First, he killed his mother after taking her guns from her house, and then shot down the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Although, this was a very terrifying period, the teachers and staff handled it very well.

Sandy Hook elementary school had a shooting in December 14,2012 in Newtown. A 20 year old man name Adam Lanza shot 20 children ages between 6 to 7. He as well shoot six adult staff member with a bushmaster xm-15 handgun. They also believed he killed his mother before he went to the school wearing a black fatigues and a military vest.

The article “Scene clear after shots fired near Hinesville School” was a very interesting to read because I remember that happening that day. I remember getting an email that day from savannah technical college stating that there was a shooting at Waldo Pafford Elementary School and to stay on high alert because at the time the shooter was not caught yet. I was and still am glad that nobody was hurt during the shooting and that the children was and are safe. I was glad that the shooter was caught and arrested because that means that everybody was out of danger. Upon my arrival I observed the doors to the generator open and the lock still in place. There were no signs of forced entry are any marks that indicated a crime had occurred. I conducted an exterior and interior check of the school and there seem to be nothing out the ordinary or out of place that would indicate criminal mischief.

Student witnesses described the perpetrators dressed in black trench coats and masks that aimed their attacks at minorities and athletes before opening fire randomly. They rushed to the school and while searching through the halls for their son, their ears echoed with a gunshot from one of the classrooms. Following the gunshot, they rushed into the classroom and immediately disarmed and physically detained their son until police arrived. The only damages the son had caused, was a plate-sized hole in the ceiling. If the parents had gotten to the school even one minute later, their son could have been labeled as a murderer.
