I would like to be considered for admission to this Colorado Christian University because I believe that it will be a perfect fit for me. I will have the opportunity to receive a degree and strengthen myself in the Word of God. For many years, I have been interested in studying Psychology. My interest in pursuing this field stems from many factors, but the number one reason will be my love for people. I consider myself to be big hearted and a compassionate person. God has blessed me with a caring spirit. I have love for people and I desire to be a helping hand to as many people I can reach. For many years I have found myself working with foster children or taking care of those who needed caregiver assistance and I want to go further. I believe …show more content…
I have the drive and determination to obtain a degree and finish school. In my family’s history, it was always a challenge to finish high school. I knew that I wanted to go further in life because I knew I had the potential to be something. I then worked hard to obtain my GED. After receiving my degree, I have attended school so that I can work in the health field to become a CNA. This was a great journey for me. I had come across many bumps in the road, but I kept the faith and I worked hard so that I can complete what I had started. I desired to be a finisher, to finish whatever project or task I begin. Completing the course for my GED was a great milestone, but when I finished school recently and passed all the required tests to become a CNA, it was the proudest moment of my life. That is when I really realized that there is nothing impossible or too hard for God. I realized that as long as I keep Him first then I can do anything I put my mind to do. I have really grown and understood what it means in the book of James where it states “faith without works is dead.” I’ve always had faith, but I needed to grasp the concept that in order to be successful in life, you have to work at
The word “Christian” in Colorado Christian University is more than just a belief shared amongst the Faculty and Student Body. It is the foundation on which all aspects of the educational experience are built. Beginning with a strong Statement of Faith, which aligns with core beliefs of the National Association of Evangelicals, the University proclaims its belief “in the Bible as being the only authoritative Word of God, that God exists in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as well as belief in the salvation and resurrection that is only found in Christ Jesus” (Statement of Faith at Colorado Christian University, n.d.).
Word of Faith is over 10 years old and still going strong. We currently have a State Licensed Childcare and Preschool that operates in Pueblo, Colorado. We also serve in Denver, Colorado where my husband Pastor Greater St. John Baptist Church. He has pastored at Greater St. John for over 2 year. Understanding the need to seek the Word of God for myself and having the desire to serve Him whole heartedly, I embarked on my journey in 2009. I had a fear of not being successful in college due to my failure of not completing High School based on a lack of a ½ credit. This was a secret that I kept for years for my children because, I wanted them to be successful in High School and not be distracted by my set back. In 2009, after much prayer, I decided to share with my children what I had experienced. They had all graduated High School by then. Following and being obedient to God to share my story with them, they all encouraged me to go forth and achieve my High School Diploma. I called Goal Academy and set up everything to visit them. I complete my Diploma in a short time. I was only a ½ credit short but I had to take additional classes to be enrolled there. I completed the classes with a
Escondido Christian School (ECS) is an amazing school, but there are always areas for improvement. For example the bathrooms, better playground equipment, but what most jr. highers would like a Gaga ball pit. Now yes it will cost three hundred and ninety dollars.Yes, kids may get hurt, but in spending the money to make a pit it will save you money. If the kids play Gaga ball they will stay off the playground which means the equipment will not brake as fast.
Nathanael is one of the most dubious, mysterious and hazy characters out of every one of the twelve apostles. When looking through the literature available one must find his or her focus on the Gospel according to John in Chapter 1:43-51. It is safe to say that we were only given one vivid story to put some flesh to the personality of Nathanael. This is very different from the other apostles, be it they have very
I hereby write in regards to admission into Grand Canyon University. As a matter of fact, I chose this particular university based on its Christian values as well as the excellent students it has produced from the wide variety of quality courses. The university has also shown a commitment to developing their students all-round through extra-curricular activities and other areas with the fact that it was the first ever for-profit university- and the only one too- to participate in Division One athletics for NCAA. The institution offers me with the best environment and university to pursue my education and foster the attainment of my long term ambitions and dreams.
I never thought to be a Christian leader. As a matter of fact, I am a person who did not know about God for 26 years. I was the center of my life, and there was no room for God to enter. Even when I was attending church service, I was trying not to be exposed to other church people. In other words, I was the kind of person who was afraid to walk into a life of faith. However, in the past three years, God has changed me in many ways, and showed me so many miraculous things. And, finally here I am. Being a Christian leader seems the most challenging job in the world. I am working as the chairman of a youth ministry, and walking on the path to be a church leader. When God called me to work for the
Ever since I was six years old, the year I was baptized, I have been on fire for the Lord. I attended a Christian school for eight years and have always been very involved at my church. My first experience outside of my “Christian bubble” was when I went to a public high school. For the first time in my life, I was out of my comfort zone. Being at a public school challenged my faith, strengthened my leadership skills, and forced me to branch out and meet people I would have never encountered otherwise. However, even though being at a public school helped strengthen my faith in ways I would have never guessed, I believe attending a Christian university—like Liberty—is the best choice to further my education. Going to college is new and exciting, but it can also be a demanding and intimidating experience. Being so far away from home, in a different environment,
I enjoyed reading your post. I am in agreement with your statement in Christian coaching promoting greatness and God’s plan in someone’s life. As Catherine defined Christian coaching during the video lecture, “Christian life coaching is a new helping relationship to propel Christian formation” (American Association of Christian Counselors, n.d.). I also believed that it is essential to embrace our Christian worldview when working as Christian coaches because this is what would set us apart from other coaches. In addition.there are many important aspects to consider when working as a professional in a discipline such as this one but the key aspect is to understand our spiritual foundations. In other words, we as Christian coaches need to have
in just the sophomore class due to stress, repugnance, or isolation. A copious amount of students at the school complain about stress and ridiculous rules. As a matter of fact, about 75 percent of students are disinterested with the school. The students believe that the school needs to progress in order to keep interest. Advancement in rules, a time for community every day, and the reduction in homework can significantly adjust a student’s perspective on school. Likewise, it illustrates how Christians should behave. To improve Northwest Christian School, one should make the lunchroom into a cafe before school, allow students to wear their school shirts any day of the week, and assign no homework on Wednesdays or weekends.
There are many Church of Christ, Scientist spread around internationally. The First Church of Christ, Scientist was founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1879 in Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Baker was an Influential Author as well as a religious leader. During her time she published “Science and Health” along with launching “The Christian Science Monitor”. Thus inspiring people to become a part of her new profound Church.
evangelical churches have had the largest growth. There are a number of reasons for the growth of evangelical churches in the last two decades of the twentieth century. First, Catholics were often targets of government repression for their "subversive" involvement in base Christian communities, while evangelicals were safe from government repression. Second, the evangelical emphasis on personal conversion is considered apolitical. Finally, small evangelical churches provide their members with a strong sense of community and family. During my whole life, my family and religion are the only ones that have helped me the most. My family have always encourage me in all types of situations and also religious because only God could guide me when I

As I approach the end of my high school career, I start thinking if I am prepared and ready to face the next step in my life. College is known to test a man’s responsibility in order to prepare him to face the world alone. Jesuit High School has changed my life throughout the years I have attended the school. Jesuit has prepared me for college and taught me how to become a more responsible man. When I was thinking of where I should apply to high school, Jesuit was not my first option; however, coming from a family of Jesuit alumni, I knew it was the only school for me. Throughout my earlier years at Jesuit, I struggled and was miserable due to the overwhelming work and rules I was required to follow. However, I soon realized what the school was about in its mission in turning its students into men for others. I have found that Jesuit High School has transformed me educationally, has made me a more responsible man, and has taught me to be a man for others.
There are many situations where I felt myself and others were treated unfairly; However, I’m going to share the one that struck out to me the most. Growing up, I was raised in a Christian background, specifically Methodist. Even though I respect the views of those who are not Christian, unfortunately not all Christians do that. Some Christians use their Christianity to judge those who are not living up to their expectations or those who are not righteous in their eyes. I experienced it myself because I was in a situation where other Christians were castigating me.
I feel by attending at Colorado Christian University will give me opportunity to advance my career with Frontier Communications. I am wanting to go into training which requires intensive communication skills along with leadership and organizational skills. I also want to continue my education to display and model to my 2 children that you can reach your goals no matter what obsicles that may come to try to deter you. I was pregnant with my first child at 15 years of age. The struggle from having a child at a young age was a very difficult and challenging time in my life. During that time I had no thoughts of continuing my education beyond high school. Some days I had no energy, I no focus, and even determination, I was at a point where I was only surviving day to day was
