As a child growing up, my parents harbored the idea of me becoming a surgeon, or a dentist. For as long as I could remember they’ve always told me that “life sciences were the only majors that would contrive a solid job”. As a result, I majored in biology, which led to a miserable freshman year. In due time, I began following my own path, and focused on what I wanted to achieve for myself. Not only did my passion for psychology grow stronger, but I didn’t perceive school as a way please my parents anymore. I learned that as a student in order to reach your true potential, and be successful with what you’re doing, you should be content doing what you love. Ultimately, changing my major to psychology allowed me to feel as if I had a purpose again. …show more content…
I believe I deserve it, because I don’t plan on just passing college, I intend to exceed. When I dream, I envision myself graduating with honors, receiving my Bachelors in Psychology, and pushing all limits aside to move forward, and receive my Masters, and Doctors. I believe I deserve this scholarship, because I know the value of dedication. Reaching my ultimate goal will not be unchallenging, but I am always ready to put forth the extra effort needed to accomplish not only my goals for myself, but to surpass the minimum requirements for each course I intend to enroll
I deserve this scholarship because I am hard working and it wouldn’t be a waste of money on some dumb teenager and because my parents don’t have a lot of money, but I also deserve it because I want to go to college to be a police officer and protect the american people, change how police officers are looked at and so I can serve justice to people who deserve
Waking up on a daily basis and making real of what i have to face is my motivation. Living with a family who neglected me and not getting help when I needed it the most are some reasons that have never stopped me achieving my goals in life. My father would punish my siblings and me by making us go days without eating. There were times were I was too weak to even go to school. On the other hand, extracurricular activities have always been a part of what made me feel like I had a family. Being part of a team means that people are there to support and encourage, even if a person has history with another. I believe I deserve this scholarship because I wake up everyday facing good or bad, negative or positive in the world. I am a high achieving
As a person, I work to be someone that can also help others become better versions of themselves. I believe that I should receive this scholarship
Throughout high school, I always envisioned myself majoring in International Business and achieving the highest degree in that field. But, this past year and a half, along with the tense political season made me realize my true passion for politics. After thinking about it restlessly, I decided that it majoring in Political Science would be the most interesting and beneficial for me and my future.
During the course of FCS 212 we were required to read three books regarding the growth and development of adolescence; Reviving Ophelia by Mary Pipher, Ph.D., Boys Adrift by Leonard Sax, M.D., Ph.D., and The Teenage Brain by Frances E. Jensen, M.D. with Amy Ellis Nutt. Each book was for a different audience because they’re all discussing different topics but they all discuss the growth and development of adolescences in our society.
I could tell you that I am awesome! I could tell you that I am unique and smart and that school is my entire life. But I am not going to go that route. What I will tell you is that it would mean a great deal to me, to receive this scholarship. I enjoy school so much, that I maxed out all of my financial aid; I’d say that there is some irony within that statement. To make a long, but interesting story short, I want to finish school and without more financial aid and a rich family to support me, I am out of luck. I believe that I can do so many things in my life with a bachelor’s degree! On top of that, it makes even more sense to get my bachelor’s degree before I attempt a master’s degree—I am dedicated, can you tell?
I deserve this scholarship, I am from a single parent household with the just my mom. I have four siblings. I am the middle child, so I don’t get all the attention in the household, I get the least. So everything that I have or want me must work harder than the other members in the house. Everyone in the household looks for me to make it to a four year college or university. Everyone wants me to be able to get enough scholarship, so that my mother doesn’t have to come out of pocket and pay money. Most of my mom’s income is for the bills, and food so she doesn’t have enough to give me income for college. Being from the single household, I couldn’t get involved in extracurricular activities, organization, and
In high school, students dream of getting a scholarship to go to the school of their choice. I truly feel that I deserve the scholarship because I have worked my hardest and done my absolute best to dedicate myself to my education. I've been through a lot personally within my family that has affected me immensely, but despite it all I was able to retreat to my strong mindset of putting my education first, even if that means before my problems.
“Hey, do you want to eat something? I am cooking tonight” my mom asked. I said, “no thanks mom, I will eat outside tonight and I might get a little late coming back home.”
Most people do not know what they want to do with their lives as high school students, some even as college students. I know a handful of people who have changed their majors at least twice in the first year of college. With that being said, imagine being an eight year old and having it all figured out. That was me. From the time I was in second grade, I knew what I wanted to do with my life, and it has not changed much since then. I want to save people—tiny people to be exact. I want to make a difference and keep families whole. I want to nurture premature newborns up to premium health; I aspire to be a neonatologist.
I think I deserve this scholarship because I'm hard working and want to better my future for me and my family. I'm a single mom and this scholarship would help me pay for college so I can start working in my career as soon as possible. I have been inspired to do hair cosmetology by so many things. I love cosmetology because I love making people feel better about themselves. I find it inspiring because so many people have problems with there confidence and when they get that hair cut, there nails done, and makeup it makes them feel like whole new people. I know from experience what it feels like to not fit it and with this scholarship I believe I can help changed lives.
I am a dedicated and loyal person who always follows through for people. People know me for my kindness and of how accepting I am. There is a lot of surprise when I let people know about my battles with chronic illnesses. When I was in the third grade, I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. This has made me a strong person who can bounce back from tough times. I keep nothing but a positive attitude, and, despite my obstacles, I'm grateful for everything I have. Sometimes I surprise myself with what I've accomplished, and it astounds me how wonderful life is even when I have no idea what it is like to be pain free. I am fighting, and I believe that shapes who I am in positive ways. So my high school GPA says I am not a great student, but I disagree. I am extremely passionate about
I believe I am deserving of this scholarship because I am an incredibly hard worker, and I plan to make the most out of the opportunity this scholarship will provide for me. My parents taught me that education is the most important thing in the world, and with a solid education and dedication anything is possible. I’ve known I wanted to go to college since I was a little girl, which is why I was so ecstatic to receive automatic admission into Texas A&M! My parents never wanted me to worry about money, so I could solely focus on my grades, which is why they have been saving money for my college tuition since I was born. Their savings allowed me to spend my time studying, volunteering, barrel racing, and being a member of my high school’s volleyball
In- depth Interview was conducted for the sake of problem identification at the of head office of Master Paints Private Limited. Since I was young, I loved to hang out with kids, and I liked to teach them and play or talk to them. I thought that their love for knowledge was amazing and it taught me to be more curious and to ask more questions. I felt nervous every time I was around them, but as time went, I got more and more comfortable around kids. I wanted to babysit them at first, so I took a course in Vancouver, Canada and I got a certificate with my friend!
