Cyclone Tracy had a devastating effect on Darwin. Many, many buildings and houses were completely destroyed. Over 50 people were killed, and hundreds were left injured. Overall, 30 000 people were left homeless, the electricity failed, and there was not much food or fresh water available. Many thought that disease would break out. When Cyclone Tracy hit Darwin, they needed a lot of help to get everything under control again. Help was needed to rescue people, rebuild houses, fix services, bring fresh water and food, medical supplies, building materials, and clothing. Organisations that helped provide the supplies include: National Disasters Organisation, Darwin’s Emergency Service, RAAF, Qantas, TAA, Ansett Airways, RAF, RNZAF, US Airforce
It was about 4:00, on game day against Courtland, when I told the team we should probably start our pregame warmups. This consisted of everything that a normal high school baseball team does before a game. We started off by taking a jog to the flagpole on the centerfield fence, which is also where we stretched . The 1964 Atlantic hurricane season featured Hurricane Dora, the most recent landfalling hurricane along the First Coast of Florida. The season officially began on June 15, and lasted until November 30. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin. The season was slightly above average, with twelve total storms and six hurricanes. All of the hurricanes strengthened into major hurricanes, which had not occurred since 1930. The first system, an unnamed tropical storm, developed on June 2, almost two weeks before the official start of the season. Striking Florida on June 6, the storm brought localized flooding to portions of Cuba and the Southeastern United States, leaving about $1 million in damage. The next storm, also unnamed, developed near the end of July; it did not impact land.
Cyclone Debbie had a huge impact on thousands of people as many had to leave their homes and seek a safe shelter. It was believed that around 25,000 people had to get evacuated from low-lying Mackay. These residents were urged to seek shelter at Rockhampton. One of the biggest reasons why I would love to become part of the staff is that I enjoy helping people. If someone has a question that they ask in chat, I am always on top of messaging them. The people were not sure just how powerful the hurricane actually was because they did not have the modern technology that we have today. Category 5 hurricanes are the highest level of impact and size a hurricane can be; therefore they can be very catastrophic and one must prepare (especially when you live in Florida). There are many ways you can prepare efficiently for a hurricane, even if you can not accurately predict when, where, or how hard it will hit.

Federal: The federal responsibilities include the supervising of the local and state/territory, making sure that they do their job to help people get through the misfortune of a cyclone. They also have the task of quarantine, and hospitalizing the injured. In the case of a cyclone they would also have to manage the imports of supplies to the homeless, the Medicare and wellbeing of the people that were put through that ordeal.
There are some positive social impacts and some negative. A positive is that the people of some communities were brought closer together. Many people were affected socially because a huge amount of houses were torn apart and many of their memories were destroyed. About 30 people were reported injured due to the cyclone so some people’s families were worried about those people. Luckily no people were killed in the disaster so no one was upset about that.
People see tornadoes as a threat well let us see, an average of 800 tornadoes reported each year, leading to 80 deaths and 1,500 injuries and ripping a path up to 10-50 miles. Then tearing big buildings, and lifting vehicles hundreds of yards. They can also drive straw into trees, some tornadoes are invisible to see but most catch swirling dust or debris.
