Goals come in all shapes and sizes because each and every person has different achievements they’d like to reach for. I am unique and have a set of aspirations from as simple as reading at least thirty minutes a day to as vast as changing the way the world sees people. The next twelve years of my life will be dedicated to my education and to my community. The way I perceive humanity is that everyone has something they need to talk about, but due to lack of self-esteem and confidence they choose not to speak. As a citizen in my community I feel that I have a voice and it’s a deep desire to help others. By the time I am thirty I expect to be a pediatric psychiatrist, helping children realize they mean something, because like my favorite musical Matilda says “Even if you’re little you can do a lot, you mustn’t let a little thing like ‘little’ stop you.” I …show more content…
I am someone who would put others before herself and will continue to do so. I volunteer in my community on a daily basis, and the skills I learn from volunteering will prepare me for the mighty “real” world out there. The strong speakers, outgoing people, and intelligent individuals in my life have enlightened me to be “myself”, even when I feel judged. Psychology studies the way our brains are wired; if we were all perfect, we would be robots. This is why I have chosen to study the human mind and how it processes information. Studies are a high priority for me; in order to reach my goal to become a Pediatric Psychiatrist, I will focus on my undergraduate degree for four years, then attend medical school, complete a residency and start my career. As I know the next twelve years will not be easy, but challenges have never scared me… in fact, I believe challenges fear me. College is a road to success; full of real life situations, and providing experience to prepare students for a brighter
I’ve always been the type of person to always plan ahead, to always assess each defining factor, and to always prepare myself for whatever life throws at me. As I type this, I look back and evaluate as well as reflect upon the very occurrences that have led me to where I am today: my family-my parents in particular, as they never made it through to college-so this process is new to everyone within my household, my own failures and successes, my community, and my education have all been vast influences on my character, especially my growth as a young adult. Recently, I’ve been pondering as to what will define me as an individual; what will have the greatest impact on me that will distinguish me from others, and more importantly what will help me apprehend my own goals? Everyone can say that they’re lives being the way they were guided them to the path they ended up on, and I know that is true too, but I feel there’s something more prominent as to why a person chooses to pursue a particular goal, career, or other dealings. This realization arose from my participation in the Regional Program for Excellence, a program that provides students with internships in fields they’re inquiring in before entering college, and my inquisitions regarding the significance as well as the impact on my rapidly changing life.
As I grew up, computers quickly evolved in terms of their capabilities and so did my interest in them. Nowadays it is impossible to deny that the world around us is driven by technology. I saw the technology system, making multiple changes and improvements quite often. I am studying towards a BTEC Diploma IT Practitioners because I love working with technology and this is why I will be studying IT and computing at university and develop more knowledge and skills to become successful in life. I have furthered something that was an interest to not only a hobby, but a lifestyle.
As a junior at National Economics University pursuing an Advanced Educational Program with major in Auditing, I am enthusiastically seeking a special opportunity like Pathway to Success Competition, in which I can learn as much as possible while making a real contribution. I believe that my qualifications and skills combine to create an excellent match for the scholarship. My academic and current part-time job experience have greatly increased both my knowledge and passion for the future career. My education program which was based on U.S accounting standard helps me to approach a lot of specialized subjects in English and open my mind with a new standard.
I am currently an international applicant who would like to declare as a psychology student. To broaden my horizon and to be clear about what kind of institute suits me better, I have been to different universities for the summer session; not only for the credits but to get a better view of what area I am interested in. I have chosen social psychology and what made me grow fond of it was the humorous tone of the professor, and experience that he had throughout his research and career in daily life. It has also consolidated my confidence to be a social worker. There is a world outside Dean College, my current institute and I am hoping to experience something great and remarkable as a transfer to a bigger college.
My passion lies in social studies and math. I believe the historic events help us learn from the past, provide a clearer view for present, and predict the future. I love math, because it is a tool and pathway to many fields such as the financial world. However, I understand that the skills of writing and presenting information are also essential for a person to succeed in a highly competitive world. I am applying this program as an opportunity to develop my skills.
I want to attend the seminar because it’s where I belong. It has always been my belief that I would attend the academy and make my country proud. In turn I have determination, motivation, and desire. I have desire for more of what can make me better than I was the day before. Through my school I have accomplished a lot.
I was born in an ordinary family. My parents are both high school graduates, so I will be the first one to earn a bachelor degree. I decide to pursue a graduate degree, since I want to accumulate more professional knowledge and make myself more competitive in future career. I feel lucky to have so much love from my parents and they support every choice I make.
If someone asked me where I am going to be in ten years, this would be my answer. I will have a great, high-paying job, and beautiful wife and family, and a nice sports car parked in front of my lovely house. When I look into the future, I see myself being successful and happy. Even though I always pictured myself this way, I never worried too much about how I would get there. I feel the Suffolk University can lay the groundwork for making these dreams into reality.
It is a defining aspect of my character that I love any and all opportunities to learn. This quality is not only apparent in the classroom, where I am always challenging myself, but also manifests itself in my countless independent study projects. I am continuously teaching myself something outside of school. My interests typically include programming and electronics, but my natural curiosity has led me on many more endeavors. These have included weaving, beekeeping, and cooking all sorts of wacky concoctions.
As an avid believer in pushing oneself, both my academic and extra-curricular activities have prepared me for the intense rigor of pursuing a career in Foreign Relations. Throughout my high school experience I have pushed myself to become a better student so I can become successful and fulfill my dreams. The knowledge that my high school activities have imparted me with will transcend my future at the University of Texas at Austin, molding well to situations outside of the merely academic. Academically, I have been enrolled in many AP courses which have held me to a high standard of excellence, both allowing me to absorb valuable information lost in less rigorous classes, as well as inspiring me to become a better student.
“The things you are passionate about are not random; they are your calling.” Finding your calling can be a lifelong journey. I was fortunate enough to find mine at eighteen. My dream is to one day have my own makeup line and this will be made possible by attaining a degree in chemistry from the University of St. Thomas. I plan to participate in studying abroad programs and summer research to gain a deeper understanding of chemistry, and to do this at the school I know deep down in my heart is where I am meant to be is a blessing.
As an 7 year experienced international school student, I confidently find myself with a high degree of openness and sociability. Being able to live and study in an environment where my creativity and ambition are warmly welcomed plays an extremely important role in defining who I am as a person. With a mindset of being the best in everything I do, outstanding levels of agreeableness and conscientiousness are necessitated in order for me to achieve my goals. I have a strong inner feeling that pushes me to think outside the box and solve every issue thoroughly. For instance, in the beginning of year 9, I started off with a D score in an English exam, right after that, I determined myself to focus, work on what I need to improve and ultimately finished the course with a nearly-perfect score.
At present, my life is the same as the life that wants to live. Studying in the U.S. is one of my goals and a first step toward my dream. However, I struggled to escape from the gap between ideal and reality. When I was high school student, I had a great longing for a certain university in Japan. The university is one of the most famous in Japan.
Education has always been emphasized by parents. After all, they survived the Khmer Rouge, the Cambodian Genocide in the 1960’s. They were robbed of their early adult years, when they were high school students and could have become college students. As a child, I had already inherited the message that the offspring are, implicitly or directly expected, to succeed in whatever the parents’ unfulfilled accomplishments are. I still remember when they old me, “The only thing that no one ever can steal from you is education” and this had a profound effect on me to this day. But I also knew that this was a caveat. Like most parents, my parents believed that education was a product of school. So although they believed in the power of education, they encourage academics, considering that was all they know. For me, these two words have never been synonyms.
I have many goals in life such as to have a good strong career and family. What is important to me is graduating Central high school and go on to UND. While at UND I plan to get my nursing degree and specialize in pediatrics and truama. I have
