Text Book Assignment Part 1 : What Resonated with you? Chapters 1-6 Making Transitions, Classroom Civility (1) Classroom Civility is a topic on how to behave in a classroom and how to effectively get the most out of your education and money. Classroom Civility goes through great examples of how to improve as a student such as Participation, Communication, and Being on time. Participation is taking notes in class and joining in on class room discussions being more active and applying the knowledge that you learn, this is a characteristic that I constantly try to improve on because it makes my class time more efficient and gives me less work to do later on. Communication talks about how to approach your Professor in different situations and how to stay focused in class by not having small conversations with others. I learned that by not staying focused in class I distract and annoy other classmates and the Professor, by using my class time effectively I will get my work done without bothering anyone. As a result of reading this article. I have chosen two very specific personal action-oriented goals. They are to stay active in class and to participate to the fullest and to communicate with the Professor and my classmates to get a better understanding of the classwork. Making Transitions, Ways to change a habit (2) Ways to change a habit gives many different examples on how to break habits such as Telling the truth, Committing with new behaviors, and Feedback and
If you do not set goals or achievements for yourself then, you will not be successful in life. One major goal that I set for myself is to be elected at the ROTC program at Colts Neck High School. Unfortunately, it will not be an easy goals to achieve. It is going to a long bumpy ride until I reach my destination. However, if I study hard, complete all of my school assignments, and get antoshining grades then, I can find a shortcut to make this ride shorter and maybe even smoother after all. Also, participation is one of the main keys to achieving this goal. I make sure that I participate in class and in after school activities such as track and field and basketball because then my teachers and my coach could recommend me. This single goal persily will overall make me smarter and a hardworking student by the end of the year.
In terms of goals it is very important to set short term and long term goals. I have set my short term goals as one class at a time, just get a great grade in this class whatever
My goals for the remainder of my high school career is to maintain my GPA, but also get myself more involved socially and physically active.
Because I have identified several tools given to me – and that I am aware of my purpose, I can now set goals. My most immediate short-term goals as a college student include: becoming proficient at balancing my time well, soaking up the information that I am being taught, making great grades, serving my community, traveling and studying abroad, and attaining internships and scholarships.
We all know that habitual behaviours are difficult to change (think, for instance, about how hard it is for people to give up smoking.) Habitual behaviours are those behaviours with which we are comfortable. We do not want to move out of our comfort zones to change our habits.
The habit of brushing your teeth and cleaning after yourself is good. However, the habit of smoking or drinking till your dead drunk is not. In Processes of Change, it explains that people fear breaking habits because their habits give them the safe shield of stability. The change means threatening situations and a different way of working with the world. Most people feel as if they can’t survive without their habits.
For my first goal, it is imperative that I obtain an 80% or higher in all my classes for at least one semester during my first two years at University of Maryland (UMD). Accomplishing this goal will guarantee my continuation of the Academic Achievement Program (AAP), and having a B or higher in every class will exempt me from falling below a 2.0. This is SMART goal because it states exactly what I want to achieve for all my classes in one semester. It is measurable and timely because I have given myself four chances to achieve one goal for only one semester. It is achievable if I take advantage of all of my resources, such as my professors, peers, tutors, and the writing center. I will utilize these
Classroom rules are very simple if you do what's needed and obey each and everyone. You will be expected to respect everyone in class and outside of class. Being respectful not with just your teachers but our fellow students, guest, teachers and staff. No getting out
I will achieve my first goal, passing the class with a 90 or above, by reading the class book and studying. This will take hard work, patience, and dedication. I will also reach this goal by paying attention in class, staying off my phone, and cramming before every quiz and test. I will need a good amount of sleep and coffee to assure that I pay all of my attention to what is happening in class.
This semester at AUM I have identified three SMART goals. My first goal is to form better study habits and quit being such a heavy procrastinator. In order to be successful, I have to break my bad habits. The things I did in high school will not work in college. My second goal is to earn a 4.0 GPA this semester. I came to college to succeed. Since I am paying for my tuition it would be in my best interest to earn the highest GPA I can in order to have a better chance at receiving scholarships. My last goal is to maximize my potential by utilizing the different techniques I learned about my learning style. If I am able to this, I have been assured that I will learn more effectively. Hopefully by doing this I will actually retain the information
There are two main goals that I would like to achieve by the end of my first semester of college at Youngstown State University. First, I would like pass all of my courses with at least a B. Second, I need to realize that I am paying for this expensive college education so I need to go to class regularly and be prepared to learn. These are my two personal goals that I wish to achieve by the end of my first semester of college at Youngstown State University.
As a learner my 3 goals are I want to improve on being more reflective because i forget to reflect when I do something about the consequences about it so I want to be more reflective. my 2nd one is I want to start reading harder book so to do that I have to learn vocabulary. my last but not least is I want to get less unfocused and to do that I have to move away from my friends. The reason why I chose these
The classroom learning environment provides a teacher-centered classroom. The lesson was whole group instruction led by the teacher. Students were allowed very little time to collaborate with their peers. Students worked independently in their journals after reading the novel together with the class. Directions were clearly stated and distractions in the classroom were brought to a minimum as the lesson began. The teacher circulated through the classroom making sure students were not bothering others while working on the task. Assignments and goals were clearly written on the board but never addressed.
The first goal that I will achieve will be to ask for help on a difficult math question rather than skipping it and waiting for the next day. I can accomplish this by calling over someone for help or asking friends around me. If I am the only one around I can save it for the end or after I review the lesson again. The second goal is that I will do as many extra credit chances I get. I can achieve this by making myself take the sheet and work on it rather than other things. I can take away some time or stay up late to get it done. If I am allowed to, I can also ask for help so I can get it done
7. Creating Actionable Goals related to obtaining your Graduate Degree- All the goals that I plan to use will be strong and hopefully attainable; I think that all
