My best friend Lollipop and I were skipping through the Enchanted Forest while eating the pink cotton candy that came from the trees. Screams started filling the air, it was cries of help, without hesitation we rushed over as quick as we could. When we reached the place where we had heard the screams from, we saw a turtle getting picked on by a rabbit. I thought to myself that the turtle could use an apple so when I gave the turtle the apple, Lollipop had given the rabbit a lollipop, they then stopped what they were doing and started being nice to each other, the turtle got really happy. That’s when Lollipop and I found out about our powers. My powers were to give them apples to make them happy again. Years had past, Lollipop and I are now teenagers, since we were little we have helped about two dozen people if not more, I lost track. Unlike Lollipop, I had a boyfriend for over two years now, it's pretty impressive if I do say so myself. Okay, I enjoy talking about myself and all, but let's continue. “APPLES GET DOWN HERE LET’S GO!” Lollipop screamed from the ground, I quickly ran down the branches of my tree to meet her. Lollipop had led me to a place, but I didn't know where because she said it was a surprise for me, and by the way today… I turned 16! It’s cool, I know. I’m sort of exhausted from helping all these people though, but hopefully today will make up for it. The worst part of my day was that my own boyfriend forgot my birthday. A few hours later we were still
The first time I used my powers was to save a cat in a person's yard getting attacked
This birthday had been wonderful. My friend Emily and I hiked up to a place called Griffith Observatory. I had heard that the view was amazing and you could see all of LA. I walked to a artsy concrete staircase where you could see the lively and bustling city in the background. From our point of view, the skyscraper buildings looked tiny and ant sized. The golden crisp sun had slightly set behind us and caused the sky to shift deep colors throughout the city. When the cotton candy like clouds drifted across the electric baby blue sky, I felt an overwhelming rush of pure happiness. The condensed and shrubby bushes in front of us were a shamrock green color, and looked as if they were full of life. I knew
We were having a great time with the birds in the air. Well we were joking I said ‘’Morning It just felt good , too good if you ask me”.So there I was, jogged with my sister. I first thought we brought my dog and I said ‘ She’s just a bother”, I wouldn't know what was about to happen, that I would need her dreadfully. Like I always am, I was in the front of my sister far in the distance until she yelled “stop when you crossed the street” I had to take Bella with me because I was too fast for the others and Bela had the same story and I said “ Ok comon bella we have to go go GO”. There we were jogging and crossing the street and out of nowhere Bam a red car coming fast toward us. I petrified in fear . I looked both ways like my mom always tells me but the street was curved. I froze in fear and just shacked but believe it or not she saved my life by pulling me to the sidewalk with her in that moment I felt like if someone’s love hit me in the face and it was bela. She pulled me to the
My lollipop moment was from a teacher in highschool who believed in me even when my own family didn't and I got to thank him for it at my highschool graduation. Throughout my entire life I have struggled drastically with school and had no idea why. My mom thought that it was because I wasn't trying hard enough. Sophomore year of highschool she tried to send me to summer school thinking it would push me to work harder the next year and earn better grades. Thankfully my teacher at the time Mr. Nava talked her out of it by explaining to her that I was trying my best but he thinks she should take me to get tested for a learning disability. That summer I was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADHD. After learning this about myself and getting put on the
It was originally a “Savory Seventeen,” but Clara didn’t have enough paper to fit the word “seventeen” on the banner, so she opted for “Savory Twelve.” When Clara invited me, Dakoury, Camilla Guo, and Andi Cheng to her birthday party, I was bogged down with homework. However, I lied to my parents and told them I didn’t have that much work to do, before I accepted the invitation. I didn’t want to regret or miss out on anything. The whole day was surreal, because that day differed the most from my regular routine. Dakoury, Camilla, Andi, and I boarded the train in Andover together, and we got off on Clara’s stop. We walked to her house, and were greeted by her high school friends as well as Kate Burba, a friend I hadn’t seen for two years. Kate hugged me and kissed me on the head as a way of greeting me.
Today was my sixteenth birthday, but no one seemed to notice. I spent all day slouching around school, in every class, and at home. I thought today would be different since
It was a regular day, but something felt different. I woke up brushed my teeth, washed my face, and ate some Captain Crunch Cereal, the best in the world. My mom walks in the kitchen and cries out “Jay you’re going to be late, get your things you need, so when the bus arrives you can run out the door”. I’m young
The year was 2016, and I was turning 16. In my mind I knew this would be a pivotal year for me. I had plans to obtain my driver’s license, and to gain independence. What I didn't know was that my life was going to be impacted drastically.
After school was over, me and my friends were walking home. I asked my parents if my friends can come over and hang out in my treehouse. My parents said yes, so I told my friends that they can come over. Me and my friends were hanging out in my tree house and one of my friends went into the forest to check out the view. Me and my friends were talking and then we heard a scream, me and my friends where wondering who it was, and then I realised it was my friend.
My phone’s alarm went off early in the morning; I let it play a little more as the alarm was my favorite song. Instead of being cranky by the alarm, I bumped to it. The birds chirped from all angles, the neighbor’s dogs barked at each other, while he was too busy mowing to lawn. But, I was in a terrific mood anyway. The blinds, slightly open, let bright sun rays hit my floor, while the A/C blasted. I slowly got up, and let out a loud yawn. Bones cracked at every single body joint. The pleasing aroma of coffee and the savoring smell of eggs filled up my nostrils. I put both feet down, and head to the pull-up bar where I hang on it for a few seconds, stretching out my spine. I turn my head toward the calendar to make sure today was the day. Indeed it was, reading the month of July with 2008 written in big, bold letters. Butterflies filled up my stomach with goosebumps everywhere.
July 12, 2016. Finally sixteen. I could finally get my drivers license. I could finally drive far away from my mother. I got a happy birthday greeting from Granny, Granny Joyce, Monty, and a few Facebook friends. Then I got a call from my sister. She wished me a happy birthday and told me my mom said happy birthday, too. I told her, “No thank you. I’ll see you Saturday, Sophia.” Then I hung up.
It was a sunny morning in California,it was also my 15th birthday.I got out of bed and did my morning routine. I opened my closet to chose what I should where today, I found a dress that was white until your stomach and then was purple with a flow free bottom.I matched some white flats with my dress and headed downstairs.I greeted my mom “Good morning mom.” I noticed that dad was nowhere near by. “Mom where's dad ?” “ Honey something urgent came up so your dad had to step out.How about we get some breakfast from dunkin.” I nodded my head so we stepped out the house. When we arrived I ordered a glazed donut, mom got herself a chocolate sprinkle donut and got dad a pumpkin spice donut. We finished up eating and headed home.
"Happy Birthday", my mom screamed out and scared me the morning of June 9. But it was surprising and nice of her since she wished me before anyone else. It was my eighteen birthday and it was my day. While looking out the big windows in my room, I thought to myself, I will do what satisfies me today, but wasn't quite sure what? I didn’t receive any calls from my friends, or other relatives. Nobody was home either besides my mom with whom I can’t make plans because she got her own work to do. It depressed me because it seemed like this was going to be one boring eighteen birthday.
After the party while we were cleaning up uncle Dave reminded me about the Book [when me and Hunter where about seven. My Mom and Dad, told us that when we tuned twelve we would open The Book of Secrets] she ran into our bedroom, in the closet she found a box, in the box was a lot of tissue paper and packing peanuts, she through that stuff aside and she took out the box that held the book and brought it back to the living room. We opened it together, and there it was that book that had cased all that commotion. Hunter opened it and papers after papers fell out. We each took one, my paper said……Dear Asher sorry about the trouble, but you and Hunter both have powers, yours are- Invisible, shipshape into anything, stop time, go forward in time, go back in time, super speed, super strong, teleport, go though anything, use fire, water, and air balls, and control the weak minded. LOVE, Dad and it said BE SAFE all over. WOW!
The morning sunshine seeped through the cracks between my shutters, lighting up my room. I could hear the clock ticking and the rays of sunlight bouncing off of my eyelids. I barely got any sleep last night because I was ecstatic that tomorrow was, my birthday! I jumped up out of bed, how could I have forgotten that it was my birthday? Suddenly all of my drowsiness turned it into excitement and I jumped up, throwing the red gradient quilt off of my bed. I slowly walked out of my room, making very little noise, checking to see if anyone else was awake. I peeked through the intricate staircase railings and tried to spot anyone downstairs, no one was in sight. I tiptoed down the cream coloured stairs, reached the bottom and got startled when my mom yelled, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”, her voice bouncing off the walls of house. A grin so big spread across my face, I couldn’t believe I was turning four years old!
