The Federal Bureau of Investigation tried to convince the public that this event did not actually take place. The media and the Federal Bureau of Investigation provided coverage to prove their stance on the Sandy Hook shooting being a hoax. What better way to do that by staging a mass shooting at an elementary school committed by a mentally insane young man where 26 people supposedly lost their lives? Media sources and the Federal Bureau of Investigation want the general public to believe all the events surrounding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting are true. It distracts them and lures them into believing that the general public does not need guns. It lures them into wanting to give up their Second Amendment and one of their unalienable rights for an event that didn’t even take place. The government wants the public to be in a vulnerable and submissive state, and this event taking place just helped to move that plan
The Sandy Hook massacre also, described as one of the deadliest shooting in all U.S history. 20 children and 6 adults were killed on December of 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut. (Connecticut) This massacre was the earliest memory I could recall on gun violence, not just learning about it but also watching it unfold and be told on news outlets all over television and social media. The Sandy Hook massacre shaped my generation by creating a more debatable topic on gun control in the United States. Through the Sociological point of view, gun violence can be understood by the functionalism, conflict, and symbolic theoretical approach. While trying to understand such event with such theories, we begin to unfold how society has shifted and changed over time, how we as a society view gun violence today and what we have done to prevent such act to happen again.
this shooting was a hoax. They start out by addressing the emergency staff; saying that the
On December 14, 2012 Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School and started shooting. Before he even walked into the school he had already killed his mother Nancy Lanza. He shot her in the head and them left her home to go to Sandy Hook. That is how Adam Lanza’s day started and it got worse from there. Police don’t know what triggered the events that happened that day, but they do that he had a lot of mental diseases and he was also anorexic. Police do know that he planned the event out because he studied books about mass murders and played video games on school shootings. He didn’t plan what he was going to do when he walked inside Sandy Hook all he knew was that he was going to try and shoot someone. Adam Lanza acted alone in the

In the tragedy of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, shooter Adam Lanza murdered 20 children and 6 teachers. Some people look at this event as a terrible tragedy because it struck them emotionally that 20 children had died. Others look at this event as a tragedy because it is rare, one of kind freak accident that definitely does not happen every day, or even years. According to nces.ed.gov, the chance of a random shooting to occur at any elementary school in the U.S is 1 in 88,962, and the chance of any elementary school child getting killed is roughly 1 in 23 million. This is less than the chance of hitting a jackpot for an average lottery which is at 1 in 15 million. Wayne LaPierre, who is the National Rifle Association’s vice
Robbie Parker, accused of being a crisis actor, also broke down on camera while speaking at a press conference. Also, Gene Rosen cried on camera while explaining his story (Stuart). The theorists can make many claims, but they do not all hold true.
Not one person from Sandy Hook, Connecticut ever thought this sort of event would ever happen. On December 14, 2012, 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot twenty children and six adult staff members in a mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Before the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Lanza shot and killed his mother, Nancy Lanza, at his home in Newtown, Connecticut. After the shooting, Lanza successfully committed suicide before he was detained. Which left, the state, officials, and the entire country to question why Lanza would do such a horrible act of violence to innocent children and staff members of the school. Also, questioning the security of schools, and even our country. There are many conspiracies of the
While the nation mourned the tragedy of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in 2012, Jones spun vile theories about how the murders of 20 young children and six adults were actually an elaborate performance by the United States government. According to Jones, there was no Sandy Hook.
When parents dropped off their kids at Sandy Hook Elementary School they had no idea that they would never see their children ever again. On that day, Adam Lanza burst into the school that day killing 26 innocent people, 20 of which were children. None of those families had any idea that that day their lives would change forever. Sandy Hook Shooting has changed the way people lived and the way people sees the world.
“Shooting massacres” in school settings, a new phenomenon within the past 50 years, are extremely rare events. Over 23 years, 1990-2012, 215 fatal school shooting incidents resulted in 363 deaths, equivalent to 0.12% of national firearm homicides during that time period …… Among these, just three shooting rampages – Columbine High School, Virginia Tech University, and Sandy Hook Elementary School – accounted for 72 (53.3%) of these 135 deaths. The frequency of random/ rampage shooting incidents in schools has remained within the narrow range of 0 to 3 episodes per year.” (Shultz, et al., 2013, p. 84)
There has been an average of one school shooting every week in America since the Sandy Hook shooting. On the fourteenth of December, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, 20-year-old Adam Lanza not only killed his mother in her home, but also twenty children and six members of staff at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. This was to be the third deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The Huffington Post reports that as of 2014, there have been over 200 school shootings. These have resulted in at least 94 deaths and over 156 serious and minor injuries. And, with an issue as emotive and contentious as the murder of school children, the question has been frequently asked: why do school shootings happen?
The occurence of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting of December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut. The gunman, was 20-year-old Adam Lana, who first shot and killed his mother at their Newtown home. He then drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School where he fatally shot 20 children and 6 adult staff members. As first responders arrived, Lana committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. The shooting began at approximately 9:30 a.m. Sandy Hook was the deadliest mass shooting at a high school or grade school in U.S. history and the second-deadliest mass shooting by a single person in U.S. history, after the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre. This shooting yet again assured the nation that gun violence is still as big of a problem as it was back in the late 90’s when 27 teenagers got killed in another mass killing in Columbine, Colorado. We as a nation must stand up and oppose mass murdering because these actions are not only unjust but inhuman as well. The increase in gun violence can be decreased by, identifying the regions in the country where the most gun violence occurs and restricting their access to limiting or monitoring the availability of guns and ammunition.
Barack Obama as the rhetor, directed towards American people to pressure congress to pass new gun legislation in Connecticut, where the massacre took place. After the December 16, 2012 shooting at Newtown Connecticut, there has been a controversial debate among gun control. The National Rifle Association had fiercely lobbied congress to oppose any gun regulations. In this artifact, Obama spoke on behalf of the murders of twenty children and six adults killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School. During his speech, President Obama was hoping to build support among lawmakers for several gun control measures, such as universal background checks. The president has the parents’ support to lobby for gun legislation. In addition, Obama’s proposal to ban assault rifles and limiting high-ammunition guns; majority of Republicans oppose this proposal.
April 20, 1999, the date then will always leave a horrifying mental scar, this was possibly the worst day any kid could ever imagine. I was in tenth grade at the time and just like every other day I was acting up and talking to my friends. In third period around 11:20 A.M. an announcement comes over the loudspeakers blaring the message, “lockdown, lockdown, this is not a drill.” I panicked as well as most of the school did, I heard girls scream in fright and everyone rushing to get into a classroom. I had no idea what was going on at the time until I heard gunshots from two different guns and explosions scattering the school halls. I was scared for not only my life but all other students and teachers of Columbine High School.
The process by which the English Bible, as it is known to the English culture today, was compiled is an extraordinary thing to see. The Bible consists of two parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament. The process by which both Testaments were written and then canonized into one book transpired over a period of many years. Once the canonization of the Bible officially came to an end, it was translated into English. Since then, many versions of the modern Bible have been made. Since the individual books of the Bible became scattered as they were written, people set forth to preserve God’s Word by compiling them into one
