With most compelling evidence, it is the goal of Phinell Christian Academy (PCA) to provide a (CMP) that implement procedures for potential crises. As an illustration, the plan includes who to contact, what to do, how to handle the children, and so forth (Musial, 2007). Similarly, Thompson (n.d.) also expresses that a good crisis management plan not only addresses potential risks, but also provides appropriate training to managers and staff (par. 1). By the same token, the CMP is also used as a recruiting method. Coupled with other inquires, parents often inquiry about the safety of their children. With this in mind, having a CMP readily available, gives parents a sense of comfort knowing that if a crisis occurs the academy is prepared
A lot of catholic schools are closing for many reasons such as a faltering economy, fewer Church members, rising costs and the inability of families to pay, secularization, and changing demographics. The school I chose is St. Agatha Catholic academy, which a is a kids program in Chicago. St. Agatha Catholic Academy is closing at the end no of 2016 due to low enrollment and financial difficulties. They recently turned into a pre kindergarten through the eight grade school last year, they only enrolled twelve children. The pastor of St. Agatha said that "It was pretty much expected. I attended the Centennial Christian School to visit one of the student, Ashley, who is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. It was interesting to see Ashley’s care plan that was written by Chris Robberts that outlines care of her stoma, flushing of water every hour at school via feeding tube, administering mediation via feeding, and what to do when the student has a ‘blank stare’ or grand mal seizure.
The Bienville Parish crisis management plan is a guide administration refers to during an “unanticipated tragic event to immediately and effectively de-escalate the situation, potentially forgoing a school-wide catastrophe” (BPSB, 2014, para. 1). The first two pages of the parish – wide crisis management plan explains the purpose and importance of the plan. All members of the school’s staff should be aware of the crisis management plan, and in the event of a crisis, there should be crisis management team consisting of willing internal stakeholders “clearly understood responsibilities” (Bagin et al., 2009, pp. 161). Members of a crisis management team should include internal stakeholders such as administrative staff, school resource officers
As has been noted, the safety of the children and staff members at Phinell Christian Academy is the highest priority. Therefore, the purpose of the emergency procedures is to provide simple guidelines to insure the safety of children and staff members in the event of an emergency. Since emergencies can escalate to crises, it is important to practice all emergency procedures with staff so they are conditioned to respond and less likely to panic. As required, the CMT continues to plan and prepare for emergencies that are likely to occur in the organization. Accordingly, all potential emergencies should still be identified in the risk assessment section of the CMP (Penuel, Statler, and Hagen, (2013). Nevertheless, the basic idea to any emergency
The purpose of the Phinell Christian Academy Crisis Management Plan (PCACMP) is to create a plan that will provide emergency procedures that are specific to the organization’s program to ensure the physical safety of staff and children. Specifically, the PCACMP major components include (a) crisis management team/chain of command; (b) evacuation procedures; (c) emergency procedures; (d) parent reunification procedures and (e) crisis recover procedures. In general, the CMP is located in the main office and each classroom in a hard copy notebook. On the positive side, the plan is written in very simple terms for easy implementation. To simplify, the CMP includes a cover page, table of content, narrative of the major components along with floor
Texas Christian University (TCU) located in Fort Worth, Texas is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which is a denomination that values discussion, freedom of belief; and a concern for all individuals. TCU has a nursing school, Harris College School of Nursing. There are nursing associations that the school offers, however, there is not a religious group that the nurses can come together and reflect in spiritual ways. There are 24 religious organizations listed on TCU Religious and Spiritual Life (2015), though, a student nurse does not have religious way to connect that is central to his/her type of need. The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (RSL) would be responsible for adding Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF).
I performed my field experience at Chiefland Elementary. Chiefland is a very small town with the population of six thousand. There are over eight hundred students enrolled at Chiefland Elementary. There are fifty-two instructional staff members and two administers. In those fifty-two staff members, there is one African American teacher and one male teacher; the rest are women. This is a white dominate school. In the school there is 73% Caucasian students, 17% African American students, and 4% Hispanic students. There is only 3% of students that are ESOL and 5% are Gifted and Talented. This semester we learned that in small areas and with low income schools, there are more Hispanics and African American people. In this case, Chiefland Elementary

Gulf Shores Middle School- On October, 22, 2015, the eighth grade students were taken, as a field trip, to Playhouse in the Park, to go and watch plays of Edgar Allan Poe poems for the mystery and suspense unit. The students were taken to see The Tell-Tale Heart, Ligeia, The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether, The Cask of Amontillado performed by the kind people at Playhouse at the Park. They did this because they’re in the mystery and suspense unit, and they have been reading Edgar Allan Poe works, such as The Tell-Tell Heart. After the plays the students were expected to create think and answer questions about what differences were in the plays, and the original pieces of writing.
