When the college application process started there weren't any schools that I was necessarily interested in. In my eyes no matter where I decided to attend, I would be getting an education but that mindset of mine quickly changed after visiting and learning more about Lasell. I knew immediately when I stepped on campus that this is where I needed to be for the next 4 years of my life.
One thing I was certain about when I started looking into colleges is that I wanted to attend a small school so a student teacher connection could be created between me and my future professors. My current high school is very small, around 400 students, and I enjoy being in a learning environment that I feel comfortable in. Instead of being one student out of 300 in a single class, I would want to be a face that teachers knew, and Lasell offers just that.

Not only do I enjoy meeting new people and playing, but I have also learned many lessons through the game. Being a student athlete has taught me the importance of responsibility and reliability which are two very important traits to have when representing a school.
The transition from high school to college is going to be tough, but i'm ready for a challenge and to further my education at Lasell
Lees-McRae is a good fit for me because out of all the colleges I have researched, Lees-McRae feels like home. When I first found the college's website, I instantly knew that Lees-McRae encompasses all the values that I think are crucial. Just from the website alone I found a sense of family and coming from a close-knit family of four, I treasure that above anything else. Also, I fell in love with the idea of community. I feel it is important to cherish and be a part of an open community, which I have noticed Lees-McRae provides for all of its students. If I were to attend Lees-McRae I would be active in the community and feel safe inside the family atmosphere. Not to mention, I would thrive in the athletic aspects of the college, the passion
I have 3 main reasons, which I will thoroughly explain throughout my essay, why I believe LaSalle is the perfect fit for me. Academics One of the biggest reasons I would love to attend LaSalle is the academics. LaSalle’s academics are proven to be one of the best in Philadelphia area.
One thing I needed in my college of choice was that it had to be small because I knew I would be able to focus better. My first choice, Towson University, was a large school and all my friends currently go there, but God, and my perspicacious mother, clearly knew I should not go there because of the countless distractions that would have hindered my success. The small atmosphere of Catawba enabled them to have a family style relationship all around campus. I am used to this family style because it reminded me of my high school. Another reason I chose to enroll at Catawba was because of its six hour distance away from my home known as the DMV, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, area. I have been in that area all my life and living somewhere else for I think would be greatly beneficial to my development as a person and would broaden my perspective. The other aspect of moving away from where you have been all your life is that you have to leave behind all your family and friends and that is one of the hardest parts. However, you will have a newfound appreciation for them that

My father, throughout my entire life has talked about his college experiences at Randolph Macon. The numerous experiences he talked about whether it would be about campus life, the great community in Ashland, VA, or the times he spent on the football field. Randolph Macon would provide me with the exact skills I would need to become a great success in the future because, the college would give me the liberal arts education that can give me a general idea of all careers that are open to me, Randolph Macon has such a diverse population of students I would be able to interact with different people that you wouldn’t normally meet, and Randolph Macon provides programs to help students know exactly what they need to get through college.
I have attended my current school, City Honors in Buffalo, NY, since the 7th grade. While I cherish the education and experiences I gained during my six years there, my graduating class is very small and I feel ready to move forward, grow and utilize new opportunities. When I started my college search, I knew I wanted to attend a large, diverse university with strong academics and an energetic and enthusiastic setting.
Going to Louisiana Tech would mean a whole lot to me. Louisiana Tech got the be engineering program. I also feel like it’s a great school for me to attend. I see myself going here would help me out a lot with education and skills to become a successful engineer. Louisiana Tech will make a big step in my life when I’m done with my major.
I could be considered a hidden figure because I am a multi-faceted individual. I have a passion for learning and recalling information. For example, I have been the team captain for my Black History Quiz Bowl team which competes for 6-8 hours, Jeopardy style against other schools. I initiate contact with my school advisers and study groups outside of school hours. Other academic talents include continuous A-Honor Roll, scoring 5/5 in every subject for the state End of Grade testing. I was selected as the highest academic achiever in the 4th grade, thereby receiving honors and recognition at the UNC and Duke Football game as “All Star Achiever.” My next hidden talent surfaced as I attended an amazing summer camp at Clemson University. I built
Loma Linda really cares about their students and wants them to succeed. The CLS program has a 100% graduation rate and 98% employment rate over the past 3 years which encourages me that I will be able to finish the program. To some students this might be seen as a reason to slack off once accepted but to me it makes me believe the school will stimulate all students to work harder and be able to really be able to understand all the information needed for future success in this career. There is a lot of coursework and the demands on the students is very high. This does not intimidate me because I am up to the task of working hard and keeping up with all the demands that they will have for me. It eases my worry when I consistently hear about the
Some people believe that the only outcome from a sport is a win or a lose.(16) I believe that when you have a true love for sports, as I do, an athlete can walk away with so much more.(23) Being a student athlete is something I pride myself in accomplishing through my four years of high school.(18) I have been involved in many sports and/or activities in my community that have benefited me and helped me achieve my goal of receiving a degree in Elementary Education or Speech Pathology.(31) After high school I plan on attending Oakland University to pursue this degree.(13) Being a varsity athlete for so many years has helped me develop leadership qualities that will help me pursue my degree in Elementary Education or Speech and Language Pathology. (29)Athletics have been very influential for my family with the love and support we give each other on and off the field.(22)
As a child, my family planned a yearly trip to the city of La Crosse. I fell in love with the beautiful bluffs and historic architecture. As soon as I entered high school, I began to think about colleges. UW- La Crosse was first on my list. My appreciation for nature and diversity sold me on the campus. I look forward to an opportunity to spend my college years in such a beautiful environment.
When looking at prospective colleges, I not only sought those with prestigious academic records, but I also looked at the environment and the ambiance of the schools. I loved that UAB was such a beautiful college campus right in the middle of city. I knew that attending an urban college would be a unique experience that I would not be able to receive many other places. I also noticed that UAB was experiencing a period of rich growth. I could feel the excitement in the air and could not pass up an opportunity to be apart of
I am applying in to Wagner College as a student athlete. People say it's great opportunity and your so lucky but it's not always fun, and this is what people don't see. They don't understand the pain of losing, undertaking an athletes role is no easy match, as an athlete I know the feeling of failure and I honestly says I struggle to deal with it.
Being a student athlete has not only helped me develop as a hard-working student and teammate, but also as an individual. Maintaining a busy schedule with the stress of school along with sports, work, and volunteer work has kept me on edge and constantly on my feet. It hasn’t always been easy balancing everything in my life, but it has been worth every struggle and success. My freshman year of high school, I was friends with a lot of girls who didn’t share the same interests as me.
First off I just wanted to say thank you for taking your time to watch me play this club season. This year I will be a junior at Reservoir high school. We just finished up with high school tryouts last week and my approach jump now reaches 10 feet, which is really exciting for me. Freshman year I made JV even though it was my first time ever playing the sport. The varsity coach pulled me up that year for playoffs and at our end of the year banquet I was awarded with most improved. Last year I got the opportunity to hold most blocks in the county. This year my coach thinks I will be playing as an outside hitter instead of middle which is really exciting. Outside of volleyball I really enjoy making art unfortunately I won’t be able to take that
