Is There a God?.. A big question that billions of people didn’t yet proved that’s it’s true or not, but we can search and find out if there is a real God or not .. Even if we don’t have much evidence that explain this answer, but we can find out the truth with a little bit of searching and thinking without judging about it. No one can tell you that you have to believe that God is here or not, even if you are not sure about it, you have to seek by yourself. The Bible said that there is people who saw the God, so there is some evidence that appear here, Jesus also said in the Bible "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you.”, so here Jesus want us to find out and to seek the truth which is …show more content…
what will be the difference between life and death also if God is not Existing .. we will not have hope .. we will not have hope for deliverance after death . We have to believe God, because he gave a faith he gave us hope to live, he sacrifices his life for us “even if the evidence for and against the existence of God were absolutely equal, the rational thing to do, I think, is to believe in Him” W.L.C
Can we experience the presence of Almighty God on a daily basis?
1. We have to experience God, and to take a knowledge about his sacrifices.
2. When we accept God, we also accept his redemptive sacrifices for us.
Maybe there is a lot of conflicts about the existing of God that let everyone not sure 100% about the availability of God, but let’s say that also there is a lot of evidence that make the availability of God something correct, we have to think about it, think about someone that sacrifices his pure soul to let us live and being alive. God is so lovely, he just want us to be with him and to follow him to gain the heaven.
In the other hand, there is a big opinion that state that God does not exist with us.
This is opinion state that God is useless, unnecessary, he didn’t provide the purpose to life and didn’t influence us every day. Also, there is a big group which is the Atheists that deny the existence of any Gods. They state that Faith is unreliable. The life is just material, not a supernatural life. No good reason is
One burning and enduring problem in philosophy to which we have given considerable examination is the question of the existence of God--the superlative being that philosophers have defined and dealt with for centuries. After reading the classic arguments of St. Anselm and St. Thomas Aquinas, the contentious assertions of Ernest Nagel, and the compelling eyewitness accounts of Julian of Norwich, I have been introduced to some of the most revered and referenced arguments for and against God's existence that have been put into text. All of them are well-thought and well-articulated arguments, but they have their holes. The question of God's true existence, therefore, is still not definitively answered and put to rest; the intensity of this
An agnostic would say that there is not enough evidence to make a decision and a skeptic would doubt that it can be proven with certainty. With all of these different views on the topic, there are two possible answers and only one can be correct. Either God exists, or he doesn’t.
The debate of the existence of God had been active since before the first philosopher has pondered the question. Anselm’s Ontological Argument was introduced during the 11th century and had stood deductively valid until the 18th century. Then there are the arguments to aim disprove God, such as the Argument from Evil.
The existence of God is like thinking we exist, something created us to exist so therefore
The existence and nature of God are topics that have been discussed amongst philosophers throughout time and has resulted in many different opinions of what God is truly like and if He exists as the greatest being in reality. Many different views of this argument are included in John Feinberg and Russ Shafer- Landau’s Reason and Responsibility: Readings in Some Basic Problems of Philosophy which helps to gain a broad perspective on the claims that notable philosophers have made. Specifically, there is The Ontological Argument, from Proslogion by Anselm of Canterbury in which he defends the existence of God using faith and reason. God exists and is so great that nothing greater can be even be thought of.
1. The Cosmological Argument for the existence of God is based on the principle of cause and effect. What this basically means is that the universe was the effect of a cause, which was God. One of the oldest and most well known advocates of the Cosmological Argument was Thomas Aquinas who outlines his argument for the existence of God in his article entitled The Five Ways. The first way in his argument is deals with motion. Aquinas says that in order for something to be in motion something had to move it because it is impossible for something to move without the presence of some sort of outside force upon it. Therefore the world around us, nature, and our very existence could not have been put into motion without the influence of the
The mystery of God's existence has been a crucial element of many religious studies and traditions. Who is God? What is God? Where is God? To effectively discuss the existence of God, it is necessary to illustrate the notion of faith. People of faith believe that God does exist, and that relationship with God gives meaning to their lives. Others who are skeptical point to God as an obsolete hope of an ignorant human race. People today live in a world distinguished by sophisticated technology in which modern science has been a strong agent in questioning the existence of God.
If a person can realize that God is the greatest thing, and nothing greater can be thought, than they simply believe that he would exist, even if they do not realize they believe in him.
Does God exist? That question has been asked by people for centuries. Christians, Jews, and Muslims would all say that God exists. They would claim that He is the creator of all things and is of a higher being than man is. Others would claim either that God does not exist or that God is not what the Christians, Jews, and Muslims say He is. Both Anselm and Aquinas address this question: Anselm in his "Proslogion" and Aquinas in his "Summa Theologica." The opinions of Anselm and Aquinas as to the nature of God are the same, although Anselm lacks the proof to back up his claims.
The question of God’s existence has been pondered by humans for centuries. There are an infinite number of different opinions, arguments, and ideas favoring for or against the idea of God. Personally, I strongly believe in God not only due to my religious affiliation, but also because of my own opinions, ideas, and experience. To begin with, the complexity of Earth and the life that has formed upon it cannot be based just on luck or chance. I believe that ultimately God, as a power, rather than a mystical being is the one created and controls the universe. Although the God and his authority are not entirely comprehensible by humans, it’s our faith as worshiper that eventually lead us to a greater understanding.
The existence of God is something that most people take for granted. In your upbringing you are taught that God is the most supreme being, the creator of all, infinite and eternal. Taking into account the type of society in which we live in and the fact that it is usually our parents who teach us about God, most people do not even question his existence. Many philosophers who believe in God have tried to prove his existence using many different types of argument. One of these arguments is the ontological argument. It was made famous by the 11th century philosopher Anselm. The ontological argument has three properties: 1. It is an a priori argument. 2. It treats existence as a property. 3. It is
However, to the point of God actually existing I am skeptical. Many people turn to the Bible to bring proof to the table of any doubters like myself. While the bible brings forth some interesting facts that we all would like to believe, it does not necessarily make them true. The bible is not evidence itself because it cannot be confirmed as it is thousands of years old. Who knows, it could have been mistaken to be a bible when it was really just a compilation of short stories over a long period of time. Another claim that tries to prove god is real, is Decartes 3rd Meditation which states; If we have a clear and distinct idea of god, than a cause must be as great as its effect this idea cannot come from an imperfect thing like myself. Therefore, God must exist.(Pojman128) This would be true if the first two points could not be challenged. I can simply deny ever having the idea of god, and no evidence is provided for the second idea it is just an assertion that we, apparently an imperfect thing can ever think of something that we are not, which is simply not true. Perfection is based on the eye of the beholder, we all have different ideas of perfection, whether it is great being of pureness, greatness or whatever the case may be. I also choose bring about Bertrand Russell’s argument that since God is all-loving, all-knowing, and
The belief in Gods has always existed throughout human’s recored history. Whether it be the Greek Gods: Apollo, and Zeus, or the Judeo-Christian God, believed by Christians in modern day society. The belief of God has always existed among humans, however, assuming God does not exist, what explains the cultural evolution of such a false belief, namely religion? I shall argue that the reason this false belief is successful is because it manipulates human nature better than any other belief by these three points: an avoidance of death (the soul), a sense of worth (knowledge), and a sense, or need of belief (faith).
If God exists, he wants people to believe in Him through faith (If A, then B).
The existence of God has been in question for as long as mankind has existed and thought logically. Many questions have plagued the human mind in regards to God, and there have been many arguments drawn with the hopes of proving the existence of a supreme being whom we know as God. The “God” question has been presented to every individual at some point in their lives. It is a topic that will bring forth never-ending questions and an equal amount of attempted answers. Many philosophers have formulated different rationales when examining the topic of God, some of which include how the word itself should be defined, what his role is in human existence, whether or not he loves us, and ultimately, if he even exists at all. Mankind cannot
