I’ve always loved children and helping to care for them, and the opportunity to be a teaching assistant in SMIC’s annual summer camp in 2013 was perfect for me. I’ve always loved babysitting, but actually being able to teach seemed fun and different. For two weeks of July, along with the teacher I was assigned to, I helped teach basic English to eight year-olds from local Chinese schools. Although they could be rowdy or annoying at times, I grew fond of these kids and they of me. I learned to be patient with these children and not get irritated at what I thought were simple words or phrases. I am still working with Microsoft Office 2013, I like this version of office. I work with Word and Excel daily at work. I have basic knowledge of PowerPoint. I have worked in other versions of Microsoft Office in the past. I find myself going back to Microsoft Office 2013. My job had a training course for all employees in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

With my twenty years of experience in Early Childhood Education, I’ve collaborated with teachers in developing and implementing ideas to support student’s academic performance. I performed student’s academic assessments. I complied and maintained daily logs based on student's level of progression. In addition, I logged in financial statements, received inventory items and organized inventory for distribution of class materials needed for instruction. Due to my advertising background and my multimedia degree, I am experienced with the use of Adobe Suite PC or Mac base and proficient in other equivalent software. It is necessary to be attentive to format requirements when producing a variety of advertising and marketing material. Examples of these has included graphic tutorials, PowerPoints to for GCSE work all supported by work sheets. Designed and built a variety of websites, sustaining their contents. Produce artwork for exhibition panels and literature to showcase departments. Take photographs and film of events to produce movies. Create a collection of material to be shown on the in-school TV’s to encourage enrichment activities.

As part of the degree requirements of the Bachelor of Arts in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs program, all CDA students must—before graduating—complete 500 hours of practicum work. To fulfill the graduation requirement for an internship, I was able to grab the opportunity to apply for an internship and use my academic training experience for three years to the workplace in the real world. My relevant qualifications include my pursuit of a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. I expect to graduate in December 2016. I currently hold a Work Study position for the Office of Veterans Affairs. In my current role, I assist veterans and their dependents with certification of educational benefits for veterans while maintaining educational enrollment information. I ensure student’s academic progress is in accordance with state and federal regulations and guidelines, to ensure compliance with the Veterans Affairs policies.

I believe my membership on DSAC will bring great value to Smith undergraduate experience. I have had a very non-traditional journey and matriculation into the Smith school. However, I believe that I have made a positive impact and created value for my peers in the during my time here. My background before business was in art, as I am a painter and designer. These traits have influenced my personalized passion for the business school greatly. My hopes for my career at the business school is to collaborate with fellow students to create change in Smith that will stand the test of time. My chosen profession is health information technology in the Kaplan University online course. I chose this as a career because I could use the skill later in the future to start a non-medical home care business agency as a long term goal after graduation. The objective of the Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology program is to prepare a person with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits to pursue an entry-level position in the health information management field. I also learnt that the curriculum is geared toward the ability to process, maintain, compile, and report health information data for patient care, reimbursement, facility planning, marketing, risk management, quality assessment, and research.

I would love to attend TARGET. Attending The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology would be an exhilarating opportunity for me to learn more about engineering and technology. I would like to familiarize them with career opportunities within engineering. Engineering and technology are part of everyday life. Math and science have permanently captured my interest since second grade. I am driven by discovery and innovation, TARGET is just right for me. I love hands-on activities, labs, and projects. The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology would allow me to explore my full potential. The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology is ideal for me because I am clever, determined, and creative. Therefore, I would love to attend TARGET.

On May 27, 2011, I sat in the crowd of thousands of people waiting to see the cheer from the football field. No, this wasn’t a professional football game, or even a college game. This was the graduation and commissioning of 1000 men and women from the United States Naval Academy. As the covers of all the former midshipmen went into the air, and the crowd went wild, I stood in awe, speechless. Even as an 11 year old boy, I knew that I wanted to be that young man standing on the ten yard line, in an immaculate white uniform, jumping up and down and hugging his buddy next to him. As I read stories and biographies of men like Marcus Luttrell and Chris Kyle, some of the most courageous men in the world, I realized my calling in life. I was to be an officer in the United States Navy.

Through my experiences I have become an empathetic, understanding, and a respectful person. My outlook at life is unconventional, liberal, benevolent, filled with curiosity, and a constant search for beauty in things around me. I am someone who is passionate about making a positive contribution to society. I also dedicate myself to everything and anything I find myself doing.

Kevin Hwang is a sophomore at the George Washington University, majoring in accounting, and working with ORA this semester. His interests are financial reporting and disclosure, market reseach, and government policy regulation. He is currently learning SAS programming and Bloomberg terminal to perform data analytics in assisting Trevor Tatum with upcoming projects. At the George Washington University, Kevin is a member of the Varsity soccer team, undergraduate consulting group, and a member of commercial real estate network group. He is extremely excited to intern at the DERA and looks forward to meeting everyone in the office.

I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to write my desired future based Master Program in Software Engineering. I feel that a higher education for Masters enable me to approach to the most recent technologies and to practice myself in a competitive environment and learn more skills in the field of Software Engineering.

Attending a young enterprise event in junior school inspired me to choose business studies for GCSE as I enjoyed the creativity and problem solving skills this event involved. Through my study of business at GCSE and A Level I have been encouraged to pick a degree related to this subject and I am enthusiastic to further my study of business. Management interests me in particular as it links all aspects of a business together. Expanding across a varied range of fields, effective management is a key tool behind the efficient running of a business which I am eager to be a part of.
