(Y/N) let out a small sigh as she looked around the living room. The Curtis house hold was so quite. Darry and Soda were at work, and Ponyboy was at school. She ran a hand through her hair, getting off of the couch. She looked over at the calendar, her eyes widening slightly. It was Darry's birthday! She bit down on her lip, maybe she could finally tell him how she felt today?
She hurried into the kitchen, getting out a bunch of ingredients to make him an amazing cake. She bit down on her lip, shaking her head. "I have no idea what the hell I am doing..." She muttered before going to work. She decided to make a coffee cake for him. She knew he loved coffee. She made chocolate and vanilla cake, coffee buttercream, and she made some simple

By the time they were done it was almost time for everyone to get home. She smiled slightly, writing him a little note. "Dearest Darrel Curtis, I know this is very subtle, but I just wanted to get this off my chest. I love you, and I hope you have an amazing birthday!" She wrote, folding the paper and coloring it in.
She walked back downstairs, turning off the lights and sitting in the kitchen with everyone else. When Darry, Soda, and Pony walked in they were really confused, usually everyone was over playing cards and watching T.V. by now. Darry went into the kitchen, turning on the light. "Happy Birthday!" Everyone shouted, making him jump. "Glory, don't do that to me!" He shouted, glaring at them. He realized what they had said, his eyes landing on the cake.
"Wait... what?" He asked, walking over to them. "Are you guys being serious?" He asked, looking around the room. "Of course we are! It's time for you to relax, old man!" She chuckled, walking over to him and hugging him. "Also, this is for you." She said, handing him the card. He read it, smiling slightly. "I love you too, especially since you threw me this party... you really didn't have to do this." He said softly, leaning down and kissing her forehead. "Aww, don't worry, it was a piece of
“’…I feel I’ve known you so many years.’ Because I like you,’ she said,’ and I don’t want anything from you. And because we know each other.’ ‘You make me feel very old and very much like a father.’… ’It’s been a long time since anyone cared enough to ask,’”
The presents from each other?” “Uh.. No? And may I help you?” “Do it! Do it now!”
“In the kitchen, he stirred the coals in the old Home Comfort wood range. The coffee in the black percolator on the side of the range was still hot. He had made it by lamplight before going out. He poured a mug of the strong brew and sipped it as he took a heavy cast iron skillet from a hook on the wall and placed it on the range top. He set the coffee down and dropped a tablespoon full of soft butter into the warming skillet and broke two eggs into it, lightly salted them and sipped his coffee until they began to whiten around the edge.”
This adventure of Taylor Darrington. It all started in the summer of 2014 she went to a cross country practice. She thought it was the worst thing ever! The day she went the coach informed everyone that they were going on a "long run"out in the desert sand. Being her first time running in a few years it was really hard and difficult. That day she decided not to run. The following year, her friends Mitchell and Macey invited her to go again, but she absolutely did not want to go. Although one day they finally convinced her to go, so she did, and she loved it. So she decided to start going every day she decided she wanted to run that school year. Her first race was crazy, she didn't realize how out of shape she was until she finished with a bad
Araene wiggled in her seat during school. Tomorrow would be her friend’s birthday and she wanted to give him a present. After class, when Ein strolled past her locker, Araene bounced up to him. “Hello!” She squealed. “ Tomorrow’s your birthday and I was totally like, ay Dios mío! I need a present for my best friend!” She paused and pulled out a sheet of notebook paper to write down what he wanted. Ein paused,
“Tizio’s grandmother invited me too. I thought I’d tag alone with you two unless you want to have Tizio take me. He’s at work and we have a couple of things to finish before I can leave.”
I walked over to her and said, “I’m sorry, Nancy,” and bent down to kiss her. “Our lips met, if at all, only for a millisecond. It was the world’s shortest kiss. I didn’t intend it that way, but it was all either of us could muster.” “You don’t mean it,” she said quietly, as I backed slowly away. And she was right, of course.”
Liesel noticed the upsetting look on his face. “Max, what’s wrong?” Liesel asked. Max sighed, “I just hard watching that happen.” Max put his head down. “Max.” Liesel hesitated, “Papa and Mama and everybody else died even Rudy, Max everyone is dead!” Liesel sobbed. Max wrapped his arms around her and said, “Liesel calm down, calm down Liesel.” He rubbed her back trying to calm her. When Liesel calmed down she looked up and said, “I’m glad you’re here Max I missed you so much.” Max looked at her and smiled, “We have each other now I’m here for you I promise Liesel I won’t leave

Everything was planned weeks in advance. Everyone knew what to do and where to stand. The lights were dimmed and the room grew increasingly silent. No one was in open view. The line of sights had been broken and everyone waited. Their hearts beginning to race as the seconds began to feel like minutes, minutes felt like hours. Your own heart felt like it was beating against your chest with a thousand forces. The sweat dripping from your brow. But none of this was from fear or pressure. It was excitement. Taking a breath that, to you, sounded like the groan as if someone just read the most boring speech and a random individual requested it to be read again because they had fallen asleep at part of it. Then it that’s when the true moment came. The sound of the tumblers of the door clicked and turned before stopping short. Metallic jingling was echoed through the wall as you assumed keys were being used to unlock it. The door opened in a normal fashion and in the next second the lights flicked on. This was your que to strike!!! “SURPRISE!!!” The sound of birthday horns and confetti bursts from everyone in hiding. The guest of honor undoubtedly shocked if not surprised so many people got into their room when the door was locked, but that info could wait till another time. Everyone got together and congratulated them on their wonderous day. Then that’s when it happened. “So what kind of cake did yall get?” The rooms festive cheers and

“Let it go boy,” my father chuckled loudly. “You had stopped my wife’s heart as soon as you mentioned those silk pajamas and started it up again by saying poolside, swimwear and stocked bar. She has the look of having a dry martini in hand and looking through sunglasses wearing a wide brimmed hat like a glamorous movie star. I see the look of concern in your eyes. We won’t take long talking to our neighbors so we can get on the

I am almost at a lost of words and confused. “But, my dear, I thought you would be thrilled to death. You never get a chance to go out, and this is a real affair, a wonderful one! I had an awful time getting a card. Everybody wants one. You’ll see all the most important people there.” Then
"A little conceited are we?" cracked a young brunette sitting in the seat in front of him, as she cleared the board. “Issachar!” She gasped, “Today is the first day of the festival of Gifts, I almost forgot! We’ll be late!”
