“Memories are a way of holding onto… The things you love, The things you are, The things you never want to lose. -Kevin Aronold Read on to take a step into my memories and ask yourself “What are some memories that I love? My 2nd birthday. There are silly blues clues decorations everywhere. There are polka dot balloons, sweet yummy cake, and big shiny presents. There is a camera pointed at my face. The faint sound of muffled talking goes through my head. I hear the sweet words of “Happy Birthday” several times. As I open my gifts, I hear the rustling of the slick wrapping paper. My nose picks up the scent of the smoke from the birthday candles. There is a silver digital camera pointing at my face. Out
All those years ago in Kindergarten when I was six I still remember. I remember the first sleepover at my cousin Eden’s house. I was pacing and wanted to be alone with her and her little sister. She, much larger than I, would comfort me by playing games with me. Now after all those years, I’d want to go over there all the time. Every weekend I was over there. I can remember what we did for fun, when we got our first phones. I miss my cousin.
The most vivid memory I recall is of the first trip I ever made to my happy place, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Nothing could ever compare to those 5 days of pure happiness, without a single worry in the world. I truly believe this one little trip shaped the way I want to live the rest of my life.
While reading I start to relive that night and opening my door to my boyfriend, hidden behind a giant teddy bear. That night we went out to my favorite restaurant, unfortunately, the waitress took almost an hour to come, but we were too enticed in each others company to mind. The second one is from my birthday; my friends and I ended up going to McDonald’s because our reservation to a high-end restaurant “disappeared”, ironically it became to be the best birthday I had. Both stories reminded me that some of my favorite memories are the imperfect moments in
This birthday had been wonderful. My friend Emily and I hiked up to a place called Griffith Observatory. I had heard that the view was amazing and you could see all of LA. I walked to a artsy concrete staircase where you could see the lively and bustling city in the background. From our point of view, the skyscraper buildings looked tiny and ant sized. The golden crisp sun had slightly set behind us and caused the sky to shift deep colors throughout the city. When the cotton candy like clouds drifted across the electric baby blue sky, I felt an overwhelming rush of pure happiness. The condensed and shrubby bushes in front of us were a shamrock green color, and looked as if they were full of life. I knew

My mom is so funny when we go sown to Florida. When she finds shark teeth she gets so happy.
So, most people have great memories right? Mine are marching band memories. Marching band started with my sister. My mom and my sister inspired me to do sports in the first place. It was either marching band or volleyball. Which I believe marching band was for the best. I'm working up to the things that my sister accomplished. My music has helped me develop my life, my values, and my goals.
Favorite memory as a child well the one I cherish is meeting my real mom for the first time. I may not have been the best towards her but in my defense she left me when I was 1. I remember sitting on her lap coloring with my little brother in a
“APPLES GET DOWN HERE LET’S GO!” Lollipop screamed from the ground, I quickly ran down the branches of my tree to meet her. Lollipop had led me to a place, but I didn't know where because she said it was a surprise for me, and by the way today… I turned 16! It’s cool, I know. I’m sort of exhausted from helping all these people though, but hopefully today will make up for it. The worst part of my day was that my own boyfriend forgot my birthday. A few hours later we were still
The last thing he saw was his own body laying on the road. He was like every other man in the world, he would wake up take a shower, get dressed, brush his teeth, eat breakfast, then head off to work, and repeat over and over. For now we’ll just call him “The photographer.” He works as a photographer for a magazine company. He got to work and looked for his boss, when he found him the boss said “Hey! There's my favorite Photographer! Hey! I need you to go take photos of eerie and creepy places for our Halloween edition, Halloween is only 2 days away!” So the Photographer got online and searched for old abandoned houses and for old cemeteries, While he was searching he found the perfect site to take pictures. It was the oldest house in the state, while he was looking at the picture of the house it was rumored to be haunted. He shook his head in disbelief. So he got directions to the house and it was 2 hours away, so he emailed his boss saying he would be gone for a while. He left his apartment and locked his door and walked out of the building. He drove to the nearest gas station to fuel up his car, while he was there he bought some snacks and supplies for the trip, he bought a bottle of water, a flashlight, batteries, and some potato chips. When he heard the ding of the gas pump indicating it was done he took the gas pump out of his car and started his car and headed off to the old house.

A few hours later we were still walking, she finally told me to stop.
When you look back and reminisce about your childhood, what are some of the best memories you have? Growing up, my brother Ryan and I were the best of friends. One of our favorite things to do together, was watch my favorite movie, Monster’s Inc. We would always make popcorn, grab a bunch of blankets, and cozy up on the couch- we had an unbreakable bond.
"Happy Birthday", my mom screamed out and scared me the morning of June 9. But it was surprising and nice of her since she wished me before anyone else. It was my eighteen birthday and it was my day. While looking out the big windows in my room, I thought to myself, I will do what satisfies me today, but wasn't quite sure what? I didn’t receive any calls from my friends, or other relatives. Nobody was home either besides my mom with whom I can’t make plans because she got her own work to do. It depressed me because it seemed like this was going to be one boring eighteen birthday.
I pressed my face into the cool glass of the machine, studying all of the colorful toys within. Suddenly, over all the chatter and clinking silverware, I heard a group of people flatly singing happy birthday. I immediately turned from the claw machine and ran for my table. I joined in as if I had been there the whole time, hoping my mom wouldn’t notice. When I was sure that she hadn’t, I resumed my plan. I put on my sweetest smile and walked over to where she sat. She was pulling half-melted candles off of her cake when I lightly tapped her shoulder.
The morning sunshine seeped through the cracks between my shutters, lighting up my room. I could hear the clock ticking and the rays of sunlight bouncing off of my eyelids. I barely got any sleep last night because I was ecstatic that tomorrow was, my birthday! I jumped up out of bed, how could I have forgotten that it was my birthday? Suddenly all of my drowsiness turned it into excitement and I jumped up, throwing the red gradient quilt off of my bed. I slowly walked out of my room, making very little noise, checking to see if anyone else was awake. I peeked through the intricate staircase railings and tried to spot anyone downstairs, no one was in sight. I tiptoed down the cream coloured stairs, reached the bottom and got startled when my mom yelled, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”, her voice bouncing off the walls of house. A grin so big spread across my face, I couldn’t believe I was turning four years old!
Beep Beep! Went the alarm clock as I struggled to roll over and cut it off.The start of the weirdest ¨day¨ of my life. Before I could even get myself together, I was hit with a smell that seemed like pancakes and bacon which use to be my favorite breakfast foods.I checked my phone to see that it was filled with happy birthday messages. After I ate, I started getting ready for school while dancing to my favorite songs.I tried to put lots of effort into my outfit since it was my birthday, so I wore my favorite pair of dark blue jeans that always looked good on me, then I put on a red blouse with my usual black converse shoes. While trying to do my hair, I heard my mom downstairs yelling ¨hurry up Emily you´re going to to be late¨! , So I quickly threw my hair into a bun and rushed to the car. When we pulled up to my high school, I got out and told my mom goodbye. From a distance, I could see my 3 best friends holding a bundle of balloons and gift bags.As I walked over to the bench, I had the biggest smile on my face.¨Happy birthday Emily¨ they all cheerfully told me.The four of us Kae, Oliva, megan and I have been there for each other since we were in the second grade. While rushing to class, I noticed lots of people said happy birthday to me on the way which made my day even more.
