In United States, parents should watch over their children and teach them how the life goes. If they don't teach well, their children will leave their parents and parents should correct that behavior of their children. Curfews is you cannot go out at 11:00 or more at night. Barbara Bey, author of “Should Communities Set Teen Curfews,” and the author of “Curfews: A National Debate,” take different sides to argue whether curfews are horrible or exact. In the magazine opinion piece “Should Communities Set Teen Curfews?” the author, Bey argues that curfews is necessary. Bey agrees when she writes, “Too many of today’s parents just don't want to be responsible for their children” (468). Basically, the author is saying when the children want to be ready for the school in the morning parents don't do anything just sleep because they don't want to be responsible for their children. I agree that parents don't want to be responsible for their children because parents think that children are wasting their time. As the writer puts it, “Teenager can't walk the dog or go for an early morning run during curfew hours” (475). In other words, the author believes that teenager can't walk with the dog outside in the morning. I am disagreeing that teenager can walk with the dog in the morning and after 10pm because it's not a big deal to do that. Additionally, 12the writer states “ the law requires everyone under the age of 17 to be home by 11:00p.m. on weekdays and midnight on weekends” (473). The author point is that under 17 can't go out at 12:00p.m. on weekdays and midnight. I agree that under 17 can't go out with their friends because if they do that they will fight or drink alcohol or other things. These are just few many reasons why the author think about curfews are
