The two career paths that I’m interested in are computer programming and graphic design. The reason why I choose computer programming as a career is because I’m interested in how programs work and how to make my own programs. From what I’ve seen, programming is very difficult because it takes a lot of trials and errors and thinking to get the expected results. However, the product afterwards is worth all the effort. The other career that I’m interested in is becoming a graphic designer because I like to draw and create my own images. If I were to choose a career, it would be one of these two. The company that I would be interested to work for as a computer programmer would be Saama Technology Inc. because they are pure data science solutions
With college around the corner, I have made plans on living out what I am best at as my career, but after some talking with friends and my family, I am uncertain of what it should be. Can I take a creative path and use my interest in drawing to create something new and original? Or should I expand my mathematical skills in designing new technology? Although I would love to do one of these occupations, it is rather difficult to decide on what my future will officially be.
My top three careers of interest are a Nurse Anesthetists, Phycologist or an Interior Designer. While learning about all three of these careers I could see myself doing each of them. A Nurse anesthetist interests me because I have always known I like the medical field, but have struggled to decide whether I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor; with this career, i get to do something in the middle. I also like it because it is not as much schooling as a doctor but still has the great pay. I also was really interested in being a Psychologist, when reading about this job and the skill sets it needs I feel like it would be a very good fit for me. The last job I found interesting and thought would be a lot of fun was an Interior Designer. This caught my interest because I love using my creative side.
Some responsibilities that you will have to cover include being involved in sales and marketing activities, develop annual business plans to reach the financial goals while meeting customer expectations, and implement services or programs and make changes to enhance resident satisfactory (Healthcare Administrator Job, 2013). Skills that must be applied are to communicate efficiently to other health professionals, must be motivated to lead a staff, and are responsible for finding creative solutions to administrative problems (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2012).
The job that I selected after doing my career choice paper is Craft and Fine Artists. I choose this profession because I love everything that has to do with art and it would be the best career to make me happy at what I do for a living. There are really good benefits to the job that really made me want to have this as a career.
As a college student, it is important to prepare for the future that one truly desires. Majoring in business administration offers a wide variety of career choices. The idea of becoming a business owner is a dream that many preserve. Another interesting career choice would be an administrative assistant. Because of the differences in salaries, benefits, and possible work schedules of owning a women’s boutique, and working as an administrative assistant, it’s obvious that the two lead opposite paths.
In this research I discovered many carrier options that best suited me and others that didn’t. Two career options that I am interested in are registered nurse and a substance abuse and behavioral counselor. Both of these career options require schooling and licenses. They also require a lot of work time and some may require around the clock care. The two career options I chose, I would both be helping take care of patients one I would help patients overcome their addiction and other I would be giving around the clock care. As of right now, I don’t know which one that is my favorite, I do know that these career options are something I’m interested in doing.
Many students are asked one specific question that a lot of them cannot answer which is what do they want to do after they graduate from college. My plan after I graduate from Southwest and U of M is to have two careers which are Recording Engineer and Radio Disc Jockey. I believe that both of these careers will be very enjoyable and fun. On the other hand, managing two careers might be challenging but knowing the right education, skills, and salaries will provide enough information to help me succeed in both fields.
Deciding on a career has been a challenge. My first career interest was to be a physical therapist. As a child I would look at my mother-nursing textbook was intrigued by the muscular and skeletal systems The most intriguing part was how muscles, tendons, and ligaments all work to attach themselves to our skeletal system to create motion. My second career interesteas in mass communications. After only one semester I realized that I had no real desire to pursue a career in this field. The around the same time I was offered a promotion as the evening manager at my part-time job. I quickly change my major to business administration In
Throughout your lifetime you will eventually have to decide on what career you want to begin your journey on. In the United States and around the world, many individuals will choose their career path very early in their lifetimes in order to attain the job position that they desire. With this being said, one must carefully plan and modify their lives to prepare for what the future withholds. For instance, in order for me to achieve my long time goals of becoming a software developer and/or a computer system analyst, then I would need to continue patiently walk along the bumpy path on my laborious, lengthy journey. Lastly, the following careers that I’ve set my eyes on will embark us onto a prolonged life excursion.
The three careers I chose were Fashion Writer, Information Security Analyst, and Software developer. A fashion writer is a writer who specializes in the area of fashion. For example, fashion magazines, online magazines, blogs, and advertisements. An Information Security Analyst is a protector of information systems. They focus on shielding company’s computer systems from cyberattacks and things of that nature. A software developer develops applications or develops the underlying systems needed to run devices that control networks. Based on the criteria given salary and passion are the most important factors for me when it comes to a career. However, passion is a slightly more important because as long as you love what you are doing, you will find happiness no. Which is why salary is rated 30 percent, while passion is rated 35 percent. Location is the next vital aspect, because depending on your location your salary can differ, which is why location is weighted 20 percent. How many hours you work a week is another career determining aspect. However, it is not the most important which is why I gave a score of 10 percent. Environment is the least important to be because if I have passion where I am working does not matter. Also, my choice of careers will automatically reflect on my working environment. This is why I rated environment five percent.
As a junior in highschool, I do not have an abundance of time left to come up with a strategy for my life after I graduate. After that life’s free ride is over and I will not have anyone to dictate what I do or where I go. I have spent most all of my school career searching for a adult career. I believe a viable choice for my profession; one that I have interests in, suits my desired lifestyle, education goals, and skills; is a job as a Physician Assistant.
an even bigger deal. To get to the dream job, certain requirements have to be met. Requirements such as what the job will have you doing, your responsibilities, and the available work environment. The two careers that I am interested in are structural engineer and veterinarian. There has always been a place in my heart for all animals, and the size of type doesn't matter. For both career schooling is manageable. Examining, communicating, and testing are important responsibilities and duties that both fields require. I talk a lot and am friendly to everyone, I could easily fulfill the communication part. The environment to work in is also notable. Working with lots of space available is preferred but not required. I like being outside better than inside, or at least having access to the great outdoors. Schooling, responsibilities and work environments will determine whether I should become a structural engineer or veterinarian.
Never once was there a doubt in my mind that I wasn’t going to college. But the question as to what career path do I want to pursue was always the hard part. When declaring my major, I had no idea that Michigan State had so many different options. My original major was pre-law, and then it was general management, now I’m leaning towards construction management. I watched “A Family That Preys” by Tyler Perry, and one of the characters was a construction manager. Like a child, watching this movie persuaded my decision to go into this field. I didn’t declare this as my first major because I was uneducated on the field, so I went with a major that I knew about. I am only in my second semester of college and I have changed my major twice. My
The match between the characteristics of individuals and their respective work environments, which is commonly termed as person–environment (P-E) fit, is one regarding the well-known subject areas in organizational behavior research as it relates to different notable outcomes in different phases of individuals’ work–life cycle. In the beginning of their career, individuals seek and choose those occupations which might be compatible with their self-concepts as well as their primary interests (Holland, 1985). Likewise, in the course of the employment search and selection processes, applicants choose between the available alternatives according to their perceived fit with certain jobs along with organizations (Cable & Judge, 1997). In the long term, individuals’ fit with different aspects of the work environment influences many attitudinal and behavior outcomes, ranging through job and career satisfaction to turnover goal and actual turnover behavior (O'Reilly, Chatman, & Caldwell, 1991).
as long as I can remember I have been interested in things like sketching drawing painting computers and anything to do with arts and crafts. I have always been interested in arts and crafts since I was a child. I used to sit and draw images and people in most of my free time. As I got older, and technology advanced I started finding ways to make my sketches and characters more detailed by use of computer applications. This is where my interest in the graphic design field first blossomed. I would spend hours upon hours trying new things and designing flyers and postcards. All the while, honing and sharpening my skills. It wasn't until my senior year in high school and entering college that I have found that there was a career which incorporates these things. I can actually get paid to do what I love. That career is graphic design. Graphic design was a good career path that same instantly like something that I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life but upon researching it I found even more reasons to pursue this career field. This is a job that never gets boring every day is something new flexible hours most of the time you're your own boss and have creative control over everything you do. Every day there's something new and
