o Teacher to demonstrate and explain all important skills needed to perform a kick. o Teacher to explain and run through activities with whole class participation. Students in lines, with plenty of space.
1. developing good posture o Move students into line, using gymnasium floor markings and coloured cones (Diagram 1) o Teacher to lead discussion about students prior knowledge of kicks used in a multitude of different sports. o Lead discussion onto the safety procedures that need to be follow when performing kicks. o Allow students to follow along to feel the difference if kicking with good/bad posture. o Use the ‘puppet string’ example. o Remind to suck in stomach (tighten your core), tense gluteus, chin up (not out) and shoulders relaxed. This stance should become automatic

Put emphasis on pointed toes (dancing is neat and precise, not messy).
• Explain it is not the height or the velocity of a kick which makes it good, but how straight ones leg is, their posture and pointed toe. Flexibility is something that comes with practice and dedication.
• Teacher to demonstrate to each side and backwards (explain ‘the reach’ for balance), then whole class participation (Diagram 4).
Kicking activity;
• Separate the class into four groups using coloured cones. When each child is given a colour, eye contact must be made and one everyone has a colour they may move into the groups (Diagram 5).
• Using music as a motivator the students will then take turns in a straight line of four kicking forward to the rhythm down the gymnasium (Diagram 6).
• Once each child has taken a minimum of two turns, a new activity is introduced.
• Students will move down the gymnasium kicking forward, sideways, backwards and then switch the movement to the opposite leg. Teacher assistance/ guidance will be needed for this slightly more challenging task. Focus questions: o What type of sports use the skill
I have chosen to teach metin how to juggle a soccer ball as it is a closed skill and the results are predictable and consistent. Closed and self-paced skill as it is under the direct control of the athlete, making it an easier skill to teach over 7 days. Juggling a soccer ball is a gross motor skill as it involves large muscle groups such as the quadriceps and the hamstrings. It’s a serial movement as it in theory it has a beginning and end movement to each juggle making it a discrete skill, however it is also continuous in nature as the intention is to continue the movement for as long as possible
Set up class expectations using a whistle. Explain that when they hear a whistle sound, they stop practising and place the basketball between their legs. Practise this with students until successful. An overview
Each child will get 60 seconds each to be the leader so that every student would get a chance to be the leader. I will explain that the leader has to move around in different directions and not to perform hard traveling patterns for their partners. For safety persecutions I will make sure that they keep their distance from other groups so that they do not bump into another group. Any student who does not follow the rules would be taken out of the activity immediately and given an alternative assignment. At the end of the lesson I will tell the students that they did a great job and explain the importance of the lesson in a way that they could understand.
The purpose of our project was to give children something to engage in besides a bouncy house or zumba. However, our activity to a turn in a different direction. Before we taught the kids a step, we would show them what it would look and sound like when performed. Every time we did a quick step, the kids looked discouraged and would change their minds. The Captain, some teammates, and I realized that we need to show them that confidence is key. We
To better understand learning, the research and experimentation was conducted by a student. The purpose of this study was to examine a novice learner performing a skill, in which improvement, retention, consistency, adaptability and stages of learning would be tested. The individual chose juggling three beanbags for the skill to be learned. The subject had to learn how to juggle three beanbags at once using both hands. Practice was completed in one way to keep consistency; this included throwing small beanbags standing up in the same room. Hypothesis of the experimenter suggested greatest improvement of skill in the beginning to middle of testing. Learning would be accomplished. An increase in practice time and
During each of the lessons in the unit, the students are building onto their skills they have learned in the previous lesson. In lesson three the students worked in station, at one station students used flashcards made by myself to learn the terms and rules of soccer. Then in lesson four the students worked at stations again and used flash cards to learn the officiating singles that correlated with the rules learned in the previous lesson. Then in lesson five the students used their knowledge of the soccer rules and applied them to the soccer circle game. During each lesson the student is building upon their cognitive knowledge of the terms and rules of soccer then applying them in a game like setting. In lesson three the students learn
•Concentration on the range of FUNdamental sports skills, such as throwing, catching, jumping and running
All of the player’s attention is on the ball. The body is being balanced by the opposite arm to the kicking leg. The kicking leg is extended and the knee is flexing as the planted foot hits the ground. During this phase of the kick the knee extensors are contracting eccentrically. The hip flexors starts the next part of the kick when the thigh is swung forward and downward with a forward rotation of the lower leg and foot. The knee extensors contract to swing the leg and foot forward to kick the ball. When the knee of the kicking leg passes over the ball, it is extended and the foot is plantar flexed. The top of the foot will become exposed to the ball. At the end of the swing the hamstrings slow the leg eccentrically. Torque and moment arm play is needed in this movement. The longer the limb and shorter moment are, the higher the velocity will be
Lady Macbeth is one of the strongest female characters in the history of literature. Not only is she an equal to Macbeth, but she also originates in the early 17th century, when women had very few rights. I will be portraying her on April 13th and I hope to do the character justice. Here are some ways I am planning on reenacting her.
Forbidden love, hidden guilt, mischievous characters, and stringent religious beliefs are strong themes in the Puritan community. In The Scarlet Letter, Hester Prynne, a young wife restarts her life, without her older husband, in Boston. Eventually she falls in love with a man, and they conceive a child together. However since she’s already married the conception is labeled as Adultery. For her sin, Hester must wear a Scarlet Letter on her chest, for all to see that she is an Adulterer. In an unfortunate turn of events, her husband returns, determined to take revenge on her lover. Now she not only must keep her lover’s identity a secret, but her husband's identity as well.
With more practice the better you will get at the skill and the easier it will come to you. If the student is at the cognitive or even the associative stage they need practice to get to the automaticity stage. Another strategy is to give them hints on how to do the skill, with other people telling you how to do it helps you understand it more and eventually get it to the automaticity stage. The last strategy is that the student will be able to experiment the skills on their own, by that I mean trying different techniques to accomplish the task at hand. For example, while juggling have the students try different ways to start throwing the ball and catching them with different hands to see what feels more comfortable for them and what way you have the most
Parthenon and Pantheon Name University of the People Parthenon and Pantheon The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, it was built in 27 BC. It is the best preserved Ancient Roman monument, mostly because it has always been in use since it was built. The Pantheon dome is the one of the largest dome made mainly of unreinforced and is also the oldest standing domed structure in Rome. Many historians believe that Emperor Augustus right hand, Agrippa, built the first Pantheon in 27 BC, in the region on Augustus.
Breathe in, while slowly lifting your lower back, middle back and upper back off the floor. Gently roll in your shoulders. Touch your chest to your chin without bringing the chin down. Support your weight with your shoulders, arms and feet. Feel your buttocks firm up in this pose. Both your thighs should be parallel to each other and to the floor.
The sport that I have chosen is soccer. The three training methods that used in soccer are interval training, Plyometric and resistance training. Interval training would be used in soccer to improve the speed the players are running in a game or to boost endurance. Interval training is useful because it can help players with adapting to conditions. It has many benefits to a soccer player because it incorporates soccer-specific movements like jumping, side shuffles, tackling and quick forward and backwards bursts.
2) Group Work: When the instructor at front finish perform a series of movement, let students form a small group (three kids
