The College of Literature, Science and the Arts attracts me for a variety of reasons. One of the most compelling reasons I would enroll in this college would be the strong initiatives that the college has taken in efforts to expand diversity, equity and inclusion. These are all qualities in which I thoroughly believe. Specifically the college has spoken upon the issue of diversity bringing up ideas that one may not necessarily believe or agree with. This to me is very important because dialogue is something that is necessary for our society to improve from the spot in which we find ourselves in now. Right now the entire country has become so polarized there is almost no conversation between the conservative side and the liberal side. The College
I’ve spent the last thirteen years of my life enrolled in the Chelsea Public School System, with six years in elementary, three in middle, and 4 in high school. A different range of emotions hits me as I realise it has finally come to be the time in my life where I must think about how I’m going to spend the rest of my life. I have grown and learned very much from my experiences here at CHHS, but I really do think it’s time to move on. I now must learn how to be independent and live on my own, pay taxes and learn how to cook something other than microwave pizza(eventually). Despite everything tiny little voice screaming in my head about the unforeseeable future, I intend to make the best of my time here on Earth by pursuing a Masters Degree
One of the major ideals of my life so far is cultivating hobbies that relate to multiple facets of art. Art is a broad subject and my interests lay with all subsets of art. An example is knitting. Although I have just learned how to do so during the summer, I plan to master the art and solely dress upon my creations. I am also an avid lover of knowledge and so I read erratically, both electronic and physical books and articles.
Goals come in all shapes and sizes because each and every person has different achievements they’d like to reach for. I am unique and have a set of aspirations from as simple as reading at least thirty minutes a day to as vast as changing the way the world sees people. The next twelve years of my life will be dedicated to my education and to my community. The way I perceive humanity is that everyone has something they need to talk about, but due to lack of self-esteem and confidence they choose not to speak. As a citizen in my community I feel that I have a voice and it’s a deep desire to help others.
As a student, I’ve always had a passion for science. I’ve taken Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology, Physical Science, Physics, and even Psychology. Chemistry and Physics have been my favorites so far, so, consequently, my interest in Chemistry has led me to develop an interest in Pharmacy. I came across this program by having it recommended to me by a close friend. When I read the given information, I was immediately intrigued.
Although I do not have career experience in the public policy field yet, I have strong convictions that I would be an excellent fit in either LSE’s Philosophy and Public Policy or Public Policy and Administration programs. My drive to study policy comes from my desire to give back to a society that provided me with a great deal of privilege and opportunity. Growing up, I was lucky enough to have people around me who encouraged me to go to school and could help pave the way financially. Even though all my schooling past the age of 14 was through the public education system, I still feel that I received an education of the highest quality. Therefore, the best way I can think to give back is to help advance and evolve society into something that will continue empowering the generations that follow me.
Being a Graduate in Electronics and communication Engineering, I switched my career towards Computer Science after realizing my extensive interest and enthusiasm towards the Software Development. My Dedication towards education helped me to be a consistent Topper in Academics throughout my educational career. I started ample number of Innovative Events In my Graduation College. My strength in Mathematics made me an expert in Quantitative Aptitude. I helping my peers in clearing their Backlogs, and also helped them understand complex Quantitative ability techniques.
I am a man of many talents: however, the one I prefer and that differentiates me from the majority of the students in my school is my capacity to be superb in academics. Ever since I was young, I have demonstrated that I am part of the select number of students that stand at the top of the food chain when regarding academic ability. No matter what topic, whether it be English, Math, History, or Science, I normally have absolutely no problem showing my intellectual superiority, which I think is something I genetically acquired from both of my parents. Both my mother and father have professional degrees in their respective fields, and their drive and commitment to their duties has motivated me to be as successful as they have been to continue
I am a very passionate student when it comes to learning and I always attempt to give more than what is asked for within assignments because it helps me learn and retain more information. I have always seeked challenging courses in school because they provide me with the chance to acquire a vast amount of new knowledge; I have earned A’s in all of the high school and college courses that I have taken. I constantly pursue distinct opportunities that are offered and that could increase my skills and knowledge in the field that I intend to be a part of. This summer, I had the opportunity to take a few college classes at a notably rapid pace and, nevertheless, obtained high scores in all of them. I aspire to attend a college of Pharmacy and eventually
The field of mathematics demands practicality and a thorough mind-set of logic; this same comprehension is well matched in many corresponding fields such as accounting, economics and finance. I know that, with the understanding of the integration of these subjects, I will be fully determined to pursue a career in the world of finance. This is just one of many components that fascinates me, when I think of studying accountancy and finance. In the past I have studied science and mathematics which I excelled in during high school.
When I was in grade school, I didn’t take my grades seriously. I didn’t realize my potential until one day when my mom sat me down told me that there was no reason for me to come home with Cs. That hit me hard and created a new motivation to go to school. It gave my education a richer value. I have since worked everyday to push myself to get the highest grades that I am capable of achieving and proving to myself that I am capable of getting As.
By attending BYU I would have a positive impact due to my several experiences, talents, and skills. Throughout my high school experience I have not been the person that has taken every AP class, but I have chosen to take as many honors classes as I can to challenge myself, and see how capable I am. This would continue in my college classes to push myself toward harder classes and give it all I have. I have also made it a priority to both turn in my homework on time always, and to seek help from teachers to fully understand concepts rather than just memorizing them to get a good grade on the test. A skill that I have concerning school is the ability to lead and create clubs/groups.
Thank you for the amazing opportunities this past summer! I have improved so many skills that I could not this past year in my normal class. I feel completely comfortable with my stoichiometric calculations and I developed more confidence in my actions in the lab. I made multiple mistakes along the way, but I can say that I learned from each one of them, and it will make me better in future labs. I loved working in the box, and I hope my ligands will be useful in the future.
I have been in college for four years and I am exceeding my financial aid. I have three semesters left and I am trying to avoid taking out loans for the remaining semesters. My parents will not be able to provide the funds for school due to insufficient funds. I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in science with majoring in computer information technology. When I graduate, I plan to attend graduate school to earn a Master’s degree in cybersecurity.
Math has always been by my side since I was in elementary school. Being able to help my teachers during the math part of the class by helping other students was a great feeling. When I entered middle school, I was still succeeding in my math classes and some students would still come to me for help. Having to struggle between the peers that came to me had me set up my patience into a whole new level. In high school, math just became the subject that I wanted to keep learning after I graduate.
Languages and cultures inspire me. Wellesley has become my first choice because nowhere else in the country have I found a college that pushes for every student to become enveloped in the world around them. The study abroad program (Wellesley 100: #44) isn’t limited to one or two countries, and since I’m currently studying Spanish, Portuguese, and ASL (and hoping to study Russian, Japanese, and German), the possibility that I could become a world traveler while I’m still in college is mind boggling. I can eat the food, meet the people, and speak the language in dozens of countries. Since I plan on working in the international publishing industry (in editing or translation as well as marketing), internships abroad offer more than in the US,
