Nothing is more important to me than inspiring people. I strive to be able to have an impact on someone's life never knowing what they are going through, or how my simple gestures could affect them.
Music has affected me more than anything else. My passion for drums has taken my life down a path I love dearly. The intelligence I have gained through music has sculpted me mentally and physically into who I am today. This intelligence absorbed through hands on experience, sweat, and passion is unlike any other. This is because it does not come from a book, or a another teacher, but my heart. This was my freshman year in highschool, I was a avid trumpeter, and loved being in my high school's band. One day I happened to stumble upon a youtube video of The Blue Devils Drumline. I was enthralled. I could not believe the joy that filled me when I watched a video on my computer screen. I knew that one day I wanted to be the guy on the other side of the screen, inspiring others to do the same. I immediately ordered the a drum pad and a pair of sticks, and I never look back. Today I compose drumline music for two high schools in New Jersey. I have marched two years with an indoor drumline group where we travel around the east coast performing and finally end up in Dayton Ohio for one week for the WGI International Championships. The intelligence of hard work, and passion has been taught to me through this. No other activity, or book, or teacher could have given me this gift and it lets me say that I endured a “true education” during my highschool years.
