(Y/N) let out a small sigh as she looked around the living room. The Curtis house hold was so quite. Darry and Soda were at work, and Ponyboy was at school. She ran a hand through her hair, getting off of the couch. She looked over at the calendar, her eyes widening slightly. It was Darry's birthday! She bit down on her lip, maybe she could finally tell him how she felt today?

She hurried into the kitchen, getting out a bunch of ingredients to make him an amazing cake. She bit down on her lip, shaking her head. "I have no idea what the hell I am doing..." By the time they were done it was almost time for everyone to get home. She smiled slightly, writing him a little note. "Dearest Darrel Curtis, I know this is very subtle, but I just wanted to get this off my chest. I love you, and I hope you have an amazing birthday!" She wrote, folding the paper and coloring it in.

She walked back downstairs, turning off the lights and sitting in the kitchen with everyone else. When Darry, Soda, and Pony walked in they were really confused, usually everyone was over playing cards and watching T.V. by now. Darry went into the kitchen, turning on the light. "Happy Birthday!" Everyone shouted, making him jump. "Glory, don't do that to me!" He shouted, glaring at them. He realized what they had said, his eyes landing on the cake.

"Wait... what?" He asked, walking over to them. "Are you guys being serious?" He asked, looking around the room. "Of course we are! It's time for you to relax, old man!" She chuckled, walking over to him and hugging him. "Also, this is for you." She said, handing him the card. He read it, smiling slightly.
