I always wanted to teach; a lot of my family members are professors I really enjoy sharing my experience with others. My background is in fine arts, graphic design, and digital media. I really wanted to be able to share my experience and knowledge with others. Whether it is their first design class or design is their major, It is great to be able to work with those types of students and to see them grow as artists and a lot of them end up choosing design as their profession. It has always been very rewarding to be able to work with students and to help them find out what it is that they are interested in and what they want to do in their life and help them to become professional artists and designers. I have a lot of experience working in the
I’ve spent the last thirteen years of my life enrolled in the Chelsea Public School System, with six years in elementary, three in middle, and 4 in high school. A different range of emotions hits me as I realise it has finally come to be the time in my life where I must think about how I’m going to spend the rest of my life. I have grown and learned very much from my experiences here at CHHS, but I really do think it’s time to move on. I now must learn how to be independent and live on my own, pay taxes and learn how to cook something other than microwave pizza(eventually). Despite everything tiny little voice screaming in my head about the unforeseeable future, I intend to make the best of my time here on Earth by pursuing a Masters Degree
The future is a series of unexpected chapters in our lives filled with new innovations and discoveries. As a student, it is absolutely breathtaking to grow up with newly advanced technology. Although growing up with these facilities are fascinating, there is more to value and understand in the vast field of technology. As a pupil in school, I am passionately interested in the world of IT and wish to gain more knowledge throughout my life in this field of success. To begin with, I had developed a deep interest in technology for my father had taught me fragments of his work over the past few years.
I aspire to improve the education system in impoverished and marginalized communities. Aside from my willingness to complete my Bachelor’s Degree, there are significant factors for my interest in transferring; one of them is the pursuit of knowledge. Continuing my studies at a four-year university will provide me the foundation and required tools to be shaped into the United States Ambassador and human rights advocate I seek to become. While I was born in California, at the age of seven, I had to move to Mexico with my family. The coming years arrived with challenges as I realized that I was not in California anymore.
The College of Literature, Science and the Arts attracts me for a variety of reasons. One of the most compelling reasons I would enroll in this college would be the strong initiatives that the college has taken in efforts to expand diversity, equity and inclusion. These are all qualities in which I thoroughly believe. Specifically the college has spoken upon the issue of diversity bringing up ideas that one may not necessarily believe or agree with. This to me is very important because dialogue is something that is necessary for our society to improve from the spot in which we find ourselves in now.
As a student, I’ve always had a passion for science. I’ve taken Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology, Physical Science, Physics, and even Psychology. Chemistry and Physics have been my favorites so far, so, consequently, my interest in Chemistry has led me to develop an interest in Pharmacy. I came across this program by having it recommended to me by a close friend. When I read the given information, I was immediately intrigued.
I have always been a pretty scholarly student when it came to my school classes. Not saying I am a perfect A+ student but I am very capable of handling rigorous assignments and be able to excel. Over the years I have noticed that I have two subjects that I have been more exceptional in comparison to the other subjects. The subjects particularly excel in are Math and Science.
To me, literature is the greatest means to express human imagination, evoke emotion or challenge an ideal; it is what inspires me, what drives me and is something that excites me to a profound degree. It is because of this that English literature is something I am determined to devote my life to. I am not simply satisfied from the reading of a text; I must answer questions about why it was written and what it means. I have subsequently developed analytical skills when reading a text that has allowed me to answer some of these questions and identify subtleties of the text and its characters. I hope to further develop these skills and pursue my passion for literature at university.
a) When coming to a large campus many students struggle to find their “home” on campus, however I can say that I have most certainly found a home within AWA. Being involved in this student organization has given me opportunities to not only serve my community, and build professional skills but has allowed me to find my home on campus. Here, I have gained friendships that will last a lifetime and has allowed me to be surrounded by accomplished young women who all share one common goal. I especially appreciate the three pillars, service, professional, and social, as they allow me to gain a wide variety of attributes here on campus. From attending networking dinners, etiquette workshops, or sister bonding activities I truly feel like I am gaining
As a black woman, education is the significant aspect of life. Both of my parents, coming from less privileged homes, pushed my sisters and I to achieve superiority, whether that meant in academics or on the field. This consistent expectation of prominence aided my educational career, subsequently allowing me to graduate high school as summa cum laude with a 4.065 overall GPA and earning me a coveted spot in a renowned private university. Within my last two years at college, I not only achieved high GPAs but I also managed to work multiple jobs, join a sorority, have two majors, a minor and a concentration and also continued to volunteer around my community. While last year was fairly difficult, as I discovered I was going blind in one eye
As a high school junior, I was already aspiring to major in Physics and double major in Economics. Even though it turned out more arduous than I imagined, I doubled my efforts and planned my courses efficiently to keep up with the workload. Specifically, I knew the advanced classes would be challenging, so I fulfilled all my requirements by my sophomore year. I didn’t fail to come on top of my classes since I was involved and fascinated by all of them. At the same time, I wanted to gain some work experience, so I started working from my first year as a technician in the Physics department.
I am a man of many talents: however, the one I prefer and that differentiates me from the majority of the students in my school is my capacity to be superb in academics. Ever since I was young, I have demonstrated that I am part of the select number of students that stand at the top of the food chain when regarding academic ability. No matter what topic, whether it be English, Math, History, or Science, I normally have absolutely no problem showing my intellectual superiority, which I think is something I genetically acquired from both of my parents. Both my mother and father have professional degrees in their respective fields, and their drive and commitment to their duties has motivated me to be as successful as they have been to continue
One of the most important days of my life happened in May 2017. This was the day that I graduated from college. This day was and is amazing to me because I am the first person in my immediate family to go to college and actually finish. The joy on my family’s face when I walked across that stage, made my heart glad. When I completed high school I took the, what I would call, easy route and went to Cosmetology school.
My passion lies in social studies and math. I believe the historic events help us learn from the past, provide a clearer view for present, and predict the future. I love math, because it is a tool and pathway to many fields such as the financial world. However, I understand that the skills of writing and presenting information are also essential for a person to succeed in a highly competitive world. I am applying this program as an opportunity to develop my skills.
If someone asked me where I am going to be in ten years, this would be my answer. I will have a great, high-paying job, and beautiful wife and family, and a nice sports car parked in front of my lovely house. When I look into the future, I see myself being successful and happy. Even though I always pictured myself this way, I never worried too much about how I would get there. I feel the Suffolk University can lay the groundwork for making these dreams into reality.
When people think about what they have inherited from their parents the first thing they think about is physical features, curly hair or a similar shaped nose, but I’ve inherited a lot more: a passion for learning, an unquenchable curiosity and dedication to hard work, all of which has served me well throughout my academic career, influencing my early fascination of the workings of life. I discovered that the human body is outstanding and is not just limited to one system. My love of science is one of my many reasons for choosing this degree. I appreciate a challenge especially towards a rewarding objective, for example helping someone achieve their optimum health and although I am aware of the hardship that can be involved in this career, I am also aware of the rewards that can be received, highlighted by many professionals I have spoken to on a personal level
