The 4 common elements of communication are the sender, the message, the medium, and the receiver. The sender is the origin, whether it be an individual person or a group, of a message that is transmitted. The message is the information that is sent. It is best if a message is coherent, condensed with important information, and simple. The medium is the form the message is sent in, such as through telephone or text message. Finally, the receiver is the person or group that gets the message.

The 8 common influences on communication are past experiences, social influence, cultural influence, self-concept, physical and psychological needs, our interests, time, and values. Time, social influence, our interests, past experiences, values, and physical and psychological needs all influence how we perceive things. Time can affect how we see and react to situation; for example, whether you react positively or negatively to a situation can be determined by the time of day. Social influence can affect the way we communicate because social or peer pressures may cause us to alter our perceptions. When our interests are incorporated into conversations, this influences communication. Our interests can capture our attentions, as well as shape our perceptions. Past
This assignment will discuss two well known theories of effective communication. Firstly it will look at Michael Argyle (1972), the cycle of communication and then it will discuss Bruce Tuckman (1965) stages of communication.

Assignment 1.71.Communication changes us in many ways, for example, if you work an important or dangerous job. Employees need to be able to communicate in order to get the job done and safely. My father is a helicopter lineman and they need to communicate with the pilot as well as other linemen. Another example would be if you were in a relationship. In a relationship you have to communicate with one another for multiple reasons, such as, if something is bothering you, you need to tell the other person otherwise it’s going to start toaffect the relationship. Relationships tend to fail due to lack of communication. Communication is needed in our everyday lives to be productive and maintain a better lifestyle. If people were to stop communicating

Different social, professional and cultural contexts may affect relationships and the way people communicate due to of a lack of understanding or knowledge of one another’s background and culture. This could be through their race, religion, ethnicity or where they come from. Each one of these can have similar or very different ways to communicate. For example

Different backgrounds also affect how people perceive body language and tone of voice, but also how their confidence and self-esteem allow them to communicate too. Social status can also hinder communication, because people may not be able to read written communication, or be introduced to holding a conversation with someone.

The communication theory was proposed by S.F Scudder in the year 1980. It states that all living beings existing on the planet communicate although the way of communication is different. The universal law of the communication theory says that all living things, whether they’re plants, animals or human beings, communicate through sound, speech, visible changes, body movements, gestures or in the best way possible to make others aware of their thoughts, feelings, problems, happiness or any other information.
