What I did on Christmas Break 2017.
On the last day of the semester, I was still a bit sick, but I had to take my exams. After I finished and corrected the language arts exam, I got a 90 and I was happy. I texted my dad and he came and got me from school. When I got home, I slept for an hour. Then most of the break was playing on my computer.
The hardest thing I did on Christmas break was figure out what to ask for. I recently bought a Nintendo Switch so I was going to ask for some more games for it for Christmas. Then I suddenly had the idea to ask for a bunch of legos. That lasted 3 days. I switched up the amazon shopping cart(because that is my "wishlist") to some switch games.
During Thanksgiving Break this year, I went to Flagstaff, Arizona. That was the best memory because I can’t choose one specific one! :) I had so much fun in Arizona, and this is what I did.
Abigail Elie Professor Carter English 100 A 21 November 2014 The difference between Christmas and Hanukkah Every year people are jolly to celebrate their own traditions. Whether it is Christmas or Hanukkah, people find joys with giving and receiving gifts. Both holidays differ in many ways. There are many differences in the holidays Christmas and Hanukkah.
For a college student, there’s no feeling quite like the joy of heading home for Thanksgiving break (1-Archetypes). Sure, Christmas break is longer and definitely has more presents, but Thanksgiving break is at just the perfect time in the middle of the semester; right before the chaos of finals and right when the agony of missing home is starting to become unbearable. I definitely felt this way during my first semester away from home. The days leading up to the break were full of exciting jitters and anticipation. Finally, just a day before classes officially let out for the break, my mom and brother pulled up to my dorm after their nine-hour drive to Alpine, Texas, ready to pack me up and haul me back to Houston.
I'm glad to know that you like my gifts. I hope the notepad I gave you will help you be more organizing. Here at Texas A&M we have quite a lot of traditions and it’s impressed me to know that you learn several of our traditions only on your first visit.
During the winter break, I did a lot of things and I spent most of the time with my family and friends. One of the things, I did during the break was to go meet my uncle in Hayward, California. It was a very long drive but it was worth it. When we went there I met cousins who I haven’t seen for a long time. Then my cousins and I went to the mall to do some shopping. Then on our way back from the mall, we went to theater to watch a movie. We spent our Christmas in Hayward and I got a lot of presents. Then we came back to Bakersfield one day after Christmas. Second thing, I did was that I went to go meet my elementary friend. She wanted me to come over to her house. So I went to her house and we did a lot of stuff. First, we baked cupcakes and cookies. Then we watched a movie and after that we played
The weeks between Thanksgiving and winter break can make or break a student's semester grades. And for college freshmen, this period may be the first-time students experience final exams or projects, when it's already easy to get distracted with the holidays right around the corner. Your grade in a class has the potential to change significantly in the last few weeks of the semester. Here are some tips for acing finals (and doing well in the weeks prior):
Contrary to common belief, you can actually learn a lot over Christmas break. Over break, I learned that everything is not always as it sees, and to not overreact about something without having enough knowledge. To explain what I learned, I am going to tell a little story about a Christmas party that my dad's side of the family had.
Christmas break was a lot of fun because, I went to the movies and out to eat at Sazon Mexican Restaurant with my cousin, her boyfriend, and my boyfriend. I got to watch insidious
Christmas is celebrated in many places, many ways, and at different times. Have you ever thought about how other people celebrate Christmas around the world? And some places might not even celebrate at all, it depends on their religion what type of family they grow up in. For instance, in some countries do most of the same things people do in America like skiing and ice skating. Now let's talk about how people in Canada celebrate Christmas.
Each year my family celebrates X-mas by taking us to to place where we can eat and then they give us our presents. Each year I always asked for money because I like money and I want to start saving up to as much as I can.On X-mas we went to Reno to celebrate X-mas and we also got to see snow, P.S it was my first time seeing snow.I was very happy that day and I want to go to Reno again for X-mas so I can go see the snow. This year we actually ate food for Thanksgiving because we were actually not lazy enough to not do anything. When I have my own family I want to go to places we haven't been to and do stuff we haven't done.
During my Summer Break, I went to Tennessee with my family, brother in law, and my brother in laws and sister’s friend John. We decided to stop at a hotel for the night, in Kentucky, and to drive the rest of the way in the morning.
Since I was young, I have always had a busy schedule. With school and two sports, I rarely have quality time with my family. But all that changes when summer break rolls around, and my family goes on adventurous trips. On every single trip my family and I have had a great bonding experience and it gets better each year. Every summer has been exciting and has led me to travel to all 50 states. All of these experiences have helped me to appreciate and bond with my family.
My winter break was very interesting because we traveled much more than we normally do. This is because we went to the ASU game in El Paso, which was special because we almost never travel outside of Arizona or New Mexico. For Christmas, we opened presents. I got a drone with a camera and a robotics kit. The next day, we left town to visit our grandma and grandpa in Duncan AZ. Most of our family was there and we had Tamales and Chiles for dinner, which tasted great, even though we are not of Hispanic ancestry. I got out my drone, but I didn’t have much time to fly it because the day was fading away from us because of arriving late. We slept at our grandparents’ house for the night. The day after that, I flew my drone a bit more and then we
The 12 days of christmas was written for the 12 days in between Dec 25 and Jan 6. This song was originally made in England. Catholics sang this song outside without the feeling of getting arrested. People start counting down 12 days of christmas 12 days before christmas, but the true mark to start counting is Dec 25th, christmas day. It counts down to Jan 6th. Jan 6th is the arrival of the 3 wise men. The arrival of the 3 wise men is called the Epiphany. What do the gifts mean of the days of christmas? Well here is what they mean. 1st day of christmas doesn’t mean anything. 2nd day of christmas, 2 turtle doves, means new and old testaments. 3rd day of christmas, 3 french hens, means faith, hope and charity. 4th day of christmas, 4 calling birds,
My winter Break was pretty laid back until Christmas arrived then it was crazy and everyone was everywhere. We went to my grandma bemaws house and did Christmas there but it was so slammed packed it was like we were sardines all smashed into a can. I got some really cool gifts like a computer, a Vera Bradley bag, a really nice school/computer backpack, and some
