Dogs are the closest creature to man. Sure they are considered as best friend by some. Compared to others, they show an attitude of a friend. They stay beside you no matter what. They also have this sacrificial attitude for their owners. Their being playful and sweet is also remarkable, to the extent that you find yourself longing for them.

Finding a pet dog that is more of a joy than a chore is necessary when asking: How much is that puppy in the window?

Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a pet as “a domesticated animal kept for pleasure rather than a utility.” Dogs have been considered man's best friend for centuries. They have stood side by side through natural disasters, family tragedies, the gift of life, birthdays, and anything else that comes to mind. These furry friends do not judge people for how they look, but show love and compassion to everyone. Dogs help people cope mentally and emotionally, receive sufficient exercise, and create new friendships.

Have you ever been to a Chinese restaurant that handed you a paper with a bunch of random animals and years on it? Most people will just throw it away and not pay that much attention to it. That little piece of paper contains a basic information about the Chinese Zodiac just enough to get you hooked. Dog personality based people are more of a social breed. These types on average are more likely to be men. This is not much of a surprise since dogs are usually referred to as “man’s best friend.” Their personalities center on being conservative and extroverted (Reader’s Digest). As such, they hold to tradition and are an outgoing, overtly expressive person. Within social gatherings, they move around a lot usually seeking attention or people to talk to. Their sense of humor tends to be drawn to slapstick humor. Slapstick is a type of broad physical comedy involving boisterous, violent activities which may exceed the boundaries of common sense. The home life of a dog person usually resides within rural areas, and are most often married with a family.

Many many years ago, the Jade Emperor thought that there should be way to calculate time. On the Jade Emperor’s birthday he invited animals to a swimming contest and the first 12 winners will each have a zodiac after them.
