Personal Responsibility
Personal Responsibility is basically “We control our own actions” We have to take responsibility for what we do and we have to be able to respond to situations we get into with a high standard. Without taking personal responsibility we become untrustworthy, and we cant be counted on to take on challenges.
Ethics
Ethics is another important philosophy. It is mainly about morals and it is basically your “Right or Wrong” conduct. the point of ethics is to have good morals and to have a good standard as a human being.
Integrity
Integrity is one of the highest qualities you can have. It includes being honest, having a high moral standard & uprightness. If you have high integrity, people will trust you a lot more and never
Integrity is when you do the right thing, even when nobody's watching. “You working with a group cutting bushes in the woods when two of the men started to argue Joe looked up and saw the guy slapping angrily toward each other both raising their axes, and without thinking Joe jumped between the men ‘you give me your axe’ he demanded of one, then he turned to the other ‘and you give me your axe’. Joe took the axes and the fight was over.” (131) Joe showed integrity in that situation because he did the right thing, even if it meant potentially putting himself in danger, even when no one was watching.
Integrity itself is a term that can describe a person who is undivided in their moral principles. A person with integrity thinks, feels, and acts the same in all external circumstances. As a
Integrity is also very important. Having bad integrity could make you very non-trustworthy to others. Having good integrity would make you very trustworthy to others. Knowing how important they are, you should always have good or even better character, morals, and integrity.
Being responsible refers to our ability to make decisions that serve our own interests and the interests of others. We first need to be responsible for ourselves before we can be responsible for others. In learning to be more responsible it is important that we know our limitations. It does not matter how smart we are, there is only so much responsibility that one person can handle at any given time. It is also important to remember that we are not responsible for thing that are out of our control, for example, how other people think and feel or how they react to ourselves or others. Sharing responsibility for both success and failure can lead to increased responsibility to oneself and to others. When you
Integrity can be traced back through all of history. For example, Socrates, an ancient Greek philosopher, was shown displaying full confidence in himself, his actions, and his thoughts. He was able to achieve everything that he hoped to in life by educating his scholars and teaching a system of rational ethics. He spoke the truth and was confident in what he told others, for he would not spread false information. Even in his final moments, he was confident in his beliefs, theories, and his students, despite the amount of enemies he gained, people who challenged his ideas, and the threat of death.
Integrity is defined as following your moral or ethical convictions and doing the right thing in all circumstances, even if no one is watching you. Having integrity means you are true to yourself and would do nothing that demeans or dishonors you. When employees are asked what they want from leaders it is integrity. Qualities change across culture and time, but what people say they want most in American society is integrity. When people are asked to define integrity, the word they mention most frequently is honesty. The leader with integrity always tells the truth as he or she believes it to be. Think about the best leader you have ever had; she or he probably had integrity. First and foremost, people want a leader they can trust. Ask yourself whether you have a reputation for integrity. (Manning 6) Integrity can be broken down into sub components:
Integrity. To me, integrity is being honest to others and to yourself. It’s to have moral uprights. It’s the state of being whole. It’s a word used to describe someone’s level of honesty. No one is gets integrity once they are born. It is developed by good influences actions. Having integrity is doing the right thing is a trustful way. Someone who has integrity means they have a moral compass that leads them in the right direction. They follow their moral judgements and do good things under all circumstances, even if no one pays attention. They would do nothing that dishonors themselves.
Integrity is the basic foundation of trust. Integrity demonstrates that you have your own set of guiding principles and that you remain consistent with your guiding principles. Integrity shows that you can take responsibility for your own limitations and will take responsibility for you own mistakes. Individuals will be naturally driven to follow your lead if you are an example of intergity
Integrity can be defined as "an uncompromising adherence to a code of moral, artistic or other values, utter sincerity, honesty and candor, avoidance of deception, expediency, artificiality or shallowness of any kind" (Webster's 3rd New International Dictionary 1174). In simpler words this means to maintain high standards and follow the rules, even when no one is watching. Integrity is very important in our everyday life if we wish to be good people. The sad thing is that if you ask some people what integrity means to them they will probably tell you that it doesn't mean much and some may not even know what integrity is. Certain people feel that in order to get ahead in life they need to break certain rules. It is
What is integrity? Integrity is “the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness”. Why is it important for people to have integrity? When someone has integrity they are an honest person and you can trust them to always tell the truth. In school it is good to have integrity so your teachers can trust you as well. Also if you want to have friends who like you tell the truth because not a lot of people like people who lie all the time. Having integrity is very good thing to have and it can help you a lot in the future
A person of integrity does exactly what he says and says exactly what he means. There is no conflict between his thoughts and actions. His actions are consistent with the values he professes. According to Dr. William Manninger, A building without integrity may receive structural damage, or even collapse, in a storm. Similarly, people without integrity are blown about by the winds of misfortune and destroyed by catastrophes, for they lack the firmness, solidity, and strength of character to weather any storm. This means that integrity is one of the six essential qualities that are the key to success.
A person with integrity is humble – He is more concerned about what is right than about being right. He recognizes principle and puts it ahead of self.
Having integrity means doing the right thing when others are not looking. For example, when people are in the workplace, integrity plays a big role in their sucessfulness and character. It tests how trustworthy someone might be or resembles their work ethic. To gain the trust of a boss or employer, someone might have to use integrity to mirror their character or moral principles.
Integrity is how somebody lives their life. In this life we live, we face choices every day that only we can answer. We dictate how we run our own lives, and they way we run them defines us. Integrity is doing the right thing versus the wrong thing. People, if nothing else, can always have their pride, their integrity. It is something that means a lot to some people and then nothing to others. The ones who value their integrity highly are the good people in this world, and the opposite is true for those who do not value their integrity.
Personal responsibility is taking ownership of your thoughts and actions. To me, personal responsibility is having integrity. What I mean by this is being trustworthy, to do the right thing all the time. For example, plagiarizing work, if someone is trustworthy they will do their own work, rather than copy someone else's and turning that work in for a grade. If someone is to have integrity, they will also report any wrong doings that they are aware of. If you know of someone that is cheating or plagiarizing and you do not report the incident, you are just as much at fault as the other person. Above would be another example of what I believe personal responsibility means, doing the right thing even though it may not be the popular thing to do. Accountability is another trait of being personally responsible. Being accountable means not blaming others for your choices or lack of choices. If you choose not to complete an assignment it is your own fault and there is no one to blame but
