pay, worth about £94 net per week, for the further four months. They looked into Adan taking some paternity leave but have decided against it, and
McDaniel College had first been created when its first building went up in 1866-1867. The school was the first institution that was south of the Mason-Dixon line and was coeducational. The first name that the school had was Western Maryland. That name originated because the institutions first board chairman (John Smith Wakefield) was president of the railroad, which had been called Western Maryland Railroad. The railroad had run through the college town. McDaniel had been one of forty colleges in the nation to be recognition in the New York Times education writer Loren Pope’s book, “Colleges That Change Lives” ("World Ranking Guide”). The schools colors are green and gold and the mascot is a Green Terror. There are about 1,629 students
Brain Bigelow, John La Gaipa and William Corsaro have both made important contributions into understanding how children interpret “friendship”. Bigelow and La Gaipa carried out one of the first studies from what was a very under researched area. Bill Corsaro, a key figure in childhood studies, was particularly successful in gaining access into young children's worlds which has helped shape a further picture of this somewhat intriguing definition. I, De’Ja Sibley, deserve the MoolahSPOT scholarship because I am hard working, consistent, and determined. When I complete high school in May 2017, I will attend Northwestern State University in Louisiana (NSU). I will major in Nursing and further my education after I achieve my four years of college. The MoolahSPOT scholarship will serve me tremendously when pursuing my goal becoming a great student at NSU.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply for this unique scholarship. This award shows me that you recognize your alumni as being vital to the campus. I’ve had a long family history with your school. My great grandmother Florence Wilson attended the former Platteville State Teacher College and taught a year before marrying my great grandfather. My grandfather, Kenneth Wilson, attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville and studied agriculture. His education was beneficial in his career in farming. He needed to leave school after two years in order to work full time on the farm and to raise seven children. Three of his children attended UW-Platteville. My uncle Kurt Wilson started teaching physical education in Lodi after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He is still enjoying his job there. My mother, Lynette Wilson (Potter) received a Bachelors of Science degree in Art and a Masters of Science in Counselor Education. She has had many creative positions and has worked with a variety of people over the years. Her artwork has been published in national magazines as well as local papers. She was dedicated to her job working with the developmentally
I came from the public schools district in Philadelphia, where they didn’t have enough money for books and computers to prepare student for the competitive world. That made me realize there is more to this world than Philadelphia. I know there are more opportunities for minorities. When I reach my dream goal in life I will return to my city to give back. Many college graduates want an education, to support them after graduation. They want to enjoy the profession they have chosen. This scholarship will impact my perception on organizations that help young minorities grow to their full potential. Understanding that organizations does seek out students that work hard and want it for themselves, is something that inspires me to want to do the same. I want students to know that as long as you work hard in school, get excellent grades, and want more in life for yourself, that you can achieve any goal that they

I believe I have helped out the community of Sartell in many ways. I have had a lot of opportunities to make a difference, and I am happy to help whenever needed. I have helped at many sites and with a large range of age groups. I have enjoyed all of my experiences.
I believe that I am a good candidate for the Amy L. McKee-Everett Memorial Scholarship due to my caring and loving nature. An excellent example would be the time I gave back to Flat Rock River YMCA Camp this year, during New Years Eve. I volunteered as a counselor to a group of amazing girls. I wanted to volunteer my time, seeing that Flat Rock had done so much for me, in my seven years as a camper. It was time to give back. The 53 hours of time I spent helping out with all the girls, was immensely rewarding. I wouldn't trade my experiences I have had with Flat Rock River YMCA Camp for the world. This experience made me a better person, and will carry over into my undergraduate years of college. I am going into my freshman year bearing skills

Waking up in the morning, going to sleep at night, and doing what one loves in between, is what success means. That, to me, encompasses being able to help people and possibly save lives as a career. There is a nobility in succeeding in certain areas one cares deeply about. Having the ability and capability to protect and serve is a strong desire within me. Developing my education, in order to further my success something that I perceive as a crucial aspect of being able to do what I love. Attending Endicott is the first step in this journey of mine.
After taking some time to read the university website and student testimonials, I was able to gauge my “fit” candidacy at Pikeville. Having traveled to the area previously to visit family has also been factored into my decision. It is the college’s involvement with the community that is most enticing to me. I participate in my own community and wish to continue community involvement while in medical school. The humanistic tradition and the intrinsic osteopathic philosophy held by Pikeville obviously resonate with me due to my interest in the osteopathic approach to medicine. These facets, delivered with a patient centered focus, are what I desire to provide for my patients in the future. The campus’s interest in delivering high quality
I believe that my academic strengths, leadership ability, and appreciation of those who are different from me make me a great candidate for the Jefferson scholarship.
